This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Very pleased with the price and the contents. Was told that the wrap on the box was taken off to show someone the contents of what came in the special edition. Game, bag, keychain and soundtrack all sealed.

$44.11 tag on it, I took pics with my cell phone. Sorry if the quality sucks.

I don't think anyone has reported the PS3 version being clearanced. I have only seen the 360 SE being clearanced and always check the PS3's DPCI and it always comes up at $89.99.

By the way, nice find Regian. Everyone else will just have to wait for the drop to 50% off ($44.98). Personally, I am hoping to pick it up for $22.48 (75% off). :pray:

Finally found a copy of K&L 360 but it was still at $19.98. I saw a bunch of copies of Turok 360/PS3, Warhawk and Motostorm in the "value games" section. I thought that they might have been clearanced but I guess they are all a part of the GH line. They all scanned at $29.99.
 
I am hoping Bioshock goes down to $10 next week. I have a feeling in my gut it will, but if not I am picking it up at $20 when I go back down to the target that has it on Tuesday.
 
Hey, in order for the clearance prices to show up, do the cashiers need to go farther in the process of purchasing past just scanning it? I tried my Kmart and Sears today and the prices didn't match up. I know YMMV, but it was the same games at both places. Just curious.

From experience, the price you will be charged will be the price after the first scan. So definitely YMMV in respect to Kmart & Target stores.
 
I got COD4 PC for the price of $12.46, so no $4 blow out. The bar code shows "Item Not Found" when you use the aisle scanners. Technically, they're not supposed to be on the shelves, and you need to find a chill supervisor, electronics clerk, or CSR, to get them to find the right or (outdated?) price in the system, to which they print out a new bar code and scan that. Basically, just insist that they find the price in the system, and not what's shown on the aisle.
 
Super Target out in Manassas had Dark Sector for $10. No more Condemned unfortunately :( Also had several Scene It's for $29.98 (hoping it drops next week).

There was a Scene it at my local store, but it rang up at $41.99.

Grabbed a copy of Warhawk with the Bluetooth headset for $29.99

went to my local target today, elkhart, US33, and totally freaked out. the clearance shelf was right where it used to be, but all the games were gone. all of them; ds, ps2, wii, everything. after five frantic minutes of looking the electronics girl made it back to her kiosk {who knows where they go?}. upon asking her she said all the clearance games were moved to an end cap where the computer games butt up against a large wall of dvds. heart attack averted.

lots of Kane and Lynch left, we bought the last two copies of MX vs ATV. there was also a Spiderwick Chronicles (360) for 9.98 that we both passed on. in general, over the last month or so, it seems as if all the local targets have been organizing/moving clearance shelving around. just a note that you might want to look around or ask if at first you don't succeed.
 
i forgot i saw a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, xbox 360, for 14.98. it was the last copy {a few days ago} and i didn't pick it up as i had just snagged PES 2007 for 8 bucks on clearance at toys'r'us

i did get 2 condemeds for 10 today. i am sure most already know this but at the top of their clearance sticker is a number. it will either be a 30 50 or a 75. this is nice to know for futher drops. also the girl said 75 is as low as they go

not finding any condemneds....did see kane & lynch (360) = 9.98, the club (360) = 12.48, GRID (360) = 29.98, Frontlines: Fuel of War = 41.98, and GTAiV Special Edition = 44.98. if i wasn't saving money i would have bought GTAIV and kane & lynch. oh, this was at duluth, mn.

Okay, I've discovered the obvious disadvantage of living in a "major" city. I've lived here a little over a year, and Charlotte, NC is nothing like Greenville, SC. There's other gamers in this city, and they grabbie the good stuff before I typically do. I'm not used to moving quickly on stuff I like. Saw the 20GB hard drive shelf tag at Target tonight, but that sucker would've gone fast, what with the enormous "I'm clearance, booyah!" label on that tag. None in stock.

It is ALWAYS a YMMV for Target clearance. Don't let anyone tell you different.

The games in one area may be on clearance today, and the same games in another area may not go on clearance until much later.

These prices aren't universal. At your location, the games simply haven't been marked down yet.

They will eventually though.

Just kidding... Though maybe that's why I never find anything good there any more. I had sort of given up on target recently as it seems I get beat to stuff that used to sit around for a lot longer before.

I was there late Fri night and didn't see much of anything worthwhile... (I mean, I think I saw those same things but $41.98 barely registers with me).

However, I was totally floored today to find Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates for $9.98 at another Target. I didn't even know it was a clearance game! I glance at this thread every so often but I hadn't seen it mentioned, and was very shocked to see it hit 75% off without being snagged. And yeah, I even got an extra copy (because I'm still trying to find FF XII RW). I also picked up Scene It for $29.98. I really want to wait for 75% on that but this Target was pretty far so I'll take my chances with the return/repurchase at a closer store which I've been somewhat successful with in the past. The closer store doesn't have it at all at this point.

Well I work at Xerox right next to it and I stop by every Friday and Monday since that's when they supposedly do markdowns. However, I definitely do not hoard the games. I bought a copy of Condemned 2 (360) today and it had been there for a good couple weeks. I figured if nobody was gonna buy it for $9.98 after 2 weeks, it was fair game for me. Same went for NiGHTs. Ninja Gaiden on the other hand was a lucky find. And if they had 5+ copies, I would buy 1, maybe 2. I'm just trying to trade them for games I'm looking for, never trying to turn a profit (since profit isn't much anyways). It's one thing I can get in on since I never get in on CC clearences.

Actually, I had been looking for Nights, but it is funny how these things work out because while I couldn't seem to find it at Target once it hit $12.48 (or $7.48? I forget), I was able to buy one at Kmart today for $5, so I'm happy.

But that Target is always really late with the drops, so I'm surprised Condemned 2 was actually $9.98 now. I think I had seen it before but it was $19.98+. Just curious - how long have you been working near there? I don't live that close so I'm only there once every week or two. I actually hadn't been there in 3 weeks or so before tonight which was an anomoly - I've just been very busy with the kids and their after school activities and haven't been able to do much game shopping recently. It makes finding stuff at Target pretty difficult because I can't check that often and all it takes is a couple of people to wipe them out (even if they only buy stuff for themselves!).

Found and bought last Microsoft wireless 360 gaming receiver for $9.98. Not sure what I'm going to use it for or why I bought it...I guess this means I can use my 360's controller to play games now? Is that right?

Crystal Chronicles seems to be one of the hardest Target clearance games to find. Still looking myself. I did find a copy of Revenant Wings on an endcap a few months ago and was similarly shocked (although I got it for $19.98, not $9.98). Wife stumbled across a cache of Tactics A2 last night, but they had not been marked down yet (she had them scanned). Frustrating.
