Some things I learned through doing this...most of the games I've played on Steam are shorter ones, and while I pretty much liked all the games in my top ten, it's an odd mixture. Some of the games are among my all time favorites, while some are rather "meh."

Agreed with the DS2/Bioshock 2 analogy. Will also buy the dlc pretty much as soon as it's released...disagree w/the ds1 to demon's souls comparison. Just thought dark souls was better than demon's all around.

Why not. 

1. Dark Souls - 165 hours. (game of the year, every year)

2. NBA 2k14 - 152 hours. (so many scrubs who pick the heat in ranked got rekt in these hours)

3. NBA 2k13 - 81 hours.

4. Dark Souls 2 - 74 hours. (still pretty good game despite what you heard from console gamers)

5. Borderlands 2 - 55 hours. (I honestly don't even like this game.)

6. Civ V - 48 hours. (This is a great game if you didn't have anything important to do for the next 6 hours.)

7. Skyrim - 48 hours. (Cool game just for the scope and size of it, but minute to minute gameplay is boring as shit.)

8. Sleeping Dogs. - 37 hours. (One of my favorite open world games ever.)

9. Hitman Absolution. - 27 hours. (I'll finish this game some day.)

10. Trials Evolution. 25 hours. (Garbage port of a great game.) 

 
Picking just one Steam game, I'd have to go with Saints Row 2. STALKER SoC is a pretty close second. It is a bummer that SR2 was such a shitty port cause I think it would have garnered a lot more fans had it been playable to a wider audience.

I have 161 days (3879 hours) in FM 08-13 combined (er.. WWSM 08 and 09 then FM 10-13, even though WWSM 08 and 09 are the same as FM 08 and FM 09 but whatever), does that make me the fakest of #fakecags? =p

(I seriously hope a good bit of that is idle time, like passing out while playing, leaving it running while doing other shit, etc. can't believe I have 700+ hours in 3 FMs and a 1000 in another without a good bit of idling. embarrassed to admit the time on those too...)

No worries. I use loopholes in the system to save my embarrassment. My 20 hours of Infestation are only on Steam (in the last two weeks). Thankfully Steam doesn't track the hours I may have spent on it since I bought it directly from the devs two years ago.

Also, Steam doesn't track my Minecraft playtime which may be well over 100 hours...well well well over 100 hours...

The Orange Box was my first purchase on Steam. I managed to crank out 1600+ hours in TF2 while going to graduate school. I was broke and needed something to do between cram sessions. Can't say it was all good times, but it helped waste time on the cheap.
