They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

So new copies of Star Ocean Second Story R for Switch/PS5 are $29.99, but the PS4 version doesn't show a "new" price as existing at all sale or not. Wonder what it would actually ring up as then, would it just be converted to preowned?

New on ps4 is very likely also 29.99 in-store. The website just sucks.
 
I renewed for $14.84 during the special last week but don’t see the $5 coupon in my account (or any coupon for that matter) in my active offers. Anyone know a workaround or way to fix it?

That seems like a bad idea for at least 2 reasons: 1) theft and 2) damage from weather/environment.

So you had an inactive pro until the renewal? Then you won’t get a coupon until August.
 
Thanks OP about checking the coupon. Last day of Pro for me and I have a 25% used game one show up. Anyone know if the coupon can be combined with PUR points at checkout (only have 7k to clear)?
 
So I ordered a couple games early this morning. Made another order for a single game about an hour ago - but it was cancelled about 35 mins later 'due to a system decline while processing your payment information.' I used the same payment method and address for both orders and the 1st order has already shipped out, so not sure why I got that cancellation for the 2nd order. And I can't reorder since the game has gone out of stock. Anyone else have this happen to them?

The answer I got was both the coupon and points cannot be redeemed in the same transaction. Cashed in the $7 in points for a blind One Piece keychain (?) and got Luffy. So not bad for points that were expiring with my membership ending today.
 
Quick question....I've been here on the boards for a while. I have three pro accounts...two got perma-banned from trade ins (no idea why unless jr detective got me). Well...I just got two 30% bonus trade in coupons on those accounts. Are the rewards coupon codes attached to our accounts? The codes have different codes(Skus) to them. Just curious if anyone has ever tried it...using codes from one account with another. If I wasn't down to my last trading account I wouldn't care (I've got a decent trade in amount I wanna do next couple days). Thanks in advance

I think they're tied to your account because when I used my 25% off one used game coupon yesterday, they just applied it from my account.

Yeah, it’s tied to your account. I did a trade in on Monday and coupons showed up on the pin pad.
I would not try and use a code from another account.
 
Has anyone here ever made a preorder mixed with games that ship immediately? This preorder is for September. If the games ship and I change my mind on the preorder while it's still in preorder status, will the order let me cancel the preorder? Or does it become locked because other tems in the order shipped?

Pre orders don't help with the shipping threshold so there really isn't a benefit to having it in the same transaction. I wouldn't over complicate the order personally.
 
Wanted to update on the pre paid master card I got from gamestop for trading in my series x during cash same as credit.

Tried to buy a gift card today online and the transaction was declined. I went to the website on the back and there's no way to set up a billing address or anything to be associated with it so I think that's why it's being declined. On the website I was able to find ATMs in the area that do not charge their own withdrawal fee, so went to get the cash out, unfortunately was only able to take it out in increments of $20, so still have $16 on the card. Apparently there is a $2.50 fee for any ATM withdrawal through the card so only have $13.50 now. I guess I'll go get cash back somewhere for the rest. All in all a pretty irritating process as is typical with gamestop.
 
I don't think prepaid gift cards can be used to buy gift cards since it already itself is a gift card and/or could be some money laundering thing. Did you try to buy something physical? I know prepaid cards can't be used for setting up recurring subscriptions like Gamefly.

Yeah it says debit card on it and I thought it would be treated that way being "same as cash" as it was advertised. Tried to buy and e gift card during the prime deal this morning. Ultimately glad to have cash and be done with it.
 
It appears that call of duty modern warfare 3 is on sale for $30 new but only for PlayStation 5. I let my PS plus lapse, so of course only the ps5 version goes on sale.

Confirm, works in store. PUR monthly and PUR points themselves are definitely not allowed anymore (per repeated attempts to use them in store the last month or two 😆).

Wait...how can you have THREE Pro accounts let alone dedicate two for trade-ins? Thought when you're banned once, you're banned for life from ever trading again since they have your ID/DL and thumbprint in the system?

What? This must just be your state. I have never shown an ID for trades, nevermind a fingerprint.

If you didnt try, I would try to add it to your Amazon account saved payments first. Or even better, use it to buy Amazon credit at least. I know in the past I have been able to use generic Mastercard giftcards from surveys (like MyPoints) with Amazon.

Yeah I tried that and it was declined. I'll try and get Amazon credit with the remaining $13.50 and see if that works.
 
There hasn't been any GS cashback offers from any sites right for a while now right? Sucks, because I've been spending a more than I thought there...
