Yeah, the deal didn't last long.

So I beat King's Quest chapter 1 yesterday and really liked it. Gameplay is pretty simple, mostly using the A button for any action, X for inventory and you'll get the occasional QTE. It's a charming little game....kind of like the Tales from the Borderlands humor but aimed at a younger audience. It's about 5-6 hours or maybe longer if you get stuck on some of the puzzles.

Those are the ones that were released on the 360. They recently got listings on the XB1 marketplace (it looks like they were there already last week), though they just say "Bundle Only" and are available through Rare Replay. I guess that's just how they implemented those.

Can anyone who's purchased any of them on the 360 play them directly from the dash, or are they only accessible right now through Rare Replay?

Black Flag isn't one of those games but multiple other games do it. Destiny, World of Tanks and Happy Wars did it. Online games usually do it, single player ones not so much. Grave disappointment when Garden Warfare didn't transfer my level, unlocks and stuff.

One of my favorite games ever was RC Pro Am. That fact is one of the reasons I didn't buy rare replay. I didn't want to play RC Pro Am 2 and think to myself "What the heck was I thinking?!"

Pretty much exactly the same as the N64 version with more clear visiuals and everything NINTENDO Whitewashed and replaced with Xbox/Microsoft

I feel slightly disappointed that they didn't do the transfer process they did with Banjo 1 & 2 and PD for the 360.

I can totally recommend binding of Isaac. Beyond eyes looks really interesting, I just know nothing about it. I watched a twitch stream earlier and even the guy playing was like "I have no idea what's going on or what I'm doing". And more than once he said it was really really slow.

I remember reading somewhere that the physical edition would likely come with some extra content somehow but there was no hard confirmation/ announcement of it.

I wish they added the Live and Reloaded version, I think that game would look excellent, even by today's graphics.

I assume just because cover art & disc pressing. No reason to wait, IMO. The collection is easily worth $14.99 for the digital. Biased though, I grew up with the blue bomber.

I also watched a Twitch stream of Beyond Eyes... and it looks incredibly slow. You walk around very slowly and 'fill in' the environment around you. Kinda reminded me of The Unfinished Swan. I am sure it is charming - but I am going to wait to buy it until a future sale.

 
The slow gameplay doesn't put me off but I just didn't know what the game was about

For example, I beat Submerged the other day, and while I really enjoyed the charming, simple gameplay, I'm glad I did not pay $20 for it

I like relaxing games and Beyond Eyes looks beautiful, but idk what the game even is gameplay wise or how long it is

Binding Isaac I know is supposed to be amazing but I'm not sure if the game is for me

Played it a bunch already on RR. It holds up, great game. RC Pro Am with achievements and challenges? Cmon man!

 
So I just got an email with a $10 xbl code from the Microsoft store. Not sure if it's for Wolfenstein or Rare Replay, but either way it should have been 15000 rewards points instead.

The old games aren't bad at all. RC Pro 1 and 2 are both really good (f those drag races though). Some of the old games are difficult because of little instruction, so I started doing the snapshots that teach you a little about the game (although some snapshots don't tell you enough about what to do). After doing a few snapshots for every game, I'm enjoying almost all of the old old games now.

The only one I hate with a passion is what I call Pachinko Man aka Underwurlde. So frustrating even when doing the snapshot with no enemies. If your jumps aren't perfect, you start pachinkoing off of everything. Gunfright is also one I'm not a big fan of. The rest are all really fun if you take a little bit of time to learn them.

I would have preferred snapshots to work more like NES Remix. That is my biggest complaint about the game so far. That and it crashed about 5 times last night, but luckily the game loads up really fast.

Then they better start pricing other digital games at half the price of physical ones at release. Or make them at least $15 cheaper. Only makes sense - no physical media to produce and no retailer markup. ;)

Maybe I should hold out for original Xbox backwards compatibility so I can just use my Anniversary Collection disc.

Did you order it online with the same email address as your XBL Rewards email address? That was the big thing they stressed.

Also just buy digital, since the disc downloads the digital copy anyways (but won't play unless disc is in)

Yeah, I had issues with it locking up on me playing Blast Corps but a reset seemed to get me back plus I really like Blast Corps, as much as it could've explained how exactly to unlock the next stages a little bit more clearly. But it's a true highlight of that set.

I did. When you log into the Microsoft store you have to use your windows login which boss the same email and password as my xbl account. Odd thing is they sent the promo code to a different email address, so obviously something is mixed up

I also looked at my rewards page and I got 11200 points on 7/31 which is a very odd number

Same opinion for me on Submerged. Really enjoyed its mash of chill gameplay and Ass Creed "scale the building" mechanics. Surprisingly, it took a while to get 100%. But I can see that the price might be a bit high for most. $14.99 with a $12.99 Gold price might be a bit of a sweeter spot.

I played the free trial for Sheltered tonite... I didn't care for it. It is 100% a point & click post apocalyptic management simulator. Way too busy. Rife with tedium. If you're willing to put in the time, it might be fun - but it's just not my style.
On the flip side, the pixel art is great and the musical score is well done.

Yeah, I played about 15 minutes of it and felt the same way. I wanted to like it but couldn't get into it.

That's the only game I've been playing so far, got all the achievements for it. Getting all plats in that is probably harder then Battle Toads in my opinion, definitely some good challenges in this collection haha

 
Velocity 2X has a release date of 8/19 of THIS YEAR, and no longer shows up as releasing in 2099. Personally, I'm happy to see it's coming out during my lifetime because it looks pretty fun.

I really was not a fan of that game for some reason on PS4. I know it got extremely positive reviews and everything I just for whatever reason could not bring myself to enjoy it.

Yeah, it's one of those games I'll either love or hate but ultimately throw in the backlog and never really get around to actually playing anyway. I wish more X1 games had demos. On 360 I had a backlog of demos. Those were good times.

If you're in the preview program some of the games are available both ways. Unfortunately if you have one of the games already installed before you play Rare Replay, it installs a second copy. My wife has been playing Viva Piñata TiP for a few weeks and Rare Replay installed a second copy.
