Surprisingly The Last Movie You Saw Didn't Suck Pt. 2

It wasn't bad, just wasn't as good as I was expecting.

It's worth watching.

I've tried to convince myself IM3 isn't as bad as I keep thinking it is, but then I keep remembering horrible things from it.
Haha, I'm that way with fast and furious 6, I'm a fan of the rock so try to give his movies a chance. It's weird, he's not a particularly great actor, I just find him ridiculously charming so can watch him in anything he's in.

My Top 10 Movies:

1) Pacific Rim
2) The Wolverine
3) Man of Steel
4) Thor: The Dark World
5) Iron Man 3
6) G.I. Joe Retaliation

I like the Fast and Furious movies because they're really honest. When you watch the trailer that's pretty much what you're getting when you see the movie.

The trailer for IM3 was a pretty huge lie.

2nd place for biggest lie as far as trailers goes is The Lone Ranger.

My problem is I don't see enough movies right when they come out. Think I liked just about everything I saw in the theater.

Not sure I could put together even a top 5 list of movies this year since the ones I saw weren't all that great.  Only movies that stick out were Gravity and Frozen as good, but wouldn't make it into my all-time favs.

'This is the End' probably my favorite of the year. The Place Beyond the Pines, Gravity, and World War Z were also pretty good. I don't watch many new releases though, and there's a lot of great stuff I'm sure I missed.

Pacific Rim was definitely my least favorite.

I guess I'll throw one up:

1. Gravity

2. Fast and Furious 6

3. Star Trek Into Darkness

4. The World's End

5. Oblivion

6. Catching Fire

7. Man of Steel

8. Pain & Gain (Michael Bay's best movie that isn't Bad Boys 2)

9. Kick-Ass 2 (really disappointed after how much I liked the 1st one but still worth a top 10)

10. Hangover 3

I'll do my list

1. Iron Man 3

2. 12 Years A Slave

3. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug

4. Blue Jasmine

5. Dallas Buyers Club

6. The Wolverine

7. Mud

8. Blue is the Warmest Color

9. Pacific Rim

10. Thor: The Dark World

I've yet to see Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, Inside Llewyn Davis, Captain Phillips and a few more.

A few films were disappointments for me. They're not bad movies, just missed their marks. Man of Steel, This is the End and Gravity would be in that category for me.

We are the millers 3.5/5
Pretty funny movie but had a few cheesy moments

White House down 2/5
Action was cool and the concept was alright but the bad acting and lame one liners brought the movie down for me

Elysium had preposterous technology to serve the plot and the ending was fairly expected/weak but the ride was worth taking.  By the end I wanted to know more about the mercenaries though.  They seemed to have a more interesting background than the main characters lol.

Elysium-pretty good. Had a few flaws here and there but all around a fun movie.

Hobbit 2- getting a little tired of "folly chases" the movie at this point. It's almost like during the scriptwriting process anytime they hit a snag they just decided to throw in a chase scene. These movies are severely suffering from the artificial padding and drawing them out into 3 overly long movies. Pretty disappointed all around. I will say though that I did the HFR 3d this time around and I really liked that. I'm hoping it starts to catch on more but it doesn't seem to be at all.

This Is The End was actually really great.

When I learned it was non-stop comedy, i knew it'd blow, but it was surprisingly great. Made me laugh really hard.

Don Jon - 7.5/10 there were some funny moments and observations. Good night's fun.

Fruitvale Station - 9/10 one of the years best and if I hadn't heard about it from some people on here I wouldn't have known it existed.

Halo Forward Unto Dawn: 8/10 - Top notch production, probably the closest we will get to a life action Halo movie for now.
G.I. Joe Retaliation: 8/10 - Better than ROC! Just lacking a few key characters to be more complete.
Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack: 10/10 - Epic finale!
Iron Man 3: 4/10 - Starts off okay, but slowly gets crappy. The weakest IM and MCU film IMHO.
Home Alone: 9/10 - Ahhh!

Side Effects - 2/5 - Started off rather strongly but then it quickly lost it's focus and never gained it back. I have to laugh every time Channing Tatum tries to acts because it just doesn't work.
The Family - pretty awful film.

Despicable Me - Really enjoyed this, surprised how much I ended up liking it.
Liked Despicable Me as well, it was really good.
Thor The Dark World 3/5 from the trailer I though Earth would be the main battlefield but its not. There were quite few touching moments but its not as good as the first one.

Blackfish 4/5

This film is a documentary on orca whales, the whale trainers and seaworld's animal cruelty and negligence. This film is a good watch for nature lovers and hits you in the feelings. The movie is currently on Netflix so no excuse not to watch it.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off:  3/5.

Hadnt watched this in years and somehow my girlfriend and I ended up settling on this to watch to last night.  Had some funny moments but nowhere near as funny as I rememebered it being.

I just saw 47 Ronin. Thought it was going to be crap based on the critics review but I found it to be okay. About a 3.5 out of 5. The Japanese armor was pretty awesome looking and Keanu Reeves shows amazing depth of emotions in this movie!

Okay the last part was b.s. but fairly decent movie.

Saving Mr. Banks - Mostly enjoyable, even though you have to suffer through 110 minutes of her being an insufferable ass-wipe, the rest of the movie is so enjoyable, it mostly makes up for it.
