Yeah, it just collects the info from http://www.howlongtobeat.com/ so the info isn't his fault. The guy said he is going to make an option to remove purely multiplayer only titles and remove whatever title you want as well. Like I said, not perfect, but it is fun to see. Sure it may be off a fair % but it still gives you a ballpark.
Yeah it's pretty cool. Definitely keeping my eye on that. If it gets improved quite a bit I'll probably put a link to it in Enhanced Steam. :)

Is there a way to buy the Killing Floor bundle and gift the game to someone else, but keep the DLC? I already have the game, but it'd still be cheaper to buy the bundle than the DLC separately.

is steam not doing weeklong deals anymore? I noticed they didn't have any last week and again this week,
They had a couple running during the week last week, but didn't really talk about them. It definitely wasn't the usual weeklong assortment.

This week, presumably, they are not running weeklong sales because the Steam Summer Sale is starting on Thursday.

My percentage is the definition of backlog...

EarthBoundX5's Steam library would take approx. 7478.74 hours to complete. That's 311.61 days!
Games 641
Hours to beat main stories 7478.74
Hours for completion 10674.15
Hours played 276.00
% of main stories 3.69%
% of total completion 2.59%
Worth $6344.00

EDIT: Note, I've been on Steam since the first month of release...so ya, my hours played is pretty inaccurate...

I wish there were weeklong deals.  Then we could all speculate which of them will be double-discounted for thirty minutes when the sale starts.  91% off or bust!

First of all, please don't scare me like that.

What happened?

I wouldn't worry about ER bills. Shit, how many millions of people use an ER as their primary-care provider? I haven't read about anyone whose legs were broken by male-nurse goons collecting protection-money. USA

This seems rather inaccurate...

Picked up GRID from the GMG sale, and for a 5 year old game it's aged quite well... at least once I set it to run in XP compatibility mode and it stopped instantly crashing out.  I have to say though, I don't think I've played any racing game where the AI racers are such unrelenting dicks.  It's nice that they aren't robots that stick unyieldingly to a single line regardless of what you do and never deviating or crashing, but my god I've only played 3 races and restarted those races like 50 times each because of their various douche moves or their crashing in a cloud of dust just ahead of me which I plow into and end of race (also the fact that I suck probably doesn't help).  I suppose I could just use the rewind feature but for some reason I feel like rewinding is more of a Forza thing and haven't availed myself of the feature here at all.

Still for all the frustration it's certainly entertaining, and quite satisfying when you finally break out of the pack and then get to focus on just not screwing up long enough to avoid getting sucked back into the car thresher that is the pack of AI opponents chasing after you.  Just kind of depressing that apparently the reviews for GRID 2 aren't nearly as positive, would've liked this to be a primer for when that got cheap.

6800 hours for me (111,111 completionist) 283 days... I'm pretty sure at least two thirds of my indie games won't grab me enough to bother beating.

...but I have have to say it really highlights what crap numbers howlongtobeat has

My three highest are:

Spellforce Platinum: 340/340

Medieval II: TW 252/no-data

F1 2012 231/100

really?!? I don't think so

My shumps mostly rank in 0.5 hours to 3 hours to beat... including dojin shumps.. only going to happen in that time after you've sunk a lot of practise in them.

Yeah, confirms my past feelings, howlongtobeat numbers are oddly short...

Sonic Racing All Stars Transformed - 5 hours

Hitman Absolution - 12.5 hours ... only if you play it like an FPS... I bet those people never got Silent Assassin rating on a single level (glares at unnamed steam friend)

Mass Effect: 16.5

I really didn't expect to see Dustforce at 38.5

Rope+Horseshoe I used to get the middle piece off the barn roof. I looked it up and apparently there was a bottle of fuel from a hole near the cow, which made the tree grow so you could tickle the farmer awake.

I just rang the doorbell about twenty times and the piece I needed fell.
aah, other method... I prefer the more comical way

I'm surprised no one has commented on the reference ET on the 2600.. I know there are other CAGs that should know that one.

Speaking of, someone posted a link to a page with a bunch of active BL2 codes a while ago. Can some kind soul repost or point to that post for me?

They had a couple running during the week last week, but didn't really talk about them. It definitely wasn't the usual weeklong assortment.

This week, presumably, they are not running weeklong sales because the Steam Summer Sale is starting on Thursday.
Well, they canceled the weekly for the summer sale, but then thinking ahead to all the CAG whining they canceled the summer sale but forgot to reinstate the weeklys.

Oh man, it's one of those "post your backlog/haul" days where the thread is full of numbers that nobody actually cares about but feels obliged to join in, presumably to validate their own flippant spending.

And yet none of you would want to hear a joke about venison. Disappointing. World's gone mad.

Cool site.

Games 117

Hours to beat main stories 1290.74

Hours for completion 3484.78

Hours played 1379.40

% of main stories 106.87%

% of total completion 39.58%

Worth $1790.00

I've played 106% of the main stories? Doesn't make sense.

1379.4(hours played)/1290.74(hours for completion) = 1.06868 = 106.87%

Not the most sophisticated algorithm on the part of the site...

Seems like you could do it on a game by game basis where the game leaves the equation once it reaches the time on average that it takes for main story completion, but I guess that would take a little more work.

Speaking of, someone posted a link to a page with a bunch of active BL2 codes a while ago. Can some kind soul repost or point to that post for me?
I would like to direct BL2's players to the following Android app (I have no involvement in it, I just use it): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xibergy.bl2&hl=en

It's nifty. It typically gets updated within two hours (before or after) of the internet catching wind of them. I have yet to stumble across a code it doesn't get updated with in the two or so months I've used it, and the "Hide key after use" option is probably my favorite feature. I set the notification ringtone to a handgun cocking; seemed appropriate. First time my fiance heard it she jumped out of bed in a panic, and I couldn't stop laughing.

Boo. I missed GMG's sale encor because I got admittes to the hospital around the time it started. Today I had surgery at like 5. I feel fracking awful. Hoping for news of a summer sale to cheer me up before the no-insurance bill drives me to suicide. Come on Gaben, don't fail me now.
Sorry to hear that; I hope you get better soon. On the plus side, GMG's servers were in no way, shape or form up to the task of handling a few of the better deals they had on offer, so you avoided carpal tunnel from hitting F5.

That does look pretty good; loading it on the Nexus now. :applause:

Grabbed the Skyrim DLC from the Nuveem sale.  All the DLC comes to about $20.50 USD, which isn't 75% but I am highly doubtful it'll hit even 66% this Steam Sale.

I had no issues buying from the US and using paypal.  Other than Chrome having an issue with checkout, worked fine in FF and IE.  Notables shamelessly ripped from u/marcapasso on Reddit.

I've been on the fence about this since the sale was launched. I've had all Skyrim DLC on my wishlist since release. I'm very tempted... but, then again, maybe, just maybe it will hit 75% off by the time I have a decent enough computer to actually run the damn game.

Yeah, I don't believe the major Steam sales have ever started on a not Thursday.

Interesting way of alluding to the other six days.

This device could be used to perpetuate the extreme streamlining of English in the United States.

I have full confidence that this won't be the case in any areas not inside the U.S.

Jeez, is Spellforce Platinum really that long?

Also my 7% completion rate is probably hilariously inflated by my 900 hours in TF2.

If you've read today's edition of The Quibbler you'd know that:

- hinkypunks have been spotted in Abercrombie stores;
- the floo network is unavailable for 24 hours due to industrial action;
- there will be no Summer Sale today.

... which is interesting as I read my tea leaves earlier and they confirmed the sale would start. Or a vegan apocalypse (the symbols were open to interpretation).

Weird. Somebody explain this "booster pack" thing to me again: I just got one in my inventory for TF2, which I haven't played in about 4-6 weeks. Worth keeping, selling?

I don't know if this is part of the NFS midweek sale, but the Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box is also on sale at 70% off for $5.99.  Lowest price was $4.98 on Amazon but I believe that was for Origin.  Is this worth it?  It's been on my wish list for a while, but I was disappointed in the new NFS Most Wanted (on Vita) and sold it back.  I didn't really like the method of "finding" cars to unlock them individually.
