Yeah, I'm hoping to have it done before the servers get shut down in about 13 - 14 hours. My world is only 7 - 8 hours old (meaning I have 16 - 17 hours left not factoring in the server shutdown) and I'm already at 74 downloads, just hoping posting here helps put me over the top.

I'm using TrueAchievements, we have a last-minute session going on since the servers shit the bed yesterday for almost a day, completely ruining our run (I was at 82 downloads before the crash, really sucked).

Here's the gaming session if you want to join, but given how late you're joining, it's hard to guarantee you'll get very far.

My old X1 headset doesn't fit in the S controller. What the fuck.

It looks like it should and people I've asked said it should fit, but since I traded in my only other controller I have no basis for comparison. Taking controller to a friend's this weekend, if his headset doesn't fit either, back the controller goes.

I didn't really "get" the series at first. Had PGR 4 when it came out but barely played it until a couple years later when I was bored and broke and wanted to drive cars wot go fast. It clicked for whatever reason and I just devoured it. Was so cohesive and had such a strong racing style.

Gotta say Anode is a pretty kick ass puzzle game. Kinda like Tetris but still it's own beast with quite a bit of depth. Easy recommend for $3:99.

Me too. The achievements were a slog, and I wasn't much of a creator, but it definitely had potential and had a lot of fun, creative creations in spite of being based on a pretty basic engine. Marketing definitely had a lot to do with why the game flopped, as well as it being obvious that Microsoft pulled the rug out from under Team Dakota almost immediately after they wrapped up Conker (right around the E3 announcement, some of the only marketing they got, which was met with a ton of backlash). They just didn't give it enough time to grow. Just imagine how great a version of Project Spark designed to take advantage of the power of the Scorpio would have been.

It doesn't help that they went overboard with the pricing for content as well. I think Conker was the only fairly priced DLC. The only upside being that all the DLC could be bought with in-game credits, at least.

Funny you mention an Attack on Titan game though,seeing as the Xbox family is getting their first one very soon. Maybe the dev team was inspired by your Project Spark creation. :bouncy:

I never like it when they turn off servers for a recent game. I don't think they were costing them so much, they should keep them on instead of taking a backslash.

I remember when EA announced the same for Fifa 12 and a lot of people complained, well the servers are still online 5 years later. Is EA going bankrupt because of that? I don't think so.

Worst offenders were Sony when they turned off GT5 servers right after GT6 launch. It took them longer to actually release the game after the announcement than to turn off servers lol.

 
playing resident evil 5 which I Have been enjoying and can definitely see this being a game I play through several times, seems like for the price is there tons of time that can be spent in the game.

In M$' defense, I think FIFA is mostly just P2P, right? Project Spark servers would have to be far more complicated (I mean it supports for cross-save, for starters) with all the simultaneously hosted content/stats and therefore more costly to maintain. I assume they just don't even want to bother with the cost of keeping a skeleton crew for future debacles like the servers crashing yesterday, most of TeamDakota is confirmed to have moved on a long while back.

That said, I agree that they're being the bad kind of cheapasses for not keeping it up. I kind of figured the writing was on the wall after it went entirely free as a "teaching tool" (probably for some sort of tax write-off on the "failed" venture?), since they've been stingy about the project this entire time.

Sony is definitely worse about server upkeep than MS though, most likely because the PS3 servers didn't have a cost for entry.

Conan is a decent hack and slash type game, and everyone keeps alluding to the bare breasted women that you get to rescue. I also picked up the 3D Bionic Commando game which is a lot like playing a Spider-Man game once you get used to the controls.

I want to pick up RE and RE:0 but I can't at their current prices...

I did pick up Revelations and I'm debating Revelations 2 Season Pass while I pateintly wait for RE and RE 0 to hit 75% off.

Yeah, I got you thrice. It's gonna be a close call but I think you can still make it, hopefully people are starting to wake up now.

90% of people who uploaded within the first few hours and followed the guidelines (including me) seem to have gotten it.

 
Anyone else having achievements not pop?  I finished up Halo 3 (MCC) last night and no achievements in the last couple chapters.  Played maybe 45 mins of Halo 4 today and still none.  

I played both before on 360 but these aren't shared achievements anyway right?  

Once back in March or April I had ONE achievement not pop.  Took weeks before it showed up as earned (and with the correct date).

Funny enough that's the only hold out from the xbox BC video on their own channel. I wonder what's taking so long ? Maybe waiting closer to the Horizon 3 release?

Dead Space #1 is sooo good. God I loved that game. Played through it 3 times and 1000/1000 it.

Sony is definitely worse about server upkeep than MS though, most likely because the PS3 servers didn't have a cost for entry.

No. If I remember correctly, most of the big EA titles like FIFA and Battlefield run on dedicated servers.

Ultimate team on FIFA is on dedicated servers, so I assume the whole game is as well.

I like it so far. I just beat Chapter 6 (Doing 1 chapter per day off work) where you fight that giant thing in the food storage. The game is making me jump left and right with eerie creatures, noises and music but I'm pushing through haha probably wont 1000/1000 it, but I might at least give it a shot on the hardest setting.

I forgot Forza Horizon was in that video. I actually just started playing FH on the 360 (must have bought it when it was 5 bucks or whatever) because FH3 looks pretty awesome to me and I wanted to try it out as a primer. Would be nice if they moved it to the X1.

It wasn't my creation. I also mostly just played games. I posted a ton of Project Spark videos to YouTube. They were consistently more popular than my other videos. I got kind of far in a psychological horror game, but I stopped after realizing it would only appeal to people that really like psychology. It was a variation of the Milgram experiment, all text based. There was a "connecting to another player" screen with a random amount of waiting time and a small chance to "You have been disconnected from the other user. Please restart the world and search again". Then like the Milgram experiment, the other person would have to answer questions and you would "shock" them if they got it wrong. As the game went on, the shocks got stronger (increase controller vibration).

Then I really wanted to make Conker GO like Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO, but that was way too complicated of a project for me to even start.

Lastly I was making a puzzle game kind of like Pneuma: Breath of Life. I got pretty far and had most of the puzzles ready to make, but never finished it.

The devs also streamed every week showcasing the latest and greatest games from the community. Most important part of "work in progress" kind of games to me, is dev participation with the community. They fixed broken achievements, added requested features, often held community contests with prizes, talked to the stream viewers, etc.

Anyone know if Blood Dragon from the Far Cry Comp disk works for BC?  I saw the disk on sale at Target for $9 so I bit.  If not I can just return it

 
They need to allow us to beta test BC games. IE Forza Horizon or whatever game that's not released yet. Let us report bugs, etc. Beta testing BC games could make the process go even faster. We are already beta testing their OS, so why not the games?

Just got the message also. Said it expires 5/26/17 which which is a year from when that random $20 was added to my account back in May 26. So that was indeed the refund for PS.

FH2 is a much better game and a better representation of what FH3 will be. I'd get that if you can find it cheap somewhere. Wasn't it on sale last week?

That Project Spark Credit... Did you have to fill something out to get it? I still have the game and got an email saying a while back I was getting one but no $20.

Did it have a Venkman mode that used the Kinect where if it detects a hot woman playing, every answer is correct, and dweeby guys always get a shock?

 
The XB1 web marketplace pages now redirect to microsoftstore.com and follow that site's style.  This could delay the reporting of date night prices, both from me and Store Parser.  Edit: Non-Gold markdowns like the Capcom sale show how many days are left for the price, no indicators for Gold prices.

No changes at present to the 360 web marketplace.
