Xbox One - General Discussion Thread

So i have a logitech k400 keyboard with touchpad built in but only the keyboard works on the x1. Anyone figure out how to get touchpad working?
I guess you could write mouse drivers for the Xbox One. Come on, is this your first time playing a console game?

To provide a slightly more helpful answer, you could get a Titan One and use the touchpad that way, but it's not an ideal solution.

So im a little pissed off right now. I started up Halo so it would install and download the updates and everything to be ready when I came home. I come home, boot up the system, go to play Halo, and its installing it all over again and I can't play it. Wtf happened? lol

For some reason it told me to free up space but all I even have installed on here is Sunset Overdrive lol.

Well BF4, PvZ:GW & Zoo Tycoon are Uninstalled and Dragon Age: Inquisition is installed leaving 6.6 GB free on my One. Let the good times roll.

Nope, it's definitely dated. The 2nd is much better. It reminds me of Gears of War trilogy, to be honest. I hated the first one.

Updating the Terms of Service I think.

Got into a matchmaking game of Halo pretty quickly last night. I guess the update helped! But I invited a dude to my in-game party and he couldn't get in after 2 tries. Has anyone else had similar trouble post-update?

we had that issue the other day. I couldn't join the lobby because of a connection failed issue but when I hosted the game instead, it worked fine. No idea what the problem was.

Sunset Overdrive 24 hour access for gold members.

http://majornelson.com/2014/11/21/sunset-overdrive-free-xbox-live-gold-members-saturday/?linkId=10668847

"Beginning Saturday, November 22nd at 12.01 Eastern Time, Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will get to play Sunset Overdrive for free for 24 hours. This is the full game; players will earn achievements and be able to save how far they progress during that 24 hour span. If you decide to purchase the game at a later point, you will be able to start again right where you left off."

SO is my GOTY and its great that more people will get to play and probably beat it for free, but I cant help but feel that the game must have sold really poorly for them to do this. Maybe Im wrong, who knows.

Got that XBOX ONE email also. It says I have 1383 hours spent on XB1 XBOX Live (5%), 19,555 GS on XB1 (1%), unlocked 845 achievements on XB1 (1%).

Not bad, considering I haven't played much on my XB1 besides Madden these last couple months and I definitely haven't been unlocking any achievements.

That's very cool. But it means activating my Gold now and don't have any other games on the horizon, with Destiny still holding most of my attention.

I should set up my ONE first, then decide

Does the Xbox count time that it is in low power mode?  It says I have almost 1,500 hours of gameplay, and considering i only have about 12 games with the biggest hour count being around 40, I dont see that as possible.

I got an e-mail that I got a bunch of stats that I know arent right since I don't own and never played almost all the games lol.

I had a console at launch that i traded in and i wiped the system clean but I guess my account is still tied to it or something?

I sold my 360 last year and had it wiped... but I keep getting emails from MS regarding a gamertag I have no idea about.... seems like I'm just like you.

I didn't get a stats email but I did get a code for some free crap in SSO. Hopefully I'm eligible for the drawings they are doing, though I'm sure chances are pretty slim I would win anything.

Thanks. I've been following the deals for a long time. Still, that's a decent chunk of money, and Christmas season is upon us. I have to wait.
Same here. My drive is pretty full but I'm going to wait it out. I can delete a handful of the shitty GWG game to get me by until after Christmas. Luckily hdd prices usually only go down!

Ditto

Nice my email says I'm top 10% in gaming hours (943) and top 5% in gamerscore (6005). I wonder how my offline stats affect this lol.

Not by much.
Which is sad considering there was more than a decade gap between the two.

Even beyond nostalgia, though, Halo 1 is still very playable in today's day and age and has a better single player than many other modern FPS games.

No way. The horrid level design alone makes it a worse shooter. This sums it up nicely:

It's not a major issue honestly.

Some of the plot twists in the game is what made Halo:CE so popular.

Got a message from XBL this morning saying (paraphrasing) - thanks for being an early adopter, you'll be getting a code for LIMBO when it releases.

So tell me why i bought the ssod bundle again if theyre just giving it away anyway? Anyway can someone explain why u get more lag on the x1 version of fifa 15 then the ps4 version? I have an open nat on x1 and did absolutely nothing network wise on ps4. Well they gave me outfits code. That totally makes up for buying a bundle with a game i could have got free anyway and factored the $60 into buying decision
