This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Marlow for $1? Wasn't that one of the unexpected Amazon EC sales last month? I skipped it if it was so maybe I will pick it up here.
I absolutely recommend Marlow. It's great cheesy fun (very self aware). Honestly I might not have given it a second glance had I first seen it in this no-name bundle.

I already have Marlow and it is indeed cheesy fun, but I'm struggling to find the desire to pay $1 for the other two which have absolutely horrid review scores pretty much everywhere.

I wish it was true PWYW so I could pay a penny. :p

ETA: Takedown has cards so I guess there's that. Bleh.
You will absolutely not like takedown. It's seriously headshotted from nowhere hardcore/shitty.

PWYWALAYWTPAD

(Pay What You Want As Long As You Wanted To Pay A Dollar)

Activated Shakedown: Dead AI Sabre , got my gift copy...cannot trade because I'm not in good standing?!?....WTF? Look through purchases, have one made older than 30 days ago....cannot comprehend....WHY GABE WHY?!?!?!?
Who are you? You seem shady.

Paywatuwant:

Takedown Red Sabre

Marlow Bricks

Rekoil

4.99

Brothers.

What is this bundle and why my keyboard doesnt work
They only accept paypal? Of course they do after I'm forced to close my paypal account after it broke, was never fixed, and support never tried to help. Would have loved to grab Marlow for $1 :(

I owe you one rcsample!

I know, it's nuts. By all accounts Takedown is awful. I peeked in the forum the other day and a rep from the publisher made some comment that more or less amount to 'Well we publish a lot of games; you can't win 'em all'. Rekoil sounds equally craptactular.

And neither are in a genre that I like even if they were well made.

Yet here I sit trying to justify getting them by selling Marlow for fiddy cent and then selling the Takedown cards because GOTTACATCHEMALL!

I need an intervention.

... Freakin'. Wonderful.

Strider won't start. Apparently I'm not the only one with the problem. I click on the game and it doesn't even start. There isn't even a single error log anywhere.

Additionally, the 32-bit executable is 297kb. The 64-bit one is 15.5 megs. Something tells me they shipped the wrong 32-bit executable by mistake... (I run Win 7 with 32-bit.)

Steam client is asking me to confirm my email address.  How did they know I want to redeem keys from a shady bundle site!?  That Gabe...

I knew a dame once who talked me into buying Marlow Briggs. Spoke it up and down like a real pro and got me to believe. Then I got burned when it was bundled for a buck.

Never listen to dames, man. Never listen to dames.

paywuw.com is registered to Digital Bros S.p.A and that is the parent company of 505 Games, looks like the site is legit.
Well that's kind of smart bundling their own games so as to not let someone else take a huge cut.

Of course they won't get a Humble Bundle level of exposure but if they really push it they might sell on par with Groupees or IG.

*Edit: Hi Dear. Saw this on wikipedia via Reddit

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/505_Games

505 Games is the global video game publishing division of Italian company Digital Bros. S.p.A.

So I went ahead and did this PWUW deal for Marlow Briggs but got 2 keys for each item.  I'm not at home to check if both sets of keys are for Steam, anyone else get this or did I just get a happy glitch?

Oh goddamnit.

Strider is a 64-bit OS game only. It won't work on 32-bit systems. There's no warning on the store page - nothing visible like what used to be there for games like Just Cause 2... but the requirements say x64 OSes required. Way at the bottom.

I bought a game I won't be able to play for a very long while.

fuck

Ask the dev to take 32 of the bits out and send you a copy.....wut?

I received three order emails but they all had the same set of keys.

After checking 10 minutes ago and not seeing a key through the Desura collection, I now see a Steam key. :D
Good call, mine's there too. On a side note, I could have sworn that I had gotten one from groupees as well as bundlestars, but the only bundle listed on the wiki is one I didn't buy. Oh well.

Why the heck would someone not have a 64 bit OS these days?

I was thinking the same thing and the wiki completely left one out... the Groupees Indie Bundle in early December 2013.

Edit: It featured Quest Run, 99 Levels to Hell, Cognition Episode 1 & 2, Six Sided Sanctuary, and Sky Nations in the $1 Tier.

The one wiki has it. The other one doesn't. That's the problem with the move/split of that site. Some people use one site, some the other. In some cases one site has info the other does and in other cases vice versa.

Sounds confusing, but mysterious, too. A little sexy, as well. Like a sexy erotic thriller mystery on Starz circa 2002.
