This thread will maintain a list of all current and upcoming sales and markdowns on the Xbox Live Marketplace / Xbox Games Store for the USA.  YMMV in other regions.  If non-US sales are listed, they will be marked with their applicable region(s).

Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

I wish they would make an HD version of Knights of the Old Republic (surprise!)

No re-cordings of music or dialogue, no added multiplayer features, just 1080p in 16:9. I just want to watch Bastila twirl the ol' lightsaber in her underwear in HD, is that so wrong? (I'm not the only person who played through it with her unclothed, am I? Well, am I? Hello?)

Oh, and keep KotOR II dead and buried, where it belongs.
Or you just play both on PC with all the fan patches and get everything you want.

THIS. So fuck ing this. I remember when I played KOTOR and I hit that twist, I was up in the mountains with no phone signal and no one coming to visit in the next 6+ hours. What was a guy to do in that moment?!?!?!

But really, looking forward to trying out Charlie Murder and Street Fighter 4 Ultra Mega Super Duper Kick Ass Cash In Burly EX +++ Edition for free.

Greatest plot twist in gaming history, in my opinion. After the shock wore off, I felt so stupid for not figuring it out myself; all the time it was right there in front of me. Fortunately, I had someone next to me to pick my jaw up off the floor when it happened.

Can anyone recommend a good fighting controller that isn't really expensive but also doesn't seem too cheap with the quality of it?  I tried playing though Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting a few weeks ago and the 360 controller just wasn't working well enough.  I'd prefer a controller that has turbo and responsive joysticks or pad, but whenever I've looked this up I either see people recommending really expensive controllers, or fighting pads, which I just don't want to get.

Agreed. Just the right time in my life, being naive or whatver it's called as I didn't play too many RPGs before that so other that Ogre Battle on the 64 so.........yeah. Great game.

I'm the exact opposite. KOTOR II needs an HD remake and actually needs to be finished this time.

Evo is coming up soon. There will be sales on sticks. You will probably be able to get a good one for $70-$90.

Come on. KotOR 2 wasn't that bad! I think the fact that KotOR 1 was so good made the second one seem bad in comparison. If it was a standalone SW game or was the first KotOR, it wouldn't haven't been criticized as much as it has.

The fight pads were $40 new when they first came out. As for sticks, they will be higher or MUCH higher based on what you consider really expensive. As previously mentioned, there are deals usually around tournament weekends, so watch for those.

I got the exact same thing today.. I swear I got the points before they announced that whole thing and that they'd be good.. but now I have $85 I have to spend by July 16th and there's nothing that I even want.

Anyone know if Dark Souls 2 DLC will get a season pass on Xbox?
I did as well. I have 50 to spend. Kind of peeved I am forced to spend my cash. I have become to picky with prices, and the sales have been meh for me. I will probably end up buying dead rising 3 content, season pass. Unless it sucks. I haven't checked reviews.

Trying to decide if I should get Resident Evil Revelations for $16.98 (Australia Price). Still good at this price?
It's good, IMO. It's tense like the first couple games without the tanky controls. It's less action-y than 4,5 & 6 without the boulder punching. I picked it up a few days ago from the sale and haven't made it that far but it does remind me more of the older RE games, which I like a lot.

You lost me at PC.

Seriously though, it hadn't occurred to me as I haven't played hardly anything on PC since the days of Duke 3D, Tribes, and Tiberian Sun. I suppose I could give it a go.
Games like that where there were issues but are greatly loved and had a PC release almost always end up getting crazy fan support and user patches, cut content finished and put back in place, high res updates etc.

Nope. It's the full game. Not sure why it's doing it. I deleted it and will redownload it tomorrow.
That's super weird, I downloaded it and started playing right away

I want another one of those super sales this week!! The one where it changes daily.

Has anyone tried that 500gb slim hard drive from amazon? I thought 320 was the max size? Was wondering if it works or not?

Welp, guess who caved and bought a one.

Great way to start a generation picking up dead rising 3 (complete) and Peggle 2 with this week's sale.

Titanfall digital code and kinect sports included didn't hurt either.

Of course with all of that I ended up spending most of the night playing Max. I'm surprised by how much fun that game is.

I had Rivals, and I'll say that you're better-off trading it to Best Buy for $30 ($32 with GCU). The tracking's inconsistent as heck on Target Shooting and Rock Climbing, with the latter being almost unplayable because of how frustrating it is. It's a fun game when it works, but that's only about 60-70% of the time on the good games (tennis, bowling).

Fingers crossed for a sale full of epicness.

Stick of Truth, Injustice, Amazing Spidey 1, GOW:Judgment or Metro:LL @ 50% off is on my wishlist

Also wouldn't mind of ME or Dragon Age was on sale.

Wouldn't be surprised of SFxTekken went on sale.

It should automatically start when you play the game. It's something like a 4GB download. Maybe it didn't finish yet. Check to see if you can use any of the new characters.

Thank you. I didn't find the new characters, but i checked the hard drive and there was an error with the add-on, so i deleted and redownloading it right now. Thanks. Also, the add on is 1.9 GB, so for those interested in USF4 and running on space issues thw whole game and update is around 8 GB.

i agree with this. The rock climbing was so frustratingly bad that I stopped playing because of it (couldn't advance any further in the story). The tracking on other events is decent but not spot on. I'd pick it up again in the future for $15 or less.

Huh, from what I played Rock Climbing was actually decent enough, I thought it controlled pretty well and worked out for me. Soccer on the other hand gave me a lot of problems, and then it seemed like bowling was a little messed up for me as well. Outside of that though I had enough fun with the game, seems like a good pack in (which it probably should have been right away though).

Thinking about getting DR3 Season Pass, even though I don't even have DR3 or an XB1 at this point. Might have to just hold out for a 50% off sale when I get around to buying the system and game.

Starting to get a growing backlog for a system I don't even have yet. Gotta love it.

Does XBLDB have the ability to track XB1 price changes by any chance? I wasn't sure if it had the capability.

Rock climbing worked when climbing slow, but later in the game you have to speed up to win.

I thought the biggest problem with Rivals is that they took out mini games. Trying to beat a friend's score was fun as bowls.

I got Rivals to play with my family and was kind of annoyed that it forces the "training" in a specific sports. Opened it up last night so we could bowl.

Guess there's no way around it? You have to go through and "unlock" each sport?

So many people(myself included) were ready for a week of great sales since it was E3 week and we got a tiny handful of items on sale, some of which were repeats. I advise everyone to not get their hopes up. The blind dates lately have been crap(for me at least). I'm ordering pizza for dinner and not even bothering shaving tonight.

Dear Diary.....

Keep your chin up and keep putting yourself out there. Don't give up. You'll find happiness one day...

I did a few weeks ago when they price-matched Fry's anniversary sale and just finally set it up last Saturday. DL Max which is fun and the puzzles haven't been too difficult, KI, Halo SA, and the fitness one. Good thing I did it this past weekend since my Gold expired last evening. I was able to dl SFIV and Charlie Murder also. I'm hoping they give us two One games a month so I don't have to think about buying anything unless I really want it.

Question: I woke up this morning and heard a buzzing sound. Found out it was the power brick for the One. I didn't notice this when I was playing last Sat. Anyone notice this with theirs?

Now, I'm thinking of buying a 360 E so it'll match my One but I probably won't.

I don't expect much tonight/next week because the big summer blowout is coming in a couple weeks.

Bowling's a pain to get the spin on. However, I discovered that the game DOESN'T want a legitimate bowling motion. I'd kind of cross my hands a little when I did a semi-legitimate roll, and it got confused, started following the wrong hand, then released the ball awkwardly. I also noticed that the Kinect's range on that game is bad (too short). You have to bowl at the hip for it to track your arm properly, as tilting the Kinect down to see you crouch in your bowling motion makes it not see your head and throw a fit.

Tell me more about this "blowout."

Seriously, the Steam Summer Sale's coming in about 3 days. Microsoft should also do a digital sale around that time (guessing this weekend or next Monday), but the Bone sales will be crap like always, so I'll probably try to grab Fallout 3 and New Vegas on Steam, along with another couple of games, and that'll be it. If GameStop does a buy 2, get 1 free, and has decent Bone sale prices for games, I might snag a few games (wouldn't mind getting Tomb Raider, Ryse, and Wolfenstein). I doubt Best Buy has another such sale, but that'd be a welcome surprise (get rewards points).

So Sleeping Dogs is coming to PS4/X1 soon, possibly Fall. Anyone planning on double dipping as this was a GWG freebie previously?

Also, Rise of the Tomb Raider is listed on Amazon for the 360/PS3. I hope that's a true leak as I don't plan on getting an Xbox One anytime soon

I bought the SP for DR3. The stories are cool but very short. And a lot of the achievements are based on collecting 30-40 random items that are just a fucking chore to complete.
