W: Nintendoland (Wii U-Digital Download) H: Paypal/Amazon GC

Yeah, Mohegan is a BEAUTIFUL casino. It's really run very well and is incredible. I say that not only as a new employee but as a customer of many years. They really know how to treat their guests.

Lowball paperwork is almost done. It'll be up tonight on the page ^_^ Thanks!

Mako1215, I wouldn't expect to win millions unless you're playing in the World Poker Tour :) but maybe I can help you win a few thousand anyhow!

Excellent. Thanks guys. Please, please, please remember to include your CAG name in the message on Paypal. Otherwise I generally don't know who is paying for what. I can figure out some of them, but for amounts that are close it's tough. Thanks.

All Lowball sales will have been shipped out today. If your payment didn't include your CAG name then it will be going out tomorrow morning first thing :) Thanks!

did u get mine that was from gamma
i sent you a PM stating where my payment came from
but another day
what the hell, i can wait
i got a 10 gane ds backlog anyway

'
thx a bunch for an awesome sale
whens the next one

Yes, I got your payment adriley :) Thanks. I'm not sure when I'll be doing the next one. Maybe a week or so. I was a bit bummed with the numbers from this one, so I want to ramp up the users and word-of-mouth for the sale next time around. Having more items should help as well. I just finished a big job transition so I'll have more time soon. Thanks again.

Hey long as you have DS games ill be there.
A good idea is guides.
Frosty had a lot of guides and some went for $15 a pop. it was crazy.
Look for waht other sale sell big on and go from there.
CAGs also love LE stuff.

Well, I'm very, very, very ANTI-Guide for several reasons. I have nothing against people that use them, but for me personally I've always viewed it as a way to cheat through a game, so out of principal I don't buy them (fighting games perhaps are an exception). The other thing is they tend to weigh a lot for shipping, especially to other countries, so I stay away from them for that reason as well.

Right now I am doing an inventory of what I have left in stock and I will debate what will sell better on eBay. Some items in my lowball sales end for less than 50% going prices on eBay, which means I'm falling way short of what I paid for some of these things. So I want to try to at least maximize the bigger items (systems and LE games). But you'll see a lot of great items, not to worry :) My goal is to get the system open so everyone can list items on there, and then there will be hundreds of items to bid on ^_^ I will make it happen!

I think part of the problem was your thread wasn't getting bumped enough since all the bids were on your new Lowball site. I think you need to figure out a way so that each bid on the site bumps the thread.

Update: Last of the Lowball sales are shipped out. I will be working on some new code tomorrow for the next sale. This upcoming one will more than likely be the last one before I open it up to the public :) I want to make sure all the bugs are out.

I'd love to sell some. I can't legally sell chips from the casino I work at, but I can get one from the one I just transferred out of :) I could sell like some $1.00, $2.00 or $5.00 chips ^_^ They are always changing them, so people do in fact collect them.

No you won't need to re-register. I just haven't finished the archive script for past sales yet. The final view will hide expired items ;) Thanks!

Glad to hear it adriley313. I hope you'll take part in my next lowball sale. I'm hoping to have it in about a week and a half :) I'm trying to iron out the small problems and inconsistencies from the first sale (it was meant to be a learning experience after all). Each sale will get progressively better I assure you, which will lead to the grand opening of having it open to anyone and everyone (which means you can list your own items if you wish absolutely free, no pressure, no minimums). Thanks! Keep an eye on this forum :)

Well sum41, I didn't think you were going to follow up on the payment so I already listed the games elsewhere. I didn't leave you negative feedback, because I know you didn't intentionally forget. It's all good. We'll just call it even. You can bid in my next auction if you like, but I'll have to hold you to the payments next time around. Please don't forget next time. Thanks.

Excellent News Everyone! Despite working 10.5 hours today and being dead tired I managed to successfully (for the first time!) get my timestamp system working. What does this mean?

1) I can have multiple items ending at different times (eBay style) or even from different sellers now that I can effectively control the ending times.

2) Ending times will not only be visualized (show ending time/how many minutes are left in the auction) but also will be strictly hard-coded into each item so you CANNOT bid when the item has ended. This was specifically modified from the old format due to sum41rcks getting around my simple security measures =p

3) With my combination of bid logging and hard-coding the ending times there should be no more shennigans :)

I hope to have my new auction up and running by Saturday. This should be the last week before I open it up to the public (so you can list your own items once you see how well the system is running). Thanks again guys!

Any suggestions, questions or feedback is always welcome! ^_^

** Lowball 2.0 Update **

Back by popular demand, I am implementing the Rolling Auction End system again. For those of you who didn't take part in my past auctions, what this means is that each time a bid is placed, 5 minutes is added to the ending time. This ensures that nobody can just snipe you at the very last second, and it also helps to get more bids in for sellers since there may be people that want to bid higher but would otherwise miss their chance.

The way this works on the automated system is very easy. Every bid will add 5 minutes to the auction ending time. In the past I did the rolling end, only at the very end of the auction, but doing it from the get go will ensure all items have different ending times and the people that really want to bid and win an item, will have a chance to do so.

Also, the new site is very, very strict about minimum bids. We no longer have to keep items in 50 cent increments (ie: $1.00, $1.50, $2.00, etc.) but the amount you bid has to be at least 50 cents higher than the last bid before you. This means you still can't outbid someone by one penny. Though, if someone bid $1.00 before you, you could bid $1.51 ... because it is still more than $0.50. You could NOT bid $1.01 in this scenario.

Thanks again guys. Things are really looking up for this system. I'm very excited :)

Thanks adriley313 :) Remember, the auction officially starts Saturday so I'll be updating this original post here with the new info as well as putting some info in my blog/Twitter, etc. and hopefully we'll get some new bidders our way ^_^ I appreciate it.

Bidding is open on the new items, but there's a lot more items coming :) so keep an eye out!

Thanks guys! The sale doesn't even officially start till Saturday and I already have 5 items with bids...you guys rock! I'm going to be adding a TON of items. Just going to keep adding things and adding and adding. Thanks to the automated system and rolling endings, and eBay items, there should always be things to buy now ^_^ So just keep dropping in. Thanks!

Oh and remember if you have items you want to add, let me know :)

The following is for archival purposes. I will be posting a new version for the new sale now and want this to be on record for future reference:

dv8mad Lowball Sale #4: Lowball 2.0!

First off, let me say a BIG THANK YOU to all who took part in my first ever dv8mad lowball auction which benefited our dear friend dv8mad. Without him, we would have never had this type of auction system to begin with and we really appreciate all he's done for the CAG community. Check out his list of other lowball sales on his thread here:

-----------------

This is our latest Lowball 2.0 sale. Things are a little different now, and if I'm correct, it should be easier for everyone this time around. Here's why:

1) The Lowball sale is going to be hosted on my own site here:
http://lowball.gamesforcanada.com

2) All bidding will be invite-only (Please use your CAG name to keep it easy to keep track of). This will keep the bidding under control and keep outside spammers from using the system.

3) All bids will be in $0.50 increments as always, but now I have implemented a custom PHP script to ensure this is the case. No more worrying about whether your bid is big enough or if anyone has outbid you. You'll know instantly!

4) All bids will be automated and therefore updated in REAL TIME. I can add items any time, have some items end at different times, update photos, whatever I want. Full control, full flexibility!

5) I will be opening the system up to you guys so you can use my site for free once it's ready (expect a few more weeks to work on a user interface). This means in theory you can view sales by seller or all as one group (one GIANT lowball sale for everyone!). Things are only going to get better and better, so your feedback is welcome!

Thanks so much guys. Let me know what I can do to improve things. Keep in mind I am not in any way trying to steal away dv8mad's glory. He's a personal hero to me and I know he is well loved in the community. I will partner with him as much as possible to keep him in the loop :) I just want busy CAGs like myself to be able to list and sell games without all the hassle of eBay and without the manual-editing that a typical dv8mad lowball sale requires. Thanks. Remember to register here:

** NEW GAMES WILL BE ADDED DAILY TO THE LIST, SO IF THERE IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT YET, CHECK BACK IN A DAY :) **

Going to sleep soon because I'm exhausted bump. Thanks for your bids guys :)

If you bid, feel free to let us know here to keep the forum in everyone's view ^_^ It helps to grab people's attention, similar to the older lowball auctions.

Just another daily bump. Things are going well with the sale. Keep an eye out for some of the eBay items. The ones sold by me are ending at 10:00 PM today. There is Valkyria Chronicles, Six Feet Under Complete Box Set & Weighted Companion Cube Plushie all at great prices :)
