  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Well, remember that the Kinect bundles also come with Titanfall or Forza, so you're really only paying about $60 for the Kinect, while getting a $40 game with the console.

The bundles with game go on sale somewhat often for $450. I'd wait for that unless you don't plan on using snapping, recording, or owning many digital games/apps.

 
A few thoughts on the Season Pass for Dead Rising 3, if anyone's on the fence (I've finished Episodes 1 & 2):

All the content in Eps 1 & 2 are set in the same city - there's a few new weapons/items, with one blueprint (I found) per Episode (The Beast and The Shockblaster).  Some of the achievements are tied to some rather tedious fetch quests, like find 25 items, destroy 30+ cameras - with the general tedium made worse by the theme of these quests repeated from Ep 1 to 2.  And judging by the achievements, I'm in for more of the same in 3 & 4.  IMO, the only way you'd get more than a few hours out of each episode is if you're going to 100%.  Even that is trying, as there's some questionable design choices that make them missable.  For example, in Ep. 2, I was almost to the end and decided to drive around to destroy the cameras.  But they walled off one of (at least one of) the sections of the city entirely, so I couldn't.  There's also no way to resume after you complete, you have to re-start the campaign (not sure if it's a complete re-start or more like a New Game+).

The one positive is, my save file for Dead Rising 3 was erased with an update back in December, so I was going to play through the main game again at some point to find all the blueprints.  With the DLC, at least I can play with other characters, find those same blueprints, and spend less time with the main game (as items found in the DLC appear to count in the main game) when I get back to it.

Just delete the Season Pass off your hard drive if you already had that. There's no problem with the gsme, just a conflict of the old SP.

Really the Kinect Is part of the whole system. I've been using it lately to Skype with friends, video and voice calls, aside from turning on the system or voice navigation cues. I record gameplay and upload my stuff to Youtube, my Upload cloud account is full so I'd say I've used that a lot lol. It's really off putting having something cool happen when you go back to the 360 and there's no way to record it. Again it depends if you want a camera Twitch broadcasting.

Seaman - Now that mics are included in everything, this could have a resurgence amongst the crazy indies we get.

Geometry Wars Galaxies - A good DS/Wii spin-off of the original GW that added unique levels, drones, and the gem/multiplier mechanic that was used in GW2

Retro Game Challenge - Faux-retro collection of NES clones based on Game Center CX.

Boktai for Vita/3DS - Since both of the new handhelds have cameras, there's no need for specialty hardware to sense light, so they could just do a digital-only remake.

Wish 'Xbox record that' ever worked for me. Usually tells me that the clip was recorded and then there's nothing there.

It's worked two or three times but that still puts it at like 5%. Don't know if I downloaded that manually or happened automatically at some point but it's been on the system as long as I can remember.

Usually new games don't work for me. You have to do a hard reset or wait a day. It is annoying, especially when you think you saved a ton of clips, but actually didn't.

It's a built-in app. When you tell the Xbox to record something, it's temporary (IDK how long it lasts). I know you have to go in and manually save the clip (after editing, if desired) for it to be permanent. It's almost always been Forza and something crazy that happened so I go and immediately check after the race and nothing. I care enough to want it to work but not enough to actually have to put any effort into it.

I think it's game related as that has happened to me but it's usually Trials Fusion that does nothing. Happened in the beginning launch days of Watch Dogs.
 
fuck all of these other remakes. Where is my Shenmue HD Sega?!??!? I'm in the mood to spend copious amounts of time playing bar games and collecting toy capsules in HD.

I downloaded some dlc, how do you actually download the content?

Does it just come with updates or its automatically downloaded or how does it work?

It was some forza dlc

Is it just me or GwG games seem to show their original price when I delete them? I can always go back to my download history and grab it back, but it's bizarre since non-GwG but still GoD games will show the Redownload button instead. It's only been happening for a couple weeks now.

Dance of Pales from Sotn is good (as all it's OST), but I prefer Wood carving partita. Also, instead of Build That Wall, the mixed ending theme is more beautiful imo, Set Sail, Coming Home.

Also, Lunar.

As far as I knew it is only the ONLINE saves that are transferring over. Everyone has been saying single player carries over but that is definitely NOT handled by rockstar social club and in the E3 announcement they only referenced GTA Online. I have a feeling a lot of people are in for a rude awakening.

 
Grabbed REvelations because I enjoyed it on the 3DS. Raid mode is great fun. Anyone have a link to a list of the current item gift codes? All the lists I find are from a year ago and most are expired.

 
I completely suck at SF IV and all its iterations but for some reason I went and bought Ultra SF IV. I don't even know if I'll ever get around to playing it as its not even high on my list of backlog priorities and I've been doing 99% of my gaming on the Xbox One lately, the only time I switch back to 360 is to play The Walking Dead Season Two and The Wolf Among Us.

The next few months look to be slower than a turtle gone off purple syrup so maybe I'll get around to it this summer sometime.

I wish they would make an HD version of Knights of the Old Republic (surprise!)

No re-cordings of music or dialogue, no added multiplayer features, just 1080p in 16:9. I just want to watch Bastila twirl the ol' lightsaber in her underwear in HD, is that so wrong? (I'm not the only person who played through it with her unclothed, am I? Well, am I? Hello?)

Oh, and keep KotOR II dead and buried, where it belongs.

I got the exact same thing today.. I swear I got the points before they announced that whole thing and that they'd be good.. but now I have $85 I have to spend by July 16th and there's nothing that I even want.

Anyone know if Dark Souls 2 DLC will get a season pass on Xbox?

Yes, it will be $15.00 for all three chapters.

 
I can't recall the site, nor do i have a link. It also mentioned that each chapter will be $10.00 separately and that the season pass would be $15.00, with each chapter being released within a 15 day or 1 month span, can't remember which one was it.
