Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

New Indie Royale in 10 minutes!

"Thanks, Flow!"

"No worries, Flow!"

...

I'd incorporate other people into the above mini-play but we all know nobody else is actually bothered at this point.

:whee:

you can preorder the steelbook of DS2 from amazon uk for pretty cheap right now. cheaper than preordering the digital version even with international shipping.

FWIW I also found Dragon's Dogma (yes every once in a while I sneak off and hide amongst the peasants) to be very Skyrim-esque in my opinion.
Ive been meaning to play this. Mad I missed out on it for free with PS+ while PS plus cards were on sale.. Problem why I already don't have PS+ is I have the release day PS3. Its only 60 gigs, and I cant really DL many full games with all my game/save data *sigh.

PC Port would be nice.

Yes I'd really like a PC port of Dragon's Dogma as well.

I kept hoping for one, but when I bought a PS3 for Ni no Kuni anyway and the Dragon's Dogma expansion (with the original built in) came and I found a good price for it I just caved. It's a decent game, worth it I think if you like Skyrim/sandbox type of games.

I used a great controller mod for Skyrim that allowed  you to quickselect a ton of different items by using L1 as a modifier. You could assign a weapon or power to any button and then just hold down L1 and hit that button to equip it. Worked great. I played 300 hours of Skyrim with that setup.

So is Neighbours From Hell worth $2.50 in GabenBux?

I forgot I added it to my Steam cart as a potential purchase and need to make a decision before noon.  Wait.  No I don't as it is a weekly deal.  Still interested in CAG opinions though.

I've just pre-ordered this. I don't even know why. I suspect it's to draw Fox's ire.

Somebody remind me to cancel in a month's time please.

NB - shouldn't the steel case edition be more expensive than the standard edition?
I don't think so. I preordered both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls on PS3 and they each came with "free" deluxe edition upgrades too. Just note that the only reason to buy from Amazon UK in this case is that Amazon US doesn't have a listing for the Armored Edition on PC.

Also, even if it is a price mistake, Amazon will still honor it. Pretty tempting, I gotta say.

This one? I was surprised that the D-pad doesn't seem to be used in the default mapping. (I'm a noob, I might be missing something... fav weap/spell swapping?)

It was $1 in the HB. y u do dis
It was in the $1 but it was still on Greenlight at the time and had not gotten in. I also owned everything else in that bundle but I bought in at the $1 level anyway to get Neighbors from Hell specifically. I knew the Humble Bundle effect would make it rocket up to the top of Greenlight voted list and it did.

Yeah, pretty much anything in a HB will get greenlit. That's the same reason I bought it.

I have it DRM Free from Shinyloot.

I've played a few levels of it and it's okay.  It's just a puzzle game where you have to sneak around and set traps/items to annoy/irritate your neighbors.  The game play is sort of slow and overall its nothing I would tell people they have to play.

Fox =/= Squirrel

Confirmed!

Except that I already play it with a controller anyway and at times I've played it on my living room TV set via a long HDMI cable so functionally I play it like a console anyway, just with a shit ton of mods.
Yep, sounds like you do. I don't play a lot of stuff with a controller (partly because it can be tricky configuring things to behave with a Logitech if the game doesn't recognize it and partly because I'm mostly set in my KB+M ways) and I'm terrible at FPS games (can't aim worth a toffee-headed damn) on PS3 which is why I almost always play them on my computer.

Morrowind and it's inventory system are clearly more oriented for a keyboard and mouse but I feel like from Oblivion on and even more so for Skyrim they've designed with the Xbox 360 in mind.

Not really looking to start up the tired kb&m vs controller argument again, but I also think it's kind of hard to argue that the last couple of ES games weren't consolized to some degree, especially when compared to the earlier ones.
Definitely. The Skyrim interface in particular really seems jiggered especially toward console users.

I haven't played that one yet, but I think I played the demo a while ago and it didn't "grab" me. If I upgrade my crap 120Gb HDD in the PS3 sometime soon (as I'm considering doing), I'll probably download a metric crapton of backlogged Plus stuff. Of course I think my Plus runs out about the same time GfWL shuts down. Hm.

New Indie Royale in 10 minutes!
Thanks, Flow! I wish I'd seen your post a bit earlier but I got in for $4.72 and it's a pretty good Royale (except for @#$! Bleed). I'd actually been considering picking up Unearthed Part 1 from Shinyloot this week at a paltry 20% discount but this bundle suits my CAGiness much better.

I played both games years ago and really enjoyed them. There were rumors of a Neighbours From Hell 3 and I was quite disappointed to learn they were baseless.

As Fox said, the gameplay is puzzles. To me it felt a lot like an adventure game that was all puzzles. The puzzles were of the sort you'd expect in an adventure game.

Neighbors from Hell is an okay puzzler. I find it closer to something like... Hitman combined with Domino Rally.

You basically go from point A to point B, setting up traps and leading on your Neighbor so he falls into the next trap and gets so pissed off he loses his mind.

It's a funny game, but very European. I'd definitely grab it in a bundle, I don't think it's really worth $2.50. I only have it because I got it in a bundle at GOG a while back.

I grabbed the Indie Royale bundle, the first one in a long while. I wanted Unearthed for that "so bad it's good" factor anyway, the rest of the games are a bonus. Except Bleed. :p

That has to be a the weirdest combo I've ever heard of.

Steam friended you. I am expecting a review now. ;)

Neighbors from Hell is a weird game.

As for the review... it might be a little bit different because everyone keeps comparing the game to Uncharted. Well, I've never played the series (I don't even own a PS3) so my review will be as unbiased as possible. :p

Well, once I get to the game.

I had everything else in that bundle/wasn't interested and I think NFH was in the BTA tier so the purchase wasn't worth it to me at the time. That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.
I was in the same situation but I bought the bundle just for Neighbours from Hell. I used to have the game on CD many years ago and I quite like the game so having a digital copy for $1 was no-brainer for me.

Nice OST, you can get the full album here if you want to support the artist.

It's this one, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1098/? and I did some tweaking to it, which based on my comments on that thread I changed sprint to L1/LB and I put the character menu on Select/Back.

I haven't played in 3 years, so there could be something better.

i am liking risk of rain so much that i'll give the copy in my inventory to the 1st person who PMs me

caveat: we might have to play some coop
Great game !

My first time playing it, took me 4 hours to complete because my boyfriend kept transporting us backwards instead of forward.. wasted so much time there :( AND THEN when we finally got to the final stage, took forever to complete because I single handedly had 40 drones. The lag was too good haha

How are you guys finding out about these? I'm signed up for both the AMD and Alienware twitter accounts with mobile notifications enabled and I'm not seeing anything.
@AMDRadeon is the account that's tweeting the announcements. And the giveaway actually happened within 5 minutes of the tweet this time.

I got a tweet from @AMDRadeon that said they were going up in five minutes. I saw the tweet four minutes after it hit my inbox. I very quickly logged into Alienware and ended up having enough time.

edit: After the last batch I followed both @AMDRadeon and @AMDGaming as it wasn't clear which I should be following.
