This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

On the one hand I don't have Drakensang:TROT, so my inner collector says "go for it"...

On the other hand I'm unlikely to play Drakensang:TROT in the next five years, so my inner-inner common-sense self says "so what's the point"...

I think I'll put them both in a locked room with no doors and let them duke it out.
who won? or the match hasnt start?

That was the one that caught my eye... but I have Drakensang Complete on DVD (drm-free) from before it got on steam.

Eh, you guys are all brainwashed. Believe whatever you want to believe, reality TV-watching peons.

My dear CAGs,

About a year ago I became an active member of this community. Initially I was just selling bundle leftovers in the trade thread, but the Steam thread soon sucked me in, with its cast of colorful characters. I started posting, slowly, tentatively, first in this thread, and then others as I succumbed to bundle madness and full-blown CAG addiction. My backlog increased by the hundreds. In recent months I have come to appreciate and truly value the unique community we have on this site, and I feel the time has come for me to give something back.

Rules: I will do two giveaways spread across multiple posts. The first giveaway is for Steam thread regulars only (and LN3000 if he happens to see this – why he never posts in this thread, I have no idea). You must be a regular contributor and known to me (although we don't have to have conversed, so don't worry about that) to receive one of these games. Quote this post and PM me with your choice of game. Only one game per person for now. I’m splitting this up into multiple posts done at different times so more people have a chance to get one.

Drakensang: The River of Time

Spectromancer+DLC

Quantum Conundrum+DLC

Pinball FX2 Star Wars Balance of the Force Pack (Steam gift)

Metro 2033, Risen, Sacred Citadel (single key) - to glennfrank

Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box (Steam or Origin, your preference) - to InmateofArkham

Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY

I will give away a bunch of bundle fodder for the lurkers later. Okay, that’s it for now, send me your PMs!
I would love to grab Drakensang, I think I'll let it go to someone else.

Thank you for the giveaway.

If Quantum Conundrum is available I would appreciate it sir, if I'm worthy.

Does anyone have any recommendation, positive or negative, for Sang Froid it looks interesting but if the gameplay is bad I don't want to waste my Gabenbucks.

Not sure if I count, but I wouldn't mind the Pinball FX2 Star Wars pack if it's going.

If not, thanks for offering the games away anyway! :D

Spectromancer, please, if you still have it. Somehow I'm missing it from my account. Thanks for the giveaway, Cyrus!

Sure thing. Send me your email or add me on Steam so I can gift it to you.

Spectromancer, please, if you still have it. Somehow I'm missing it from my account. Thanks for the giveaway, Cyrus!
You're very welcome! All games gone now except Batman: AA. I know everyone already has it from the WB bundle, but it's one of my favorite games, so I hope it goes to a good home. I'm off to the gym now, so I'll reply to any other PMs when I get back. There will be another giveaway tonight after I get home from work.

Hey guys, no offense - you both seem like nice people - but considering you both joined this month I'd like to wait a bit longer to give some of the regulars more of a chance. If no one else claims these games in a couple hours then of course you will be welcome to them. If they are claimed, I will reserve you each a spot in the second giveaway. Sound good?
Sure, no problem ;)

Since cyrus was gracious enough to give me the Drakensang key, and my momma always said "life is like a box of chocolates"...er...wait she always said "You'll never amount to nothin"...or maybe it was "get a key, give a key".  Anyway, on that last note, the person who PM's me that I deem most excellent and worthy I will humble gift bestow upon them the most holiest of holies: an ARMA II steam humble gift/key/thingy-ding (oooh, ahhhhh).

Operators are standing by....

WEEK LONG DEALS

4. Lords of Football (50% off) at $7.49
Anyone considering Lords of Football I'd hold off for a bit. It's on the Amazon EC list and some of us are trying to see if we can get a price match.

Even if you don't have EC credits it's the end of the month and there's probably multiple people with plenty of extras left that might be willing to assist.

Of course we need to actually get the PM first...

Should it be PM on Amazon, I'm wondering if the game is worth $2.50 (with EC coupon). Been browsing reviews of this game and generally the consensus is that its a mediocre to bad soccer (or "football") sim in terms of gameplay and graphics. Still have 2 EC coupons left and unsure what I should use them on. At best, Lords of Football seems to be a backlog fodder or a Football Manager Knockoff?

its been 3.49 (or 4.99?) last week in indiegala store. But your right, if Amazon PM it, it will an all time low considering the EC.

Already been bundled multiple times. The trade thread should be full of cheap keys.
heh I know, I was kidding. Anyone that bought Valley Without Wind 1 or 2 outside of a bundle has probably taken their own life in despair.

On a serious note, Spaceforce Rogue Universe looks kinda aight

Ha, usually nothing gets past my sarcasm detector. But hey, there's been an influx of people excitedly considering buying bundle repeats lately. And, it was far less obvious before you added Gravity Badgers to the list.

Wow, those are cheap but I'm suspicious that means they might be bundled soon =P
I have an extra AVWW 1 & 2 key from the Indie Gala Limited 1 bundle if you want it.

Edited: Oops. Just saw your "I'm kidding" post so never mind.

Awesome generosity cyrus386.

I was thinking about this the other day, as it's been about a year since I've been truly-active on CAG as well. I'm more of a consumer of information than a participatory patron of message boards, but for whatever reason CAG feels like home. I've loved the varying opinions on Steam games, bundles, information on patches/fixes, general discussions and sarcasm/humor. It's quite relevant to say the community has been instrumental in helping me not only hold out on buying games cheaper, but amassing a backlog that anyone with a few lifetimes to spend gaming would be filled with rapturous delight.

So thanks fellow CAGs! :grouphug:

Send me a PM if you've got a case of the Mondays and/or would just like one of these Steam games below:

-Sanctum: Collection

-Postmortem: One Must Die

-Overlord and Overlord Raising Hell

-Thief Deadly Shadows

-Papo & Yo

-Driftmoon

-Closure

-Little Inferno

re: Lords of Football

Tony has said in the Amazon thread he will be doing PMs soon.

Wow, this game looks just like MicroBot, a game which EA hasn't ported over to Steam yet. $1.25 and it comes with the soundtrack, might end up buying it. More exploratory and less pewpew!
It has cards too FYI. At that price plus cards seemed like a no brainer to me.

Coupons are usually disabled during sales.
AFAIK all the coupons you get from crafting badges cannot be combined with sales. I have never come across one so far that could.

Now other coupons that get added to inventory or through a code or what not sometimes, but rarely, will let you combine with a discount.

Just out of curiosity... Would a 90% of coupon still work with a weekly sale...? I only ask as I bought Zombie Driver HD last night.
Most coupons do not work when a game is on sale with the exception of a few, one that I could think of is the 75% off Lunar Flight coupon that can be stacked when the game was on sale thus giving it a 93% off discount.

At best, Lords of Football seems to be a backlog fodder or a Football Manager Knockoff?
I have not played Lords of Football nor Football Manager, nor am I even a fan of football. That said, my friend has and is. Per him, "I think even a rocket scientist would find Football Manager difficult." Where as Lords of Football, while being somewhat crappy, was more "The Sims meets Soccer Sim for Dummies."

No one on my Steam friends list owns Master Reboot but plenty of people want it. I've watched Carlmundo play it and it does look somewhat entertaining in that odd exploration action puzzle sci-fi memory mold. $7.49 still seems too steep though. The publisher/developer, Wales Interactive, also made Gravity Badgers which has been bundled twice within the past week (IG January and The Flying Bundle 5). Hmm...

It also seems like these Steam Weeklong Deals have either been bundled already or will be in a not-too-distant future bundle judging from past weeklong deals. I guess that's not saying much since everything will eventually get bundled, but you most likely know what I mean.

It seems that the 20% off coupon for Velocity Ultra is working additional with the current sale. I'm not interested in the game and I have 2 coupons for those who is interested.

I'm sure everyone has this game by now since it's been bundled, but if not it's worth a look.

I like driving and I like shooting. I also like zombies. As it turns out, I like driving and shooting at zombies! So this was just right for me.
You're from LA? ;)
