This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

They took the clearance tags off of Nights (Wii) at my Target, but the game still range in on clearance at $14.98, which doesn't really match the markdown pattern. The game should be $12.48 at 75% off. Last week it had been $24.98 or 50% off the original price. I think what happened is that the game has dropped to $29.99 retail now instead of $49.99 and they re-applied the 50% off, which would explain why it is now $14.98? At least that would make some sense.

Well once something goes on clearance im not sure but I would assume they do not care if the nationwide new price goes down because one of my stores has a copy of Lost Odyssey on clearance for $41.98 when the national new price is $39.99.. and for them missing the clearance tag I would not put that past someone to remove them in hopes that they get looked over and drop more in price.

It really seems like your Target won't' be apathetic to your case. Each Target may have a different price since there have been people who purchased the game for as low as $3.96.

It all boils down to the supervisor/CSR, if they choose to go with the retail price or the discounted price listed after they make some type of search in their system.

Yeah, the 49.99 is just the price from the aisle tag. Maybe the discounted prices are just being arbitrarily set by the supervisors/csrs since they can't find a true price in the system?

I was really surprised to find these cards for this cheap on clearance and I am going to search around at some other local targets to see if I can find some more.

i was at a Target today with at least 3 copies of GTA4 SE for ps3 and no clearance tags to be seen. They had a couple 360 versions as well that did have clearance tags, so I think its just 360 for now.

Yeah I was the one who mentioned this earlier but I found 3 in the clearance section for 7.45. I wish they would have had more because I would have snatched them up. I went to a few others and haven't had any luck.
