Not to mention there are still areas with regular data caps on their internet (though I think a recent bill outlawed this in the US).
Hell I remember on my college campus, the free internet had massive caps and I got banned for downloading CoD: MW4 off steam because of the file size, they said I was abusing the privilege.

AT&T is based on your plan, but i know their average is 250GB per month
Comcast was 300GB per month, but upgraded to 1TB a month

Both charge fees for going over.

Canada has some huge Data Caps all over the place.

Every thing you look at, download, listen to, watch, etc etc everything you do uses data.

Most companies with caps have a meter to tell you how much you've used as well.

  • A 720p HD video would be 15MB/minute. On average a 5 min 720p video can consume about 75 MB of data.
  • If you are watching a 1080p HD movie, that’s about 34MB/minute so a 5 min 1080HD video can consume about 170MB or more of data.
According to Netflix here is the amount of data you will use per hour:

  • 0.7 GB per hour for SD (Standard Definition)
  • 3 GB per hour for HD (High Definition)
  • 7 GB per hour for UHD (Ultra High Definition also known as 4K)

I also have AT&T internet, just internet and they just recently increased my cap from 600gb to 1tb.  But if you get the bundle, tv, internet & phone, there's no cap.  You could look up how much you used on their website and I'm glad I did a couple months ago because I almost hit the limit of 600gb because I did the instant on keep Xbox updated option but luckily it updated to 1tb.  I doubt we'll ever go use 1tb a month though.

Nah AT&T & Comcast is still doing caps in many markets.

 
Pitchford and crew denying it will just make it look worse to those that actually supported it when it is announced, but they're probably desperate for any sales they can actually get between now and then. I feel like this became beyond obvious when 2K, not Gearbox, so specifically announced they planned to continue supporting Battleborn. Then the $15 Humble Bundle on top of that.

I got my Lost Odyssey new from Amazon for like $20... after mine was stolen on campus.

Blue Dragon I got used from BestBuy.com, disk was literally damaged so they replaced it no charge with a working copy which turned out to be new.

... I just looked up LO, I didn't realize the inflation in it's price to $80

Yeah I had a new copy when it was new but sold it off with my 360 at one point and then when I got another it was among the things I picked up used again.  Think I got it from one of those X for $X sales GS does at least.

Mine got stolen at a college party, literally someone walked in and took it.

Tales of Vesperia too..

When I sold my 360, I kept those three games since I felt they were some of the best on the system and most enjoyable RPG's I've played in quite a while.

Lost Odyssey makes my life complete! Man I had a tear in my eye playing through the intro and onto the airship ride (or whatever it's called). Over 1000 years of feels!

I gave a friend my copy of Blue Dragon, so I guess It's time to start bidding on some hard copies.

If/when MS sells Lost Odyssey as a digital copy I am going to throw down another $20.

So freakin' happy! Thanks Phil Spencer :D (and MS BC engineers who probably played for a good 1000+ hours to make sure there were no bugs with the game on BC).

 
It makes you wonder how worth it is for MS if they have to pay employees for thousands of hours of testing a game people will only be buying used. Either it's coming to digital so they can sell it again and make a buck or they're really dumb
 
Good God it's taking forever for Lost Oddysey to download. Three hours so far.

I actually remember almost buying Guwange last time it was on sale. Wish I had grabbed it. Need some shmups on X1.

Data is calculated for your monthly billing cycle, and it includes everything you do online, such as checking/writing emails, checking Twitter, stalking people browsing Facebook/Instagram, Youtube, browsing websites, Netflix and downloads. Basically, anything you do online is being measured.

Netflix doesn't use a lot of data. According to their numbers, it's:

  • 700MB (0.7GB) per hour for Standard Definition (SD)
  • 3GB per hour for High Definition (HD)
  • 7GB per hour for Ultra High Definition/4K
 
Started to download lost odyssey and its at 22.43 gb :(

Edit: wow i never knew i had bought toy story 3 its sitting in my install list.

I've used 500GB-600GB/month since the start of the year.  No caps thankfully.

Thankfully I just thought to check because Time Warner was trying to pull a fast one on me.

Maybe Gamestop slipped them a few jacksons so they could profit off all those used copies they gave people ten cents for years ago.

In all honesty? I have no idea. Maybe something didn't work out between them and Mistwalker in terms on profit sharing, and Microsoft was just like "fuck it." since they spent so much time testing it in BC.

It could also be one of Phil Spencer's wishes since he wanted Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon to be BC. Some other game he really wanted to be BC as well but I can't recall what game right now.

There's other games that you can't download as well: Doom BFG and Deus Ex: Director's Cut.

They also got a few games BC that are not available for purchase/delisted like Golden Axe. Granted Golden Axe is probably just a good will gesture from Sega since you can buy Golden Axe Vintage Collection

The coolest gesture I've seen from MS was making Castle of Illusion BC the day before it got delisted.

Either way I hope it goes for purchase down the road. Would love to give them a few extra $ for their hard work.

I use between 500-600gigs a month just on my XB1. Computer usage varies, definitely less. Thankfully no caps, although my provider got bought out so who knows what will happen.

They did. If you click pickup in store it shows the in store price as $24.99

Just wait for it to go on sale for $5 again on XBL for anyone that is interested in it. (or hell, just buy it digitally for $20 and tell GS to go screw themselves)
