The 2013-14 NFL Thread

I cannot believe the Cowboys blew that game. Well, I actually can believe it, but it still was a ridiculous choke job.

Crazy game for Megatron. 329 receiving yards. The single game record is 336.

And Brian Billick just called Dez Bryant a spoiled child. LOL.

Browns put up a better fight than I thought, but they just could not get any game going.

Lions outright stole that game from Dallas, especially with Stafford's trickeration.

It will be kinda interesting to see what the Ram's first Monday Night Home Game since 2006 is going to be like... They seriously couldn't have picked a worse time with Game 5 of the World Series at Busch Stadium which is literally less than a mile down the street.

I'll be watching the World Series, but still... Weird.

Did somebody resurrect Veteran's Stadium and move it to Denver? Every other play somebody is limping off.

Wow. Peyton played the Redskins D hard at the start of the 4th.

Sheesh, the Redskins just fell apart in the 4th quarter. Embarrassing.

The Browns might have beaten the Chiefs if it weren't for Davone Bess. This was a good beginning for Jason Campbell, but they need somebody else to be the #3 WR until Bess gets his act together.

Going conservative down the stretch was so stupid. I don't know why they ran the ball after the Lions turned it over.
because without the holding play they would have gotten the ball back with ~20 seconds left, if they even got the ball back had they not sucked on their run plays. amazing ending to a great game though.

Giants only 2 games out with 8 to play. We can do this! LOL!!
Raiders after the bye week which is a winnable game. If things shake out our way, we should be 1 game out in the loss column after week 10 with the cowboys paying us a visit in week 12. Playoff bound for sure :whee: .

as a Raiders fan, I will say its definitely a winnable game for the Giants. The Raiders struggle when they go to the East Coast and tend to lose.

It speaks volumes of the sad state of the NFC East that the Giants are 2 games out of first. Caught the end of that Cowboys/Lions game and was definitely thrilled to see the 'Boys collapse. The Giants won't be catching them, because they have too many tough games left, but it would be nice to see them have to sweat it out for the rest of the year, rather than cruise into the playoffs.

I loved seeing The Lions come back and win that game yesterday. It's always nice when my Packers and Lions win on the same day. :D

Seriously, Fisher. You're down at the goal line because of your running game (specifically that of Lacey) yet you go pass at the end?

Speaking of which, what exactly was that throw, Clemens?

I think Stacy was only back in as a decoy on that play. He looked pretty hobbled on the sideline after that good run he made earlier in the driver. I honestly don't think any playcall Fisher made down there would have worked. The Rams had little change of getting the ball into the endzone.

If Stacey was only in as a decoy, maybe run play-action instead?
The way they were getting pressure on Clemens, I don't think they wanted him to have to hold the ball any longer than needed. I think they put Stacy in, hoping for a personal advantage to be created somewhere. Don't get me wrong: it all looked like crap and worked as such. Just my opinion as to why Stacy didn't run it.

Josh Gordon is an infraction away from a year long ban, himself.
Yet he wasn't arrested for DUI with a .24 BAC weeks after being drafted with character issues being a major concern. Justin's on another level of stupidity for what he's done, as he even admitted that he didn't take advantage of the tools provided to get over his issues.

This is a very strange SD/WSH game. SD gets a TAINT in the end zone, Griffin laterals to Moss for a big gain, and SD seemed to tip every other pass in the first half.

Chris Johnson finally with a big game and carrying the Titans to a win. Locker looks jittery in the pocket again, but I guess I would be too if I had been rushed back from a big injury. Just hope it doesn't screw up his development.

If there was ever a game where both teams deserve to lose its Minny/dallas

Ap cant catch a break, all the work he does only for something stupid like a missed extra point attempt and  a defense that all of sudden doesn't  play as good as they did the previous 2 quarters.

The curse of having Jason garret as your coach the more you win the more his job is safe and your draft pick gets shittier.

Unless Ryan Matthews is hurt i have no idea why Mccoy didn't use him. Literally 4 attempts for the end zone and couldn't manage to get it.

Good Win.  Very good win.  That Defensive Stand at the end, MAGNIFICENT!  I thought we were dead for sure.  Not a good day for RG3, but man, did he pull through on that final drive.  It sucks that we started him through the bye though, because I think if we started Cousins through then, we'd be in a much better position than we are right now.

As for the Panthers.  A very sketchy game by Cam with those 2 first half interceptions, not to mention the overthrows all game.  The defense definitely won the game for Carolina today, with the pick-6 being the showcase.  They look a lot different than they did a few weeks ago, almost confident, like they know they're going to win from week to week.

Jason Campbell is taken out by Haloti Ngata with a late hit on the slide, so Brandon Weeden is back in to do nothing until Jason's fate is decided. The hit didn't seem nearly as bad as the one that took out Brian Hoyer in the Buffalo game.

I've been telling people all year Seattle hasn't looked that good this year. I still expect them to win this game, even though this is a rather embarrassing start to it.

So, Weeden comes in and the Browns O-line becomes turnstiles, but when Campbell comes back in they are suddenly a brick wall? Do they hate the old man that much?

Jason Campbell is back in and it's the excellent play of Davone Bess that has gotten them to a 14-3 lead early on. It's great that he has bounced back after a horrid game last week that cost them a win.
