I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

All I can think of (other than how much some of these deals stink) is why should I buy now when purchases in a month will probably net me cards and progress towards some event badge levels?

I didn't own Bioshock 2 until after GFWL was removed and Minerva's Den was given to all existing owners for free, so I am pleased.

These deals are not too bad. Wolfenstein TNO is tempting.

The Steam Complaints Event. Fill out Complaint cards and send them in to be ignored by Gaben. Emojis 33% if you give Gaben permission to take over your phone camera and fap to you changing.

PutinGate is rejecting me because of my "proxy". Help?
In Russia, we reject PutinGate.

Happy with this sale. There were a lot of old ass games I was waiting for to hit a decent price point, and finally did (lucas arts adventure games pack, quake games, hexen, arx fatalis). I'll look through my wishlist again later and see if i want to buy anything else or not. So far so good although i cant even find dragon age inquisition in the store, let alone it being five bucks like i was hoping!

Well, at least GTA V is actually legit on sale this time, instead of that garbage they pulled last time with the bundle.  (even though it is a crappy 40 percent)

I just got a refund on Amnesia™: Memories from WinGameStore since it wasn't an actual glitch. Now I have a $2.99 credit there instead, SOB!  :whistle2:(

Sega guy 1:  "Ok, Alien Isolation and the individual DLC are set at 75 percent off.  Now, to set the collection at 75 percent off."

Sega guy 2:  "NOPE,  FIFTY percent off.  Maybe we'll get some suckers to give us an extra 5 bucks." (if bought individually.  more like 7 bucks cheaper if you buy Isolation, Season pass and the 2 extra DLC)

At this point you may as well wait for the base price to drop.

$15 for Assassin's Creed Rogue (Canadian Uplay store). I would consider that but I'm swamped with some other games like Fallout 4 and Just Cause, plus I just bought Borderlands Handsome Collection cause owning B2 on only two platforms was just not enough.

Hmm, just noticed this sale on Steam, is this a black friday sale, and when did it start?

Nothing jumps out at me for the Steam sale.  Disappointment out of the way.  I'd be interested in Endless Legend if it didn't have a crapload of DLC.  Prices are mediocre across the board.  Grim Dawn only getting a 30% discount when it's had 50% off in the past.

On EL, I had plenty of fun playing it before without the DLC. Tempted to grab the one on bigger discount that actually adds stuff beyond some bigass new units. Of course probably like ES there will be a gold edition

battlefront is well worth the 49.99, that is the best thing they will have in the sale, buy it now!
old way of buying games: Battlefront is 40 - 50 bucks and you get a whole game. Want some additional optional content? 20 - 30 bucks

Today's way of buying games: Half the game is 50 bucks and you better give us another 50 to get the rest.

EA sucks (along with SquareEnix, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft and like half the other smaller publishers)

but its star wars!

May get Elite Dangerous. Odd pricing at 67% off.
You should know everything in Elite Dangerous is included in the next 'expansion' they will sell which is coming up in a few months or so. They're going the Guild Wars route in updating the game in paid installments. Each successive one contains the content of the priors.

eh, adjusted for inflation we pay about the same as before. games also tend to be longer now as a whole than they did then so you get more for your dollar

Yea, Im reading about it now. I cant stand that sort of thing, and not really interested like I thought I may be. Oh well.

I'd be more interested if they told me what items are at what discount.
Turns out the discount is actually Valve's cut of the fees... so almost everything is ~5% off, except for the really cheap (~3c) items, where it's 33% because their cut is 1c.

In other words, the 33% claim (while technically correct) is just marketing rubbish.

To all items on market. Just open the market page ull see the normal prices and discounted price in green right below.
Seems like this only shows if you already have the mobile authenticator enabled.

Also, Company of Heroes 2 and all DLC are 75% off (and still too expensive) but the CoH 2 Master Collection is still $59.99. You could save -$27.82!

EDIT - And Spacebase DF-9 is 90% off for $0.99. Might be worth picking up if this fan restoration patch keeps progressing?

I NEVER got the stupid authenticator installed. Hell... i got the mobile badge for some reason, I never installed the goddamn thing!
You don't need to do all of the things to get that badge, and only one of those requires the app (but you do need either the app or a mobile number to get the badge.)

I can't even find anything I'd actually play to impulse buy, not anything that's less than $20 at least. Anyone here play Project Cars or Asseto Corsa? I might just give in and buy something at a higher price than I should just because.
