Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Tried playing Red Dead Redemption on Xbox One X on my 1080p TV and it's really bad. Some sort of stuttering or something that makes moving around almost nauseous for me, so I can't touch this until it's fixed.
Sad to hear. Maybe time to get a 4K TV? Wonder if they didn’t test on a 1080P?

Been meaning to post the Digital Foundry analysis. Looks like they also updated it to include the Undead Nightmare DLC. I haven’t tried that yet but the main game is incredible in 4K.

Any of this NOT included in the MvC:I season pass?

Any of this NOT included in the MvC:I season pass?

The costume packs aren't included. If you want a complete game and already have the season pass (included with the deluxe version of the game), you can just buy the premium costume pass and the Evil Ryu, Maverick Mega Man, Warrior Thor, and Gladiator Hulk outfits (these four were included in the SE of the game that had the Infinity Stones).

For a fully complete collection of game content, you'd need to be playing on PS4 though, since they also have a special Captain Marvel outfit that is exclusive.

Should be these. The season pass is only the new characters and one included costume for them. That Premium Costume Pass is the rest of those packs combined, for the default characters, though there were a few other costumes that weren't included in this pass. The pre-order Thor stuff and a couple others.

I'd make sure to actually look at the costumes first if considering the costume pass. A lot of the costumes kind of suck so you might be able to get away with one or two of the cheaper packs for the ones you actually like.

I played the second dlc on PS4 and enjoyed it. The first one sounds kinda stupid to me. Reviews for it weren't very good. Have not motivated myself to play the first dlc. Unless you have someone to play with on XBox I would probably just wait for a sale on the dlc on PSN. The game is fun single player but much more fun co-op. Not sure I would want to replay it solo on XBox.
I actually have enough people on my Xbox friends list to make a full squad compared to the one person for ps4.
Everybody else on my ps4 friends don't play wildlands.
Thanks for letting me know the dlc.

Thank you to you two. I've had an Ultimate here for a few months that I've yet to open, but I might check out the costumes like SIX suggested tonight or tomorrow before sales end

Has anyone played the Awakening the Nightmare Halo Wars 2 DLC?  Any thoughts on the price is $13.99?  Is it worth that?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Anyone interested in getting wildlands regular vanilla version . Best buy has a digital copy for 19.99. I think that's $5 cheaper than the console store.

Press menu and back button (what ever its called) at the same time to open 360 settings menu
Thanks. Wasn’t sure since I haven’t used it. Generally like the eye candy of the 4K so don’t want to turn it off for performance. :)

It's in the 360 guide menu while playing a 360 game. Under settings > Xbox One X settings > Performance Mode. I think graphics mode is selected by default. The game will restart after selecting it.
I think you have to press the Xbox button to bring up the menu screen that the 360 has on it. It’s in those options. Not the game’s options.
Oh. Didn't know there was anything like that.

I played with that on for a few minutes. The frame stuttering is maybe a little better, but it's a blurry mess to make it a bit worse than before. Oblivion looks better than this game.

Here's a video of the game with performance mode on:

Just now realized they changed the Microsoft/Xbox points through Bing Rewards only being direct deposited into the Microsoft account your using.

They dont send you the redeem code through email anymore... so you can't stack codes from different accounts. Damn it.

gamepass is still a code at least, so you could stack those

Ghost recon wildlands: campaign you can play co op or solo (controlling the AI). For the PVE dlc, can you do the same? Or is the only option for the DLC to play co op?

Not sure about the DLC but know the campaign can be played solo. I’ve been playing it that way and enjoying it.

The dlc part will help me decide how to buy it.

I’m pretty sure they will do a year 1/2 like RS siege. So if I can play dlc solo I’ll wait for that edition. Otherwise the sale at B.B. is super tempting now

That was one of the games that made me stop paying attention to reviews for good. I honestly don't give a shit about Metacritic or any other site when it comes to reviews. It was Deadpool and Ryse that got me to decide to just play what I want and make my own evaluation.
Sunset Overdrive and Mad Max for me. I realized that it's better to use scores as a general guideline, but you like what you like and you shouldn't let anyone detract you from playing something you like.

RIP Robert Lee Ermey.
That SUCKS :(

You like Mad Max? I am playing it these days and I find it so horribly boring.

I was going to post a picture of him with a young boy in a headlock in memoriam, but I can't find it. Oh well, imagine I did I guess.

Sad to say I didn’t remember who he was at first but I think I will need to soon watch Full Metal Jacket again in remembrance.

Not a deal at all, but I just noticed Nine Parchments got an Xbox release last month. 4k 60 fps, from Frozenbyte (Trine), gorgeous art design. Co-op wizard combat game where you can cross the streams for interesting results. Friendly fire can make it even more interesting/funny/chaotic. 20 bucks.
Reviews were mixed but the demo was fun on Switch. I'm not saying don't support the devs if this is your bag but Frozenbyte games are on sale constantly and for next to nothing. 9P already has had multiple sales on both PS4 and Switch with increasing cuts each time and is dropping rapidly.

Yeah, played the demo and enjoyed it but will wait for a sale. Got the Trine games cheap so sure this will be as well.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is counting down to date night, as are Halo 5, Skyrim and GR Wildlands.  The free play weekend discounts will probably flip over to Gold for the following week.  Injustice 2's discounts have 9 days remaining, so they'll probably just carry on.

Superhot GwG ends at 6am Eastern.

Early adopter discount for Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala ends at 10am Eastern.

What does counting down mean?
It means that the current price is going to expire and be replaced with a non-sale price at the end of the countdown. For example, go here and look under the line with the crossed-out price and current price and you'll see that Halo 5's current price will expire in ~20 hours.

Ah ok, had no idea that's what that meant.

Hoping the new BC Xbox games go live tonight. Especially can’t wait to play Panzer Dragoon Orta. Based on how great other OG Xbox games looked and played, especially Ninja Gaiden Black, it should be awesome.

I’m still amazed that Orta was on the list. While it’s one of my favorite games of that generation and top on my wanted list, pretty sure it wasn’t all that popular. I’m happy.

Question about the DS 2 X360 Severed DLC: Do I need to play through the DS2 campaign to access it or is it accessible for play through right off the bat? I own and beat DS2 on PC/Origin a number of years back and while the main campaign is on my 'replay at some point' list, I'd probably do that on PC vs 360 anyway. I wouldn't mind cranking through the Severed DLC now though, assuming I can jump right in.

Went to buy some cheap OG Xbox games on Gamestop's site and the prices were ranging from 2.99 to 6.99 and then when I went to checkout they shot up to 9.99 or more. fuck Gamestop for price gouging.
