Rondo of Blood is simply amazing. I love the soundtrack. The redbook audio sounds incredible. ;) I agree with you completely with you Halo05. It's worth buying at 9 bucks for a really good emulation too. I just checked ebay and the game still goes for 95 to 140 dollars!!

I do like the artwork for drucula x and the cd looks cool with the silhouetted castle and bat flying from it.

The branching paths are awesome too. I've had to take some of the easier paths since the damn serpent boss with a pain in the ass. Overall it's nice to play the game that preceded symphony of the night since i played that game too much. This may not be the best comparsion but it feels like having watched empire strikes back first and then finally after years finally seeing the first star wars and going ahh!!! i see what everyone was talking about!!

I got an email from Nintendo saying that Bit Trip Runner was available now. Is this true? It wasn't in the games on Monday. Presumably it's a mix up and probably implies that it will be coming this Monday.

It's wrong. They also said Light Trax was available (Wiiware equivalent to Bit Generations dotstream), which is also not true. I want both so I'm guessing they are Monday releases.

Kirby Super Star
Original platform:
Super NES
Publisher: Nintendo
Players: 1-2
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone)
Price: 800 Wii Points
Description: That awful King Dedede is at it again – he's stolen all the food in Dream Land. It's up to Kirby™ to get it back and ultimately save Pop Star from being overtaken. In what may be the most diverse adventure yet for the round, pink hero, Kirby journeys through six main games and two minigames, finishing with the ultimate showdown in The Arena. Each game offers its own story and style of platforming action, as well as unique environments and an assortment of enemies. Swallowing an enemy allows Kirby to copy the abilities of that enemy, granting him the power to perform special attacks and giving him a new hat to don. In a strategic twist, Kirby can now give up an acquired ability and use it to turn an enemy into a helper. The helper will follow Kirby around and automatically fight as his ally or offer a second player the chance to join in the game by controlling it. There's never a dull moment as Kirby dashes, flies and swallows enemies in his battle against King Dedede, Dyna Blade and Meta Knight.

Me too. I thought the SNES release would have never surfaced. I wasn't sure if Nintendo wanted to risk the DS games sales.

Good move on Nintendos part!

Kirby's great. I missed most of the very late SNES/Genesis titles so any time the VC lets me catch up, I'm pretty happy. Bring on the Genesis port of Timekillers! (please don't)

Bit.Trip Runner is a great addition to the series and, thankfully for me, much more forgiving than the other entries. It's like a Mega Man-speedrun, 8 bit-Mirror's Edge, Tomena Sanner cousin.

Great stuff. I'll need to grab Kirby Super Star too, despite having the DS version. It'll be worth it for the multiplayer and I can stop trying to get my SNES cart to work.

You just made me download the game.

RUNNER is astoundingly beautiful to look at, and requires just enough input to maintain engaging gameplay. Music is awesome too.

Yeah, it's kinda difficult, and pretty unforgiving, and you get sent back to the start of the stage, but the game is phenomenal. Can't wait to go play it some more.

This week, Europe got 2 WiiWare games, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations - WiiWare/1000 Points, and Robin Hood: The Return of Richard - WiiWare/500 Points.

The nice thing though, compared to the other entries is that it doesn't hit you with a game over. You just keep getting sent back until your muscle memory becomes well tuned. I'd get a minor anxiety attack trying to play Beat and Core and knowing that I'm about to "go black and white" and lose. I need to spend soem more time with those games soon . . .

They are all hard, lol

RUNNER is just more tangible idea though. You can wrap your head around forced-side-scroller-Atari-Mario a lot better than "musical Arkanoid."

Most people don't even know what Arkanoid means. Heathens.

Ok, OK. I will download Runner. Just not sure when. So much to play right now, and so much more to play soon. For some reason I'm more resistant to a WiiWare download backlog then a physical one. I have no idea why.

I haven't downloaded anything since the realization that I'm really only "renting" these games since I can't transfer them when/if a new Wii comes out, but I'm thinking I'd like to give Runner a try.

He's that red rabbit that stole my pizza, right?

I got a copy of RUNNER for review. I've never played any other entries in the series, but all I know is that this game is kicking my ass. It took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to play through the first zone. I REALLY suck.

Because I'm too much man for one series to handle. If you'll excuse me, I have to flip up this ridiculously pointy giant collar and strut.

I can't quite make sense of Light Trax, read: I suck at it. I only got to put in two races last night and topped out at 4th place. Accelerating properly seemed to elude me.

I spent most of my evening getting my ass kicked by the first boss in bit.trip Runner.

Description: Discover the wildest West you've ever seen in this action-packed third-person shooter. The Kid gang and their army of robots have taken over the town. The only ones who can stop them are Clint, a tough-as-nails bounty hunter, and Annie, a beautiful-but-deadly woman with a serious score to settle. Blast your way through villainous outlaws, diabolical robots and towering, screen-filling bosses. Play by yourself or with a friend at your side in the two-player co-op mode. You'll need a sharp eye and quick-on-the-draw reflexes. Fortunately, you've got plenty of moves to help you survive the hail of bullets heading your way. You can dive-roll, jump, double-jump, rope enemies with a lasso and clear the screen with explosive special attacks. Blast apart just about everything in the environment to find guns, bombs and other hidden power-ups. It's up to you to bring justice back to town - or whatever's left of the town when the gun smoke clears.
