Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.
[*]ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...

No idea why I've been hoarding these 14 day XBL trials when my next expiration is 5/2018 and I have at least 6 more years yet to redeem after that.

Well the 3/DS/GBA/C and Wii/U would probably like to have a word with you as would first gen PS3 systems.
Thanks Eldritch, I redeemed the third code in the list.

Nope, and I didn't play the first on Legendary either.

The first had that mission where the Scarab head would shoot you across the map and you had to disable the tracking system which was pretty difficult, and a few other challenging missions, even on normal. I didn't feel like this was challenging at all on normal. It was still fun though.
Oh yeah, I just been playing on normal until I get the micro managing hot keys down. I did normal cuz I expected it to be easy though, which it is but I have only gotten gold rank on like 2 levels. I think I'll clean up the campaign tonight.

i actually thought the base defense level with the 3 Beach entrances and the scarab was pretty challenging, mostly just because I would move my troops to the beach and then enemies would come from the air or the swamp and it would take me too long to move my army.

That other base defense with the 3 pathways seemed really easy though.

I'm not a fan of levels where you have no base and a finite amount of troops. It doesn't feel like an RTS to me but I have only seen 1 of those so far.

Redeemed the fourth one. Thanks! My Gold expired earlier this month.

This is an old genre standby though, all the way back to the original Starcraft/Warcraft games. Think C&C even had it but not sure as it's been so many years since I played those.

I don't remember if the original C&C had it but Red Alert definitely did. Loved those Tanya missions, probably my favorite of the entire game. Come to think of it that probably should have made me realize that I loved tactics games more than RTS games.

Those packs for Gears are pretty decent. You can't craft Horde cards you don't have unlocked so a high chance at getting the legendary ones is really good. Only 400 credits with decent looking skins too.

I don't get why they keep making people register for these events to get the special rewards, but whatever. I'm away from my Xbone tonight but I'll be trying to get to at least 50 waves over the weekend. 200 waves in 4 days is a kind of tall order unless you have a full day to dedicate. A full 50 wave run is like 2 hours minimum, and the average matchmade game is lucky to hit 20 waves in 30 minutes. Though maybe this special playlist is faster. I'm just glad it's not Zelda weekend.

I officially think stockpiling credits until events is worth it now. Once you have a decent loadout for Horde you don't need as many new cards unless you're doing Insane runs. With Versus you only really need to get the bounty packs to help level faster.

Warhammer Quest is out on X1 but it's $29.99 when it's $19.99 on PSN for PS4. Anyone know why?
Without doing too much looking into it, I believe the xbox version is the "deluxe" edition which is 29.99 on steam as well. That's just a wild guess tho. Here's the steam description

The Deluxe Pack DLC Upgrade contains all of the extras in the Deluxe version that are not in the standard edition.

This DLC includes all of the extra playable characters: Archmage, Bright Wizard, Dwarf Trollslayer, Shadow Warrior, Ogre Irongut, Warrior Priest and Witch Hunter.*
You will also receive all of the Legendary Weapons: Gotrek's Axe, Reaver Bow, Slayer of Kings, Staff of Volans and Sunfang.**
Finally you also get a Dungeon Pack: Necromancers & Skeletons.

* If you have purchased any of the above prior to purchasing DLC - you will not get duplicates!
** Make sure at least 5 of your weapon/item slots are empty to accommodate these.

Thanks. I loved the mobile version. Not sure about $30 to play it on console though. Happy to have it as a future GWG though. :)

C&C most def did. A mission where you're given a set amount of units to retrieve a crate and then the infamous Commando mission where you just get the Commando.

"Keep 'em coming!"

I just completed all the objectives and story missions in the first location for the Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta and the next area's difficulty spikes dramatically. Lol, I was not ready for it.

I'm sure Microsoft would love to make everything BC, but its not solely up to them and that sucks. Unfortunately we've seen the height of the program. It is dying. It is the truth. I do not lie.
That's like saying you're dying as soon as you're born. Falling back on semantics doesn't make you correct.

Being wrong before hasn't stopped you yet, so knock yourself out kiddo. You're trading being wrong time and time again just so you can be right one time down the line. Shrewd!

BTW the achievement rarity Decimal Level update is live. Why don't we share one X1 and 1 360 one?

My rarist so far that I've seen

XBox 360: Super Street Fighter IV: Birth of the Oni: Beat Oni on the hardest setting in Arcade. 0.38% people unlocked this.

XBox One: Titanfall: Rejected! Killed an enemy with a AMPed Vortex shield deflection on Backwater. 0.17% people unlocked this.

Resident Evil 7 Don't Keep the Man Waiting

0.03%

Edit: I call bs on the rarity thing. Complete chapter 1 in Shadowrun is the most rare achievement in that game with less than 1%

God like has over 1%

The For Honor cut scenes are amazing
I'm on the Samurai chapter now. The cutscene have been nice, but playing the game alongside HW2 definitely made the cutscenes pop less. The HW2 cutscenes are up there for best ever

Also, anyone with a set of the Gears 1-Judgement games and wants to give them away let me know. I gave out my sets like 2-3 times, but my buddy just bought an X1 and hasn't played them at all

The cut scene where the Vikings going towards the Samurai beach was like whoa

Yeah, I did think the Viking cutscenes in general were pretty awesome. Looking forward to playing through the Samurai campaign and learning some of the techniques I've been failing to use as Orochi in online play. My combat strategy online is to use a lot of light attacks and keep distance and dodge, but I'm learning to incorporate heavy attacks more

The games achievement list references the Trollslayer and Warrior Priest characters, so this seems like the most likely reason.

I only got through the Knights and just started Vikings, so we'll see.

Not sure if there's a way to sort rare achievements on the Xbox, but looking through the first page on TA, came up with this:

Killer Instinct - Battle worn General Raam (winning 20 ranked matches) - 0.02%

Madden NFL 13 - Reggie White Award (As a DL, surpass Reggie White in Legacy Score) - 0.12%

Resident Evil 7 Don't Keep the Man Waiting

0.03%

It's that that odd if you think about it. While it is odd that Chapter 1 is rare and not some of the later chapters, if a person only boosts the online multiplayer without touching the single player, I could see it happening. Especially if it's a game that doesn't have a single player focus.

A handful of specially marked Kellogg's snacks sold at Walmart (including a certain type of Cheez Its and some gummies) include free Halo Wars 2 blitz packs. Was going to post an online link, but I'll be damned if I can find any info on it. Saw it a few days ago and figured it would be mentioned here, but looking at what all I missed I didn't see it mentioned. Apologies if it's a Chilean miner report.

Feral Horde event in Gears 4 until the morning of the 28th. Double class XP, new pack with weapon skins and higher chance for Epic class skill cards and Horde wave objectives for character skins. I received a free Feral pack, not sure if I got it for registering, because I bought the season pass or if everyone got one.
I got a free feral pack (got a good weapon skin) and I don't have the sp, but did register. Also, bought that last 2000 credit pack and got two UIR skins so there's a win. Time to get into horde this weekend. Too bad I work 12 hour shifts on weekends...

Too young for the Atari 7800?
Weren't there serious issues with the 7800's BC? I remember we got one and several of our favorite 2600 games didn't work. We did have a launch unit if that matters. 5200 was boss anyway.

Every village has one. Cept ours decides to bandy about with everyone instead of staying under the bridge where he belongs

Got Duke Nukem 3D 20th anniversary yesterday for free using my Bing reward points for two $5 gift cards at Gamestop. One more for the backlog!!!!
Duke WT is tempting me with my $10 eGC from MCR, but it being only half off and the question of when will I play it with my backlog are holding me back. Thoughts on the game?

got an email about 500 reward points to set bing as default on chrome and link reward account and do 1 search on bing to get points but didn't work for me
Promotions sometimes take longer for points to arrive. I know the recent survey promo stated it would take a week or two for them to post.

Anyone else having problems with fallout shelter crashing? Going back to main menu any time something happens in the vault?
I'm in the preview (not the cutting edge build with snap removed) and I get an error every time I press the home button. I have to shut down the console when I want to quit FS. Can't answer messages, accept party invites, nada, meanwhile a buddy of mine freely switches back and forth between it and World of Tanks or Warframe since FS is an app and can run while a game is running.

Gyromancer, Moon Diver, Borederlands 2, The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match,Assassin’s Creed Rogue, and Space Invaders Infinity Gene are BC today...

I thought Phil said good games. There is one, maybe 2 there. Such a troll.
KoF, ACR, BL2 and SIIG makes four really good games. Don't know about the other two. #Don'tCareAbout360BC #PlayYourDamn360s

Microsoft store is having a sale of 30%-50% off some games. It's physical only online but they did a price check for me in store and the digital copy of titanfall 2 they tested rang up at the sale price. It may be YMMV and unfortunately the sale ends today. Don't know if I'd want the digital copy of steep for $30. I have the physical copy I got for free that I could sell for the same price but think the $20 rang would be a better price to switch at.
Crap, I was in Atlanta that day (which has a B&M) and didn't know about this sale.

Shadowrun had a single player mode?

I wish they would bring over Run And Gun Basketball. I used to love dropping quarters on that game.

I remember boosting that almost 9 years ago lol. Me and boy went first and then dipped on em

I got all of them by just playing but that one though, fuck that.

Probably a combination of both. "Hey guys, thanks for spending cash, but try finishing a chapter or two once in a while." If I were a dev and someone bought my game, I'd be grateful but a little disappointed to find out most people stop playing seriously after a handful of hours.

Truth, it must be so disheartening to spend all those man hours, and at times crunch time hours, and have people not finish or even play the section that you created or helped in the game. I'm guilty of this, I mean there's just so many games to play lol.

Calm down Cheapy. Take your alternative facts to the gagcast. The only thing I have taken a stand on is: Allison Rapp being an escort/prostitute, cheapy being a 1%, and BC is dying. So far I'm batting a 1000. So I don't know how I've been wrong once.

This has to be one of the most childish posts I have seen in a while on this forum. I think what bothers most people about you is your trend to focus on the negative instead of the positive. Also, claiming you are right on something, regardless if you are or not, is a sure fire way to make people not like you. No one likes a pompous jerk. It is better to keep your thoughts to yourself 99.9% of the time in my opinion. I doubt anyone really cares what you think anyway at this point. I know I don't. I am more interested in sales and peoples honest opinions on games in this thread.

If you have Duke Nukem 20th World Tour, there's no need to backlog it. Using cheats, you can finish it in about 3 hours. If only going for achievements, probably less since you can stage select and only play the ones that have achievements.

I played through the whole game for nostalgia sake, and used the walk through walls cheat to get past the really annoying jump stages or maze-like areas.

I could see that being the case if chapter 2 wasn't at almost 90%.

jdawgg - I played 15 minutes of Duke and like a true CAG, I then backlogged it. Still plays like Duke, but I realized I just don't have that nostalgic love for the franchise. Last weekend I brought over the N64 to my buddy's place and we busted out Duke Nukem Zero Hour. Goodness that game has aged like shit. My friend agreed but he still had an ear-to-ear grin the whole time we were playing it. We then proceeded to go back to playing Goldeneye and MarioKart 64 after that
