Lego City Undercover is fantastic and one of the better if not the best lego game. It was almost sad that it got stuck on a console that nobody played.

Curious to see how they re-worked the game as the Wii U gamepad was pretty heavily incorporated into the game.

Forza Horizon 3 has four new weekend Challenges up. Three are very easy. Classic Muscle car Speed Zone challenge can be tough. You likely need to upgrade one to S2 and find a mostly straight zone under 135 mph. Clean Start challenge is easy, just don't hit anything for the first minute or so of a race, even head-to-head counts.

Yup. Knocked out the 3 easy ones this morning. Still need to do the speed challenge. I have two different decent classic muscle cars hopefully one of them can get me through the speed zone challenge.

Correct me if I'm wrong but besides when he first started saying it trench has only brought up dead/dying BC when other people give him grief about it. Feel like at this point we wouldn't really see it if people just left him alone. So I guess he succeeded at being a troll if that was the plan?
 
You guys do realize there is some truth to what he says. BC is eventually going to slow down and then just trickle in a few here and there. While it's not "dead" yet it is slowing down. The publishers who wanted to play would have been at the table with Microsoft by now. It is going to slow down.

Well there is a finite number of games, especially when you take out games that have been remastered and old sports games. Of course they're gonna stop giving us new BC games, but I doubt that will be for a while. The great thing is that it seems their business model going forward is that all of the games that currently work on a X1 will be working on their consoles going forward, so you have a game library like Steam but within the Xbox ecosystem.

How many games are left to make BC? Thousands? Even if they did ten a month we still have years of content for them to do. They also have a small team that is only capable of a few titles each week. Can you imagine how much time they had to spend playing Oblivion to make sure it was bug free?

If anything I'd be more worried about MS shutting down the cloud save/360 servers say 10+ years down the road. You need to be online just to access your saves, which means if they cut that portion off BC would actually be dead on the X1.

Edit: Still around 870 retail left. Not even counting arcade titles which another 500+

There are 719 XBox Live Arcade titles. I don't know the exact amount that are left to go BC. Wikipedia doesn't have a hard number so I have to count them manually so I'll pass.

Plus you have to factor in old sports games, which won't come. Nor will kinect games unless something changes. Plus you have to factor in licensed games and publisher's who are asshats or out of business. The library of available titles that can come is probably around 600-700 at best. 700 is probably being extremely generous. By hey, why use logic when you can shut your eyes and pretend?

I'm sure Microsoft would love to make everything BC, but its not solely up to them and that sucks. Unfortunately we've seen the height of the program. It is dying. It is the truth. I do not lie.

Straight up though, Trench is good at what he does. Some of y'all get riled up pretty bad.

Xbox related, this will be the second month of no purchases this month. However, I didn't get any games completed. Just a stalled out backlog count this month. Anybody keep up their January progress and chip away at the backlog?

I have beaten 2 games so far, Xcom 2 and Dead Effect 2. Close to beating For Honor, and should also be able to best Halo Wars 2 this month, which is way off my hopeful pace of 8-9 games a month to hit 100 this tear, bit I did get 10 in January

I had a blow-up with a jerk in an old thread over bullshit said to starmask a long time ago (I've since stopped giving a shit), but trying to get people to treat other people online any better than they already do seems to be an exercise in futility because they don't learn the lesson because there are no consequences. Ahhhh, to be a mod. :D

But you're right, he's in his element when he posts. Just when you think something worthwhile will end up in a post, the last 10% of that post just casually erases any goodwill gained from the other 90% of the post. :)

Only one console ever did BC right, the PS2. PS1 chip on board. I'd say the PS3 did it right for a moment at launch, but that model went out of production quick.

Well, just beat Halo Wars 2. Knew I was fairly deep into the game, but didn't know I was that close. Game was very good, and the cutscenes were amazing, but it just wasn't as challenging as the first. Haven't tried online yet so we'll see how that goes

Haven't played Turf Masters, but NeoGeo World Heroes is pretty terrible. Seems to be a basic 2D fighter and I wouldn't waste the money on it unless you need a gamerscore boost. Literally the only good thing about the game as you can get the full 1k within 30 minutes.

To be fair I think World Heros is maybe the 2nd game I've seen on the Neo Geo and games like Fatal Fury were already starting to do way more interesting stuff in the 2D fighting realm. Turf Masters isn't much better, ran into one glitchy achievement. It does have some original game modes not found in the Neo-Geo arcade version that were sort of interesting, but it's very bare bones. Two of the achievments can be rather difficult in "hi-score" and "caravan" mode.

Can't be too difficult. I suck at fighting games and got them all on my first try. No restarting or anything.

Nope, and I didn't play the first on Legendary either.

The first had that mission where the Scarab head would shoot you across the map and you had to disable the tracking system which was pretty difficult, and a few other challenging missions, even on normal. I didn't feel like this was challenging at all on normal. It was still fun though.
