MyD's thoughts are from the ESO Beta (No NDA's during that time), which he thinks is one of the most boring RPG's made in recent memory. The final product of ESO might not suck as much as the Beta did - but it's probably still loaded w/ major suckage, bland-ness, and cliches galore.

Since you have motion sickness, this is of utmost importance for you to watch this.

PC gamers normally sit ULTRA-CLOSE to a monitor, many of them need higher FOV settings - which puts more stuff on screen for their brain to process correctly. If the FOV is low - it can cause the gamer to get sick; not processing the scene correctly.

The real problem is - often console-versions have lower FOV b/c they normally game much further away from their TV/monitor, sitting on a couch - and dev's/pub's just might not take this into account when porting to the PC. The PC version sometimes just doesn't get option for higher FOV; especially if it's a lazy and/or basic PC port.

Also - you don't wanna put FOV way too high b/c the look gets more and more fish-eyed, as you increase it further and further.

There are other things that could cause you to get sick - like when game's have head-bob on; motion blur on; other graphical tricks; keeping your mouse sensitivity too fast and too high (b/c you're moving the cam too fast, can cause you to get sick); etc etc. If a game has these options - if you get sick easily, might wanna turn 'em off or turn them down much lower (if possible).

Not all games have options to disable this stuff, unfortunately. If worst comes to worst and some options like those ain't in the option menus - hopefully there are some INI files or files of some kind you can edit - at your own risk, b/c usually stuff not in option menus ain't been tested w/ that game; so who knows what graphically might break when running the game.

Having higher FOV can really tax systems - especially older hardware and older PC's - b/c it's putting a bigger scene w/ much more info on the screen (especially if you crank it way up) for your PC to process - so, this is also something to keep in mind.

I luckily don't have problems w/ using FOV and getting sick - and things of that nature.

But since many do - it's important to know your stuff about FOV.

I hope his vid-link helps and what I've told you helps - b/c I could imagine this sickness must not be fun. :(

And I hope more PC games support higher FOV's and more options for gamers that unfortunately might have these kinds of motion sickness problems - so they can stay happy, healthy, and game on to the fullest! :D
