DS2 is like the Bioshock 2 of the series. More of the same gameplay, and improved in some ways, but it can't possibly have the impact of its predecessor. (And to begin with, Dark Souls 1 was overrated by people who never played Demon's Souls just as Bioshock was overrated by people who never played System Shock 2. :p)

My issue wasn't with the quality of the game, as I've mentioned in past posts that I enjoyed it quite a bit. In fact, I'm not even mad that they announced DLC, because I expected it. My rage purely comes from the fact that I suspect I will end up buying this DLC first chance I get. :oops:

For me, it's not possible, and I'm a fake CAG who just broke 300 recently. Even though I try to only get things I think I'll play (including code drops), sometimes I look at my library and see a game and think, "What?! I own that?" or "When the hell did I get that?" (most likely for something I spodered from a Twitter giveaway)

There's nothing that really stands out to me as a favorite. I could probably answer this better if I actually played everything in my library. :lol:

Of course the notion of picking your #1 favorite steam game is silly but I'd decide it by hitting my Profile->Games->All Games and picking my top-playtime game which would be Borderlands 2. (Though more recently surpassed by non-Steam Diablo.)

The ones with the most hours aren't necessarily my favorites - but the top three of those are:

Rusty Hearts; 103 hours - played with my friend since there wasn't a lot else she wanted to play at the time. Then we got to the part with annoying gorilla enemies and lost interest.

Dead Island; 70 hours - it was alright - we'd make fun of our characters for "Oh my God"ing at the sight of sandcastles on the beach. There are zombies all around and you OMG at a sandcastle? :lol: Friend didn't like that her favorite characters in both this game and Riptide died (won't say who they were, spoilers). Probably more fun with 4 players.

Don't Starve; 58 hours - I liked it in Early Access, but less after they added things like spoiling food and winter. I tried to play it earlier today, but there's so much more stuff than when I last played. I ended up spending time idling for cards while looking up what all of the new sandbox options were and checking out mods.

EDIT: Since everyone else is posting top 7-15s, here's the rest of my top 10:

You don't eat humans, silly, you just suck on them and then spit them out. Too much bone and gristle.

I really love Sleeping Dogs and TWD, but they don't have the pick up and play anytime and have a blast feel of Killing Floor.

In addition, people who buy the game now will automatically receive a full version of ORION: Prelude when it launches (I guess they're re-releasing the game?) so now's probably a good time to buy.

Most of us have around 1000 Steam games and some even more. One thousand games! Sure a lot of it's bundle trash, but it's still not an easy decision to come up with your single most favorite Steam game. I don't know, I think my mind is just trying to subtly prove a point or something against my sometimes impulsive consumerist behavior.

Don't like picking just one but for the sake of having an answer, Fallout: New Vegas is the only one on my shortlist I didn't go, "yeah, but..." so I guess it'd be my favorite. 

In terms of Time played my top are:

(Went to 7 just to get something other then versions of FM on there). One reason I can't/wouldn't use playtime for my favorite. The other being it could have been an adventure game, and considering most are 8-12 hours and rarely something you play over and over it'd be unlikely they'd make it just on playtime. There are a few I need to re-install, to go a bit off-topic, been long enough since I've played AlternativA, and should play some of the Sam & Max episodes again (and finish season 2 or start Season 3, forget where I left off).

We know your choice would be probably be either the 1st or 2nd game in a series, while part 3 isn't on Steam.

And your favorite game on Origin is part 3 of that same series - and flat-out requires Origin. ;)
