Did anyone have xbox credit "refunded" into their account from xbox live rewards?

I had $50+ bucks refunded into my account without any message or anything.  I think it may be for the few xbox fitness workouts I purchased.  Anyone have any information on this.  You may want to check your account balance if you purchased a workout.

edit: I dug way back in my purchase history and that is exactly what this refund is for - the price is exactly the same.  If you purchased a workout look for it.

Titanfall 2 is just revealing how much I sucked in the first game. This "earning " Titanfalls is killing the momentum for me. Guess I actually am going to have to get good to enjoy it. LOL

It wasn't dead, but the population was pretty small shortly after launch. I played it some at launch, then didn't play it for like 6 months and when I came back all my friends and I could find a match in was Campaign and Attrition. A couple months later we just stopped playing it because It'd take us 20-30 minutes to find a match, which was a shame because I really enjoyed the game.

 
Do you guys know if Life is Strange is on sale frequently ? Totally regret not buying it during the summer sale !

Bots only in 1 of the 3 alpha gamemodes and don't even spawn all the time

Slower gameplay

Titans are "earned" and slower to get

No secondary weapon

To get the shield on the Titan you need to get a battery from the ground where another Titan has been destroyed

Parts of gameplay are now locked to perks (grappling hook to stay on walls and titanfall bubble shield)

I'm back on Titanfall 1.

Yeah, the slower gameplay, earning of Titans and no secondary weapon in particular really has killed my enjoyment of the game. I suppose it does make it more strategic and good for the best players, but it feels like the heart of the game was ripped out for me. The fast paced gameplay and Titans are what got me hooked to begin with.

I donno. Guess I should voice my opinion over on the Respawn forums but will probably not be heard at this point. Maybe they can add some "classic" mode where it's like the original -- just with new gadgets, weapons and Titans from T2.

Did you install it off disc? If so, you have to install from disc on the one as well. I bought it all digitally and noticed that most DLC was available individually, but one DLC (may have been the undead nightmare stuff) was only available to install as part of a DLC bundle.

I got on the Titanfall train late, after Christmas the year it released, and while the servers weren't at CoD numbers, I never had a problem starting a game and quickly. There was one mode which was basically empty and some of the playlists seemed unnecessarily split apart, but it was never hard to find a game. I'm hyped to check out the tech test. It had trouble downloading last night so I couldn't play it.

Does everyone in the preview program receive a 450-480 MB update seemingly 3-4 times a week or is my xbox doing something strange?

Updates are pushed out Wed and Sun*, and after a day or two if it hasn't been installed it will force you to watch it. Always On is the only way to be in the preview and not get interrupted everytime you sit down to play. Even with Always On/auto update, I still get interrupted, but it's not as frequent.

*They don't roll out the updates for everyone all at once so you can't just manually check Wed/Sun night, but that's when they start the rollouts. As far as I know, the twice weekly updates are just for those that Opt-in to test the newest features. Regular preview members only get updates like once a month or something.

Quoting myself because went to the Respawn forums and the overwhelming majority of posts were expressing the same exact concerns as far as MP. They basically slowed down gameplay with more of a COD feel and gutted what made the game fun.

So unless major changes are made, I may be cancelling my pre-order.

I mean WTF were they thinking? Most people praised the MP. Sure there some tweaks that could be made and additional weapons/Titans is good. But to completely upend the game? Not cool.
 
Hopefully I'll get some alone time with Titanfall 2 later and play it finally. I swear every time there's a beta or whatever I want to play, the damn mother in-law is visiting and I have to give up the TV lol. I can't wait to get the Scorpio so I'll have an extra Xbox One during times like these. And I remember Titanfall 1 was my most played game until PvZ: GW 1 came along.

If you have a Windows 10 computer, you could just play your Xbox 1 through it on the network. Or would that not be ideal for a MP game? Or if you have room, get another TV if you can, even if it isn't huge.

Thanks, I'm using always on and I've had way more updates than that over the last month. Sucks to get home from work at 1am and then wait a half hour for the update to install (Really fast update until it slows to a crawl around 80%) because I want to play Warframe which is an online only game. Finally getting caught up on watching shows like Preacher while I wait at least.

Yeah, to me, the need to earn Titans is the biggest joykill. Takes forever and might reward good players with long kill streaks, but it destroys the fun for me. The game is Titanfall for God's sake not COD with an occasional earned mech if you play well.

If you have a Windows 10 computer, you could just play your Xbox 1 through it on the network. Or would that not be ideal for a MP game? Or if you have room, get another TV if you can, even if it isn't huge.

That's cool about the Windows 10 thing but I don't have a gaming PC to play on though :( . Yeah we have an extra TV upstairs but no extra Xbox One and I like leaving mine in the living room where everything is already set up nicely & we cut the cable so we just have internet and stream everything on Xbox which she uses and laptops. #firstworldproblems lol

That is understandable. I haven't gotten around to seeing how well playing on Windows 10 works myself and ya cutting cable has its negatives. If it were me, I would be claiming the TV... [emoji16]
 
BTW the website said I didn't own the new bomberman, but I did...did this game have licensing issues like wolfenstein? Or were there two versions?

I was able to install it from my ready to install list.

They removed attrition mode from what I read. It's now called "bounty hunt" and is vastly different. They also removed bots from all the other game modes (so far). The developers apparently missed the point as attrition is the most played mode in Titanfall 1 to this day!

As far as shields go? You still get them. The difference is you have to pick up shield cores, which are green icons on the map. Either another pilot can pick it up for you or you have to leave your titan to get it. Doesn't help that Titans also have less HP and move slower then the Titanfall 1 titans.

You can no longer just hang from walls. It's a ability now. Wut?

The AI is pretty much non-existent outside of one mode.

The "main attraction" mode is Pilots vs Pilots. lol... who asked for this? Not Adam Jensen obviously.

The movement is slower in this game. Yes, the movement is SLOWER then Titanfall One.

The two maps suck ass. It's also camper heaven for a lot of people. You can't wall run seamlessly like the old games. Angel City am cry.

I am lucky to get one titan a match. The titans are also paper thin as I said - they die real fast.

Blisk aka Blisk Iced Tea doesn't make any snarky comments when you get double kills, ending killstreaks, destroying your rivals etc.

The controls feel a bit off, but there is a Titanfall Legacy control option which is not default for whatever reason. Switching to Legacy gives you the Titanfall 1 control feel...outside of moving slower of course.

Again, you hardly get to call in any titans. I am lucky to get *1* titan a match, even when I do well. I killed twenty people in Amped Hardpoint but apparently doesn't matter unless I got those 20 kills while camping the hardpoint. Remember how in Titanfall you had a timer and a lady telling you your Titan was ready in 30 seconds? No more.

The game is a absolute mess right now. The only positives so far are 1) We are getting a second Titanfall game. 2) They have a elite controller setup just for elite control users. 3) You can edit your class/loadout when in a live game. 4) It's still better then COD. 5) The extended Menu music is amazing. I feel like this game will have a great music score.

I'm hoping they either delay the game (not likely) or do massive improvements before release of the game (not likely).

I am really torn on pre-ordering this game but my love for Titanfall 1 is probably going to force me to. I put in 500+ hours in Titanfall 1 and got all the achievements.

Final edit: All they had to do was add more maps, modes, Titans and guns and it would have been a solid sequel. Instead, they decided to chase the COD audience/whatever it is they are thinking to get the 10+ million figure. I'll be surprised if the game sells well in It's current state considering the cold reception from Titanfall 1 veterans and the so-so reception from new players on the PS4.

After playing the beta I felt like the girl of my dreams died in front of me and I got cancer.

Very strange. It sounds like instead of building on what people like about Titanfall 1 they're just scrapping everything and starting over. I'd be interested to hear the rationale behind that.

Something to do with more sales. EA is expecting 10 million in sales for Titanfall 2 and Respawn thinks this is how to get more sales.

If Titanfall 2 doesn't sell 10+ million there might not be a sequel. Keep in mind they are expecting 15 million in sales for Battlefield 1.

I second all your points. I feel like the developers are caught between a rock and a hard place. They made all these changes that took away the essence of the first Titanfall. But I feel like if they didn't make so many changes -- if they added more maps, gamemodes, weapons, customizations, some abilities (grappling), new titans, etc. -- people would still complain and say they are acting like CoD. That they are remaking the old game with a new skin and charging $60 for it. I'm really torn right now because this was genuinely the only game that excited me for the rest of 2016.

Surprised they announced that one free GwG so early. I wonder what the advantage of doing that is.

 
Another thing I find really annoying about TF2 is that there are lots of little bunches of trees interrupting the flow of the map, and if you run into/get stuck on them it counts them as being out of bounds. I got 3 deaths playing last night because of only having 5 seconds to get back to the map and not having any grapple points or walls to kick off of.
 
The only good thing is this test is getting blasted over on the Titanfall 2 forums, for the same reasons posted here, so we can only hope they take all the criticism to heart. I honestly don't see anyone enjoying the changes (even those that never played the first one). But at the very least, maybe they could keep the changes, but have the option to flip on "classic mode" for those who perfer the original gameplay.

And I would be fine with a delay to do that. All I wanted was great maps, new weapons and Titans with the big new thing being a solid story mode.

Titan fall 2 is way slower. What made the first one great was how fast it was.

The grappling hook sounded like a good idea but it even slows down the parkour part of the game also.T he cool thing with the grapple hook is you can do some cool moves like bulletstorm with it. You can grapple a guy pull him towards you then kick him. It will make for some unique kills.

Basically they made it more like cod which sucks. If I wanted to play cod I would be playing cod.


Attrition mode is now bounty hunter. You get money for killing grunts, spectres, pilots, and Titans, you lose money when you die. You win the game by having the team deposit the most money in the bank.

Bascially, the banks will open for about 30 seconds you have to make it back and deposit the money or you lose it. All you have to do is spawn kill at the opposite teams bank. It's going to make for frustrating game play since you will have one person not playing just spawn killing at the bank and you won't be able to deposit your money.

Spawn killing takes noobies out if the game and they won't want to play a game where right when you respawn you will immediately get killed. Means you won't have many people to continue to play.

I havent been on in like a week, was on yesterday and saw the green tile xbox preview dashboard under the "ready to install" section, which was odd. Where do you see a black on at?

In a new developer blog, The Coalition has revealed (most of) the requirements for the Seriously 4.0 achievement in Gears of War 4. They're pretty serious. The requirements are as follows:

  • Complete the Campaign on Insane Difficulty
  • Get to Re-Up 10
  • Earn all Ribbons at least once
  • Earn a Rank Placement in each mode
  • To be revealed: Horde Requirement
  • To be revealed: Horde Requirement
  • To be revealed: Horde Requirement

Man, I came into the thread and saw Wall-O-Texts, which I usually buzz over.  But, I'm glad I read this TF2 info.  I just assumed Respawn would build on what was there, but it sounds like its changed quite a bit.  I was going to skip the tech test but maybe I will DL just to try it out. 

Then again, this isn't the finished game, so we should probably keep some of this in check.  And a single player campaign.  They had me at single player campaign.  The question is preorder or get it in a few months under $40?

 
Co worker of mine just hit 1000 hours played on Killer Instinct...thats some nasty stuff. I sent him a congrats because to me, that's super impressive. Usually, you'd stereotype the dude to have no life but this guy is active duty military.

I wish I could still game like that... Anybody trying to adopt two kids and a wife?
 
I enjoyed my time in TF2 last night. I would really need to go back to TF1 for a bit to see what the difference in feel is... I don't know. If I don't feel like it's going to hold my attention, I'll just wait a week and only get CoD:IW.

Anyone having trouble with redeeming the MS credit that was offered by Bing? Thinking it may have something to due with the newly combined MS/Xbox site.
 
What states don't tax xbI purchases? just need it for a farm account because what I want is $24.99 and I only have $25 on there and don't want to add money to it or paypal. I think someone mentioned Delaware before I want to be sure.

No offense, but Team Fortress 2 came out just shy of a decade ago and the devs dropped support of the 360 version quite quickly. I loved the hell outta that game though. Stop living in the past and gettin confused yo

Move to Delaware and you won't have that problem any longer. You'll might have to get rid of those old Texas cards on your account when you move though.

And still number 3 on Steam everyday which is insane. What's really insane though are the numbers DOTA 2 and CS GO do though. Would be really interesting to see how they stacked up to XBL and PSN numbers.

I really loved Team Fortress 2, but it was mighty tough to find a match come Spring 08. Always was jealous of the PC version as I had coworkers who were bragging Fall 08 how great it was and then mocking me for having the inferior version *grumble grumble*

Yeah, I bought Orange Box on both and it's understandable how much they changed the game early on why they couldn't keep the 360 version on par with the restrictions on XBL and the 360 in those days.

Any state without sales tax. Just look up a scientology center for an address. That's the one thing they are useful for.
