I'm surprised that I only will be buying one game for all of the "deals" they have listed for the rest of the countdown list. I got Bastion and thought they started really strong, but the rest to me is kinda crappy. I know alot of people will probably be happy with some of the dlc, but I don't normally buy dlc for any game unless it is a game that I truely love such as RDR, Borderlands and Fallout(which I already had from previous sales). I normally do not complain about certain deals because it seems like too much self-entitlement for me but this to me is crap. Every other year I bought ALOT of things, this year just one game for me. At least I can save points for the games I wanted to go on sale soemtime next year. :( That is all I'm done complaining now. lol

gears 3 season pass is going to be on sale? and i thought buying it early at it's "discounted" price was supposed to be the sale on it originally... d'oh.

not much for me, might finally grab halo reach defiant map pack and the newer one if its on sale, maybe fruit ninja and maybe some sonic xbla games (already have most of them except like one of the classic ones (cant remember which one) and sonic 4. but not really anything must buy on that list. there's still probably going to be extra things on sale christmas / new years week tho, so there's that to look forward to
 
I really hope that german list is wrong. I really don't want to think that I bought the season pass for gears to early. Though, Raams Shadow DLC was a blast.
 
Looking forward to the Sonic list, even if just to buy some overpriced Avatar crap at half off.
Is 3rd Strike really worth 600 points? Is it fairly enhanced or just a straight port?
 
Bummer if the leaked list is real. I either already have everything or do not want the remainder of what's on that list.

Hopefully, we'll get some extra 1 day Christmas deals. Hoping for Magic expansions, Kill All Orcs expansions, and Trine 2 to go on sale. Otherwise, looks like I'm waiting to spend my points.

Looks like I'm not getting anything at all! I still can't believe that MS won't throw a few more XBLA games in there, everything on that list is for such a niche audience (fight game fans, Kinect owners, game specific DLC). They can't be that stupid creating these deals, can they???

Unfortunately MS already has my money. I stockpiled about 4000 points for this sale. I mean, they'll get used eventually. But not any time soon if that list holds true.

Major said the long-term deals will go to January 2, but I don't think the daily deals will go beyond the 31st. There are 12 days of deals listed on the dashboard, and this list would account for all 12 days.
 
MS should really do some Steam-like deals, and throw us a bone on some less popular games for 75% - 90% off. I'd bite for 100 to 400 points on some older titles.
 
Maybe games like Toy Soldiers, Crimson Alliance, and From Dust aren't available in Germany and therefore aren't on that list? Any way to check this?

What kills me about that list is, using my better judgment developed during the few years of DOTW and other discounts (science!), virtually all of it is bound to be discounted again before too much time has elapsed. Though I guess the same could be said about the majority of the markdowns during this promotion last year too, given that the emphasis is big-name items.

Same here(somewhat jokingly)....if it does go on sale, my stance on season passes will change drastically. I'll now wait for season passes to go on sale instead of buying day 1. Hell, Mortal Kombat, LA Noire and now the Gears pass will have been on sale?

I can wait a few months for the passes to go on sale. I got a big backlog, so I can be patientt

I mean yeah I would like some more XBLA game deals (So far I have only gotten Bastion and ITSP). Since I am not interested in Kinect XBLA games (Don't have a Kinect and don't really care for one) it just means I can get ahead on the Gears 3 Season Pass (I hope) and Black Ops map packs. Last year, I got a good amount of XBLA and DLC from the sale.

games i plan to buy sooner or later, but was waiting for a deal which looks like it won't come soon, and i don't know if i can hold out much longer

castle crashers - 1200
stubs the zombie - 1200
resident evil 4 - 1600
crysis - 1600
rez hd - 800
toy soldiers cold war - 1200
guardian heroes - 800
iron brigade/trenched - 1200

am i crazy to pay full price for any of these?
 
I'm willing to bet the house (it's my mothers house) that Gears of War 3 season pass WILL be on sale. one because I think epic is out to get me and make me feel stupid every time i buy something from them. and two being a more logical reason, several other season passes have been on sale already this month, so why not? i think if forza 4 season pass happens it'll further solidify it as fact that gears of war season pass will be on sale, and depending on how much off the forza 4 one is, that could indicate the percent off for the gears pass too.

Forza 4 has a season pass? How much is it (Or is it the same as the GoW 3 Season Pass)?
 
To anyone holding out on Half-Minute Hero, you should just buy that game. It doesn't seem to be going on sale and it's probably my XBLA GOTY.

I don't have FO3, FO:NV, Gears 3 (just can't get into the Gears franchise), Forza, or any CoD except MW2 on PS3. I have Halo Reach but don't really like it (I'm not an FPS guy) and already have the only RDR DLC I want. And no Kinect. So I'm seeing no redeeming qualities to these daily deals at all. (I would have bought Bastion but already own it)

Looking back, I bought 5 games from last years sale (Hydro Thunder, Lara Croft, ME2 DLC, some cheap old Sonic games, and Castlevania HOD) and would have gotten Perfect Dark and Limbo if I didn't already own them. That's 7/12 days last year that would have been good for me, versus 1/12 this year.

Also, what a waste of a day. Wasn't the the theme for today Fighting Games? This could have been on sale alongside Deadliest Warrior & Mortal Kombat.

Castle Crashers would be crazy because it will drop again AND it's not worth 1200. I don't think I'd pay more than 400 for it (played it at my cousins, don't get what all the fuss is about).

I think RE4/Crysis would be okay to buy, but if they do ever go on sale, they may drop up to $10, which is a nice big discount that I'm sure you'd kick yourself over.

Toy Soldiers: CW sale has to be coming soon. I think you'd be safe for a couple more months on Guardian Heroes and Iron Brigade.

Whoa whoa whoa. Really? Castle Crasher has to be one of the only games on the XBLA worth the 1200. If you didn't like it, I totally get you. It has a ton of content though. A relatively long campaign, bunch of characters, online modes, 4-player co-op.
 
Welp, if the list holds true then I'm just going to get ITSP on the 2nd and save my points for future sales.

Edit: I agree about castle crashers being overhyped. Bought it on sale a while back. Played it a few times with the nephews, really dont get why everyone is so gaga over it.

Quick question: Does Street Fighter III: Online edition have a replay system where I can see other people replay like Super Street Fighter 4? I like to record other people replay and then post them on a youtube channel.

If the rest of that rumored list is true then unless next week's DOTW is anything, I am done for the year.

Over the last 2 years I think there was a total of 2-3 days when I didn't get something.
And then this year........... Well, at least there was Bastion.
