Yeah, I've actually bought 3 copies of the game from various BBV and all of them have been mint and complete. Guess no one is renting Metal Slug for the Wii.

That's good. I was in BBV last night and traded in Luxor, Bust a Move, and Sea Monsters. I was on a weird angle at the counter and could see the screen and I noticed one of the titles was $24.99 used but I couldn't see which one it was. I think it might have been Sea Monsters because the price hadn't changed on the Bust a Move or Luxor I had traded in at another Blockbuster the day before. They would've tagged it either Sunday night or Monday. Hell, it might just be an oversight like Cranium Kabooki (fingers crossed it's still flippable). I traded in 10 games to GS all went evenly or for a bit a profit. I'll list them later today with my trade ins to BBV.

Side note. I know where I'm going to trade in questionable discs now. I had a copy of Meet the Robinsons that looked like it was assaulted by steel wool and the manager just asks "does it play?" to which I replied "yep" and avoided any refurb fees whatsoever.
 
Technically it should be safe and they should not be able to charge you anymore. After all, the card is invalid. Regardless of having the same number, the change of expiration date makes it a different one.

I mean like the others I have heard that they do keep charging you, but it should not happen with the card that is saved. You probably should still make sure and just contact them to get the information out in any case.

LOL. I just traded in those games I listed above that I called about. I rented Pure and Lego Batman (with store credit and a R1G1 coupon from my coke rewards) while there and the clerk said "wow, this is the first time I've actually seen you rent something."

Has anyone ever visited a blockbuster so disorganized that it disgusted you? I walked into a new Blockbuster today and couldn't find shit. I started looking for the video games and I had to walk around the entire store to get in. Not only that, but I barely got into the damn store. Both doors had signs that said Exit. It confused the hell out of me. Where the hell was the entrance?

Once I figure out that one of the doors is the entrance, I walk in and go on my way to looking for the video games. I find them and what do I see? Sega Rally Revo tagged at $44.99. This BBV is really behind man. I would have bought that, but I didn't feel like taking off the sticker. I can't imagine how long it has been on there or how long it'll take me to take off.

Why the hell do people quote huge pictures? What a stupid thing to do. And the coupon says "only valid on stores listed in flyer." If you're not from his area, it won't work.

That's an ad scan for a regional promo. The one here in GA was printed as an attack on Play N Trade. The entire flyer was neat. 50% extra trade in, extra $30 when you trade in a system, and 10% off any new game.

I did the 50% and asked the guy if edge stacked. He said every time he tried, it would override the regional promo. So I just took the 50% and was happy with it.

They're feeding you some bullshit. When the ad was active in my region, GS ALWAYS stacked the EDGE and the 50% automatically. Try handing them you're EDGE card first (and waiting for it to ring up) and then ask them to add the 50% afterward. It does not matter which order you present the discount, but remember that the EDGE card is not a coupon or offer; it's a subscription you paid for (including the discount).
 
I did a bunch of flipping today. Nothing major to report except two things:

1) The Pokemon games are now down to 15 like a previous poster said. With my BB discount and then the 30% plus edge I nudged out slightly ahead but most people wont without the BB discount. It's still probably close enough to 1:1 to make it worth it though.

2) Got a used EOJ at GS that had camera, cards, mat, stand, etc. Its sweet to flip that back to bb with the big profit and then still have all the extras left over that sell quite well themselves!

I'm starting to clog my store with Bust a Moves though. Perhaps I should open a trade account at our nearby store too. I just prefer the hassle free environment of doing it in my own store.

------For the guy that keeps asking about the NG2 used markdown. I'd expect it to come this weekend with it going official on Monday. It's not that certain. We don't actually know until we get the corporate emails late on Friday nights. BB is notorious for missing things like that so it may even take longer.
 
Picked up a copy of Nights today with intentions of flipping to Gamestop.

The store I went to had converted a TON of rentals this morning. :360: Stranglehold was amongst the converted I saw, marked at $9.99. If the $5 reported TIV is correct for GS, that makes it just about even for those looking for another option to swap credit between stores.

The Pokemon games get $21 with the cellfire coupon + Edge now. Even if you don't pay tax its still a loss of $4 at the least with tax its a loss of over $5. Employee discount is 20% ? I guess if you get that and don't pay tax its alright.

TIV for Stranglehold is $4 so $9.40 after bonus plus EDGE, not quite an even swap.

gamestop by my house had a b2g1 this past week, new store opening sale i assume. i picked up all the ones above along with viking, and condemned 2. didn't have a chance to trade them in over the weekend so i'll be getting less than expected cause of the looney tunes and condemned drops.

Does anyone know how long the return window is for an opened 360?

I bought an Elite last week, and Microsoft is telling me the 1 year warranty expires in May 2009, when it should be September 2009. Apparently this console had previously been registered, and the Microsoft rep kept saying I probably have a used system and I could return it "if I want". Yeah, $400 and I don't mind if someone's used it for 4 months.

That's odd. I had it scan $14.99 on Monday, but it was at a weird store that had lots of $9.99 games marked at $14.99.

Does anyone know why one of my BBVs just lost all of it's used games? Back during the perfect storm, that BBV had tons of games. I bought a lot there actually. Around 50 or so. Today I went in and all the 360/Wii used games disappeared. There were none on the shelves. No idea why.

I saw that they had some bins in the front, but there were barely any games in them. They were all PS2/GC games. I saw very few 360 games. Any ideas what the hell happened? I'm now down to one BBV to use from flipping BBV->GS. And that last BBV is running really low on flips. I think I'm going to have to resort to those flips that make you lose money like Stranglehold >_

That sucks! Before I came into work, I stopped over to BBGR and bought Time and Darkness ( 2 copies each ). $15 only?! and where's everyone getting this 50% trade coupon?

And since you are manager now. Any idea why some BBV's have $9.99 games marked as $14.99 and ring up as $14.99? Only one BBV does this to be and I have no idea why. They are a corporate store and all the other corporate stores have the right prices except this one.

Wow, I'm late on the posts. I was catching up and replied before checking an answer. Let me throw this question in and ignore the others:

BB have a return policy for sealed games? I want a refund :( or credit.
