To reiterate what Foxhack and MysterD said if you can get Deadly Premonition for cheap prepare to jump through hoops to get the game working it took me a couple of hours to get it to run by then I moved on to another game out of frustration.
Buying cheap should be the only way anyone deciding to play this should buy it...

EDIT:

...until its nasty technical issues get stomped-out officially or by a modder.

Hell, I'd even love to see someone take all the assets and port it to another engine or something.

Regarding Blob From Space keys:

So WGN held 2 promotions for Blob In Space.

One of those involved getting the game for free along with some exclusive DLC once it was released. We're currently sending out Steam keys for the game to those who entered and we will give the DLC once it's available.

We also had a widget where anyone could try out the beta on Desura. This promotion was for Desura only.
Got mine, thanks coral.

Just checked my email.

After voting in the Joystick awards and NOT getting my promised XCom: Enemy Unknown voucher, they instead sent me a code to get 30% off Beyond Earth and a 25% off "loyalty" code on anything in the store.  It doesn't say if the loyalty code works on stuff already on sale.

And both expire in ten days.

Thanks f#$%ers.  /sarcasm

Here is the Beyond Earth code if anybody wants it:  IG6Y4W-ZMLOL3-DQO129

Sooooooo Steam is now listing prices in Mexican Pesos.

Everything seems to be 15 to 25% cheaper. Cheaper than Brazil.

And it doesn't seem to have region locks.

Anyone know why the IGBwiki is listing a Key Added for Man in a Maze: Deathmatch from the LazyGuys Night Sky bundle, but the Lazyguys site doesn't say anything about a key going out? I never received an email from them either, and they've been really good/timely about sending them out.

"The John Wick film is already generating rave reviews and has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes"

Yeah, that's not gonna last.
If I remember right when I went to see Predators(2010) it had a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. By the time I exited the theater it had a 10%. Since then It's climbed back to a 64%. I actually enjoyed that movie quite a lot.

Update on the Mexican prices:

Looks like Ubisoft applied a straight 1 dollar = 10 peso conversion for most games, so stuff that's 10 USD is 100 pesos. The Crew and Far Cry 4, which are 59.99, cost 590 pesos ($43 at current exchange values.) So they're cheaper in Mexico.

Capcom, on the other hand, is weird. Donte May Cry and Dead Rising 3 are way more expensive ($50 USD versus 899 MXN (66 USD)); Bionic Commando Rearmed and Duck Tales are using a 1 USD = 13 MXN formula (that's more or less the current exchange rate) so they're the same price. Devil's Dare and Strider are using the 1 USD = 10 MXN price Ubisoft is using. So they raised the prices on their big franchises, kept the mid tier stuff priced the same across territories, and the low budget stuff is cheaper.

Activision gonna Activision. The older Call of Duty games are about $14 instead of $20, Modern Warfare 3 is $26 instead of $40, and Advanced Warfare is... $73 instead of $60.

Yes.

It's eccentric, bizarre, hilarious, ridiculous, weird, and surreal.

Gamers who wanted an open-world game meeting-up w/ Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Seven (movie), and any David Lynch film should make sure they give this game a chance when it's cheap.

Just, one thing: it can be a royal pain-in-the-ass to get it running half-way decent, since it's one of the worst PC ports ever put together. It might even be worst than Bully PC, on the technical side of things. If you can get those problems down to a minimum - you're in for a hell of a ride.
Have you tried the GoG version? (aka the DRM-free version)? :whistle2:

It wasn't on GOG, back when I bought it.

EDIT:

Actually, just checked - I think GOG + Steam might've came out same day (Oct 29th, 2013).

Thing is - it might've been a hell of a lot cheaper to get Steam-version, back when I did - b/c I bought it in a bundle somewhere.

Yep It was in an Indie Gala. Nicest surprise bonus ever.

One hour left of the Paranautical Activity Steam key raffle for charity bonanza!

To enter (and help support some kids), just swing by my Extra Life page and donate! Every dollar goes to Seattle Children's Hospital, and each dollar gets you an entry into the best/worst raffle of all time: win the first game ever removed from Steam after its creator threatened to kill Gaben! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

So, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a thing now... I suspect this is the "complete" game whereas its predecessor was just a glorified demo, quickly bundled after a few days from release to further support this theory.

http://youtu.be/lVPONdZBh6s

It was not too bad per se, a quite weird and original take on tower defense games, but it felt very shallow and empty in the end. Plus, all those overly exaggerated Youtubers claiming it was "OMG teh scaaaariest gaem evah!!!1!" didn't exactly help the cause, in my opinion.

That said, I'd like to know if they somehow refined the formula in this "sequel", as it was pretty interesting to begin with.

That we know of. I mean, for all we know, he could have received death threats from game devs through private e-mail, telegram, or in person before.

This is a special occasion, we say. Oh, no, it's actually just Tuesday, says GabeN.

A monkey could crawl out of my butt and replace Donald Trump as the world's smelliest weasel.

Huh, just got one of the first foils for Sinister City.  How much are people realistically going to pay for this? I listed it at $3.

(Sidenote: two foils in two days, I'm on a roll!)

Got a question  what does this mean cause i think  i might be overthinking it

Card drops earned: 5
Drops earned by purchasing the game: 5
Card drops received: 0
You can get 5 more trading cards by playing Nimble Quest

So if means if you buy it on STEAM you get 5 cards off the back and can earn another 5 cards. or  you get 5 cards total. Cause i was thinking it was the first, but just got it and says i have 0 cards

glad i only paid 49 cents for it. fun game should get  25 cents back in cards .. was thinking i would got 5 just for buying it and 5  for  playing it  but guess not :(. really no reason to buy games off steam

I was looking at the wording of that just the other day and thinking the same thing. They might want to rephrase that so it is a little more clear. I mean...I understand how the process works...but they way it is worded there CAN be a little confusing.

You bought the game (i.e. purchased from Steam, Humble, got the Steam key in a bundle and redeemed it to your account, etc.) so you have "earned" (re: free card drops allowed) the ability to have cards "drop" (randomly added to your inventory by playing said game).

You now have to play the game. After you play the game for a random? period of time, a random card for that game will drop into your inventory. As you keep playing the game, additional cards will drop. Once you hit the "Card drops earned" amount, the only way you can get additional cards for this game is to buy them from the Steam marketplace or trade for them in a Steam Trade window.

Regarding "playing" a game. Legend has it that there are maybe one or two applications that let you gain cards "in the background" without you having to actively play a game (note actively playing a game violates TrueCAG directive 4.32.121) while you do more important things like surfing for porn or posting long explanations of how card drops work.

Got it?

Are you suggesting Dragon Age 2 was removed from the Steam store because John Riccitiello sent Gabe Newell a death threat?

Because that's what I'm suggesting.

then they should just removed the top thing since they are just repeating themself. Also there is no way to see how many cards drops there is before you buy the game (is there) so why even post how many you earn if you buy it, if you can only see the page after you buy it

Why do you care how many card drops a game has if you don't own it? Are you only buying games that have lots of cards? Are you trying to corner the market on Steam cards a la Lex-Luthor, sink the west coast of California into the ocean type of thing?

So are you saying if I just blew $5 GabeNDollas on Rage I should pony up for the DLC with some more GabeNDollas? Praise GabeN!
I thought RAGE was okay although the main game ends abruptly -- not to say it's short, the length is fine it's just that the narrative accelerates out of nowhere and the ending is fairly unsatisfactory. Apparently the DLC is a better 'ending.' Never got it because after I was done with RAGE I didn't really have the desire to go back or continue. For a first time player, though, I'm sure it's worth it to pick up Scorchers.

Yep, Scorchers' story is actually self-contained and actually has an end to it.

And it actually has a worthwhile ending boss-fight, as well!

If you're looking for a continuation + closure from RAGE's base-game, expect none!

Scorchers DLC has nothing to do w/ the RAGE base-game's main story.

The number of drops are the total cards for a badge / 2 rounded up. You're thinking about this too hard though. Cards from bundle games won't get a whole lot in general but it adds up, just hoard your card money until the big sales.

Scorchers doesn't do anything to help with the seemingly random "ending" of the base game. Gameplay of rage is fun, but if you pay attention to the story at all it'll probably really aggravate you

After years and years of hype I'm sure they had to rush it out the door.  You go from ark survivor to hero of the resistance in a matter of hours without much of an explanation other than 'these are the bad guys.'  The 'main' antagonist isn't mentioned until the last 20% or so of the game and you never actually encounter him.  Compared to the other ruins/maps the Authority base was very bland and, yes, the wave defense ending without any kind of boss fight leaves you wondering what the hell they were thinking.

They tried to do too much with the racing, mini-games, psuedo-arpg aspects (quests, loot), the co-op mode, etc. -- time that would have been better spent fleshing out the main single player narrative.
