This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Just got back from the Milford Expressway Target with a copy of Ghost Squad for $12.46.

Took it up front to a cashier and when it didn't register in her system she took it over to the Customer Service desk and came back with the $12.46 price. Definitely going to be a huge YMMV on this one.

There was a NBA Street Homecourt (360) that scanned at $14.98 at that location too. I left that one there.
 
Mine never got Ghost Squad in, so i'll save myself the mileage.

Why the sudden focus on this, though? It's been like this for a week or so now.

Well, mine just got Ghost Squad in very recently, so I'm guessing that's the case with a lot of Targets and why this is of sudden interest.

Plus, after playing the copy I got my brother-in-law for Christmas this quickly climbed my list of buy when I see it for under $20 games.

Because it was posted on some other website and got it's own thread for a while. It's just like some of the deals from KMart/Sears/CC/etc that get their own thread for a while. Not everyone checks the clearance threads constantly.

oh, ok, cool thanks. my target (mission valley, san diego, ca) is the #13 highest volume store in the nation. it's only less than the supertargets. which is both good and bad. supply runs out quick. guess i won't be finding them at mine...
 
Found a couple of Ghost Squads at the gaithersburg target.... They show "Item not found" or whatever when I take them to the scanner, and the price on the shelf says 29.99 (no clearance sticker on the game) .... I'm guessing they would charge me 29.99 if I were to try and buy it, but I didn't try.
 
I found Meet the Robinsons for 360 and Metal Slug Anthology for Wii for $2.46 each as is at my Target. They weren't in the system anymore. Last ones as well.
Returned my MSA to C.C.
 
Just got back from Sunnyvale, CA Target. Item didnt scan so I went to the front registers. Stood in the Express lane with about 5 people in front. Took about 10 minutes. WTF???
Scan didnt take so she called Electronics. They told her $39.99. I was like "WTF?". Guy on the phone then changed to $29.99. Said no thanks and left.
There was absolutely no games on clearance there.

I got a couple of Ghost squads for $12.48 each. They came up as not in the system, but other games on the endcap display (which had a giant $29.99 sign over it) rang up as $12.48, so they gave the Ghost Squads to me for that price. I also got a copy of GRAW for the 360 at $14.98 (it was in the system at that price).

They had Ghost Squad but it showed up as out of system and they offered it to me for $29.99. Same thing happened with :ps3: Def Jam Icon.
 
I picked up Ghost Squad tonight for $12.46. It had one of those "As-Is website item" stickers, with a barcode right on the price sticker.

Another game that was out of the system (and a possible website only item) was Prince of Persia: Rival Swords for the Wii. I asked the cashier if he'd give it to me for $12.46 also but he said that was up to the pricing team so I left without it. Please note I encountered this game at 3 different Targets as "item not found."

Also, I saw The Godfather for the Wii at $24.98 at two different Targets.
 
Hit up the Target and found 5 Copies of Ghost Squad

All Scanned as "Item not found" I could not get the Employees to sell it. They also took the other 4 copies off the shelves.

This is a huge YMMV of the OMG variety.
 
I just picked up Lord of the Rings: BFME2 for $7.48 at the recently opened Super Target in Rowlett, Texas off of 66.

They had about 15-20 copies for $14.98 a week ago, and now I picked up the last one to sell to one of my friends (for just cost) so he can join the rest of our group.

There was also a lot of Tony Hawk Proving Ground for $29.98, so hopefully I can snag one of those when the price comes down.

Ghost Squad Wii was UPC NOT FOUND in their system - scored it for 50% off w/o manager approval. $14.50 because she put the original price as $29.00.

As expected, no Ghost Squad at my store, THPG has still not gone down, no more Meet The Robinsons and Ratatouille on x360, and i'm depressed because of it.

I'm never going to find Ratatouille on the 360 for cheap!
 
I went to the Target in Lemon Grove this evening with my sister and her boyfriend. He tried to pick up a copy of Ghost Squad. It rang up out of system (of course) and they absolutely refused to sell it to him. They followed this up by taking down every other copy they had on the shelves.
 
If Ghost Squad is on the end cap, take it up to guest services, you might have better luck, it wouldn't ring up at first, but she put it in the scanner gun a couple times, and it rang up for $12.46 This was in Whittier
CA.

Awesome. No worries - if I'd have known, I'd have checked out that Target. I've seen several Super Targets since I've been here, but I've only been to one (I believe it was over near Firewheel). Grabbed Ghost Squad at the Dallas Target at Haskell and I-75 for 9.98. The employee had to enter the price manually.

Friggin' sweet price. Thanks to whoever found this initially.

My issue with the two people which may be the same person posting this stuff is that any future deals may become that much harder to find with other people finding out about the deals...

CAG,SD,FW are all starting to become less sacred lol....

Officially the last posted deal I was able to get on was the DMC 3 for $9.98 at TRU but my city has always been picked pretty dry on deals....

Scorch - just rent it. I rented it for the kids and played through it myself. You can beat the game and get 1000 achievement points in about 5-8 hours tops. That is if you can stand playing through the glitches at the end :bomb:. (There's one race level where you may keep running under the carpet texture and getting stuck and then having to reset and start the whole race over again - I had to do it about 7 or 8 times before I got past that).

As for Target, I was there the other day and the clearance stuff was wiped clean. I can't believe anyone finds anything this time of year. There are too many people (kids with gift cards, etc) buying the clearance games at not-quite-CAG prices, so they never last until they are CAG-worthy.

I saw a couple of games i want but they put them in those 2-pack...Is it legal to break seprate them kinda like just buying one can of soda from a 6-pack? Had Baten Origins...Did not want X-men

Back on topic. Crystal Lake, IL is pretty picked clean of 360 stuff. I don't pay much attention to the rest of the stuff. They still had a couple of copies of TH:p for $29.98. That's it.

This thread is probably useless now. I'm going out to do some serious rounds to look for a tv and other stuff so I'll check this out while I'm out anyway.
 
Three Targets in the Atlanta area have a 37" Flat Panel LCD HDTV on clearance. Starting price 1,000, current price 800 at 20% off. 99% sure that it was a Sylvania.
 
My Target had nothing either in games. But I did find 2 packs of 24 AA energizer batteries for $1.24 each reg marked $11.99
