Destiny (PS3/PS4) Official Thread

Last night was a horrible night, got nothing from the NFs (thunder lord, purple engram and another legendary) granted all runs were 8 mins or less.

Went to the PoE 32 and we all backed out after the 1st round.  Just didn't feel like playing =| (and a guy keeps nagging to do Crota...f that. 75 clears I don't want to do that freaking Raid ever again)

 
Well, so much for my plans... only got 1 NF done (pulled Hardlight) when got an invite to do IB.

Not exactly craving that but when you get a chance to roll in 5-6 deep, you go man :twoguns: .

Sucky games for me but got my 'lock nearly to Rank 2 (50pts shy) then switched to my hunter and cruised past Rank 2.  Skipped over my titan.

Only plan to push to Rank 3, then stop.  But we'll see... might get bored and hop back into it later in the week.

I think its a toss up between Bow and Shotty. Depends on what you like. I think the bow is the best, but the shotty can be fun in both pvp and pve. But id give the overall edge to the bow. But the shotty is nice if you dont like sniping. The sidearm is crap.

I am aFrostyONE and I approve of this entire message. :cool:

Personally like the Bow more than the Lord of Wolves... but that might be because it doesn't have the same range as the ones the fallen captains are using :bomb: (though I admit it would've broken PvP if it did have that sorta range).

I still have to finish my cipher from like a month or so ago (can't even remember). Just 100 points shy, but just too lazy.

Tried sniping last night and man it is way harder than it seems.

Also, how's batman :whistle2: ?

Nightfall results: got my second Truth, my 6th Patience and Time, and some random assault rifle (rude awakening).

My god Witcher 3 is gigantic. I just got into Novigrad and it's like a medieval version of GTA 5.

 
Argh! Frickin IB was a Lag-fest last night.  Seemed like almost every match paired us against teams with laggers.

The more this happens, the less I want to play Destiny.

It's to the point where crucible is just a broken mess filled with exploiters.

I got fed up and left to finish my NF's then switched over to my X1 for some other games.

Yeah its intense, and you haven't been to the other places yet. Also that freaking Gwent game is addicting. I haven't progressed in the game at all since I keep looking for more cards to add to my deck and people to play against. So far I won against everyone in Velen and yesterday beat everyone in Novigrad.

Exploring the heck out of the map is a lot of fun (until you meat a level 20 or 30 enemy). Tried to play a little Destiny last night, but couldn't get into it. Now some friends want to go and beat Atheon or 32 Crota....no...just...no

LOL yeah i turn it on and run around the tower wondering what am i doing? I dont even know if i want to play Trials this weekend because the gear is shitty, and i already have 2 of the scout rifles with elemental damage. But i might because its a fun mode until you run into a team that just wont die. I swear if you get 4-5 wins in a row the game gives you an elite team, Lag team, or a team that somehow beats you even though you feel like you should have won and you just sit there wondering how you lost. I am not even going to play iron banner, already deleted some of my iron banner armor cos its useless. My female awoken hunter is never wearing those IB hooker boots, she is a classy lady!

The amount of terrible connections is atrocious. The servers cannot handle the load any more. With so much more tied to online play (IB, PoE, ToO, etc) it's like they did not get more servers to handle it. I was being shown as having a bad connection several times last night and my internet is rock solid. The issues seems to be on Bungie/Activision. Some matches were fine but the large majority were just infuriatingly. Playing a lot more Batman on the X1 these days.

Not only does it give you an elite MLG team, but it gives you the same team twice in a row. That has happened to me twice last week when I was basically two more wins away from a flawless. The only reason I'll play destiny is for trials, nightfall, and in the off chance I feel like completing the elder cipher bounty.

Witcher is a great game filled with content and story. I only wish Destiny had 1% of the total content Witcher has.

That happened to me too, maybe we were playing togther. But i remember these elite snipers just poping out and getting headshots before i can even react. Then the game gives us the same team the next game to screw over my 4-0 with loss boon.

Still need to do 1 Nightfall with my level 34 Hunter. Looking to start around 6:15 P.M. Pacific (8:15 Central/9:15 Eastern). Really wanna get it done tonight. Anyone interested?
 
Sure, I'd do that if we could get a third for both activities. Which class would you be using? I already did the 32 with my Titan, so I'd be running Hunter for PoE as well.

But the 32 feels like a 34 when you get to Round 4. Mine defusing plus arc burn from Fallen enemies. Pain in the dick, that. It would really help a lot if you or our potential teammate had the Titan bubble.

Last I checked, it was still 100% peer-to-peer for PVP. Someone is the host, and everyone else connects to them.

Just saying, not excusing Bungie, but the people with shitty/improperly set-up internet aren't helping.

All right. Do you know anyone else who might want to join? Because as of now, I don't.

I did finally create a Warlock yesterday. Just thought, "I'm not playing Iron Banner right now and I'm going to be 31 years old at the end of this month. It's about damn time I man up and make a Warlock." I'm at level 11 now, but I do have exotic Warlock armor for every slot but boots waiting in the vault. So I have options.

warlocks dont have any exotic boots, not sure if you knew that. Better buy some boots from vendors or variks if he sells them next week. Oh wait you dont get "marks" until rank 18 or 20. Better hope variks sells them, or you can do first two parts of crota to maybe get boots.

haha, i was going to start it but then thought well trials is starting tomorrow so i dont want to get into it just to play destiny the next day. When i play a game i usually stick with that game until im done. I should really take a break from destiny though. Only pop it in to do nightfalls/weeklys on tuesday.

 
Hey everyone here's how to get free Red Bull codes. I just tried it and it works 100%.

The first batch of codes all have a 3 4 7  and  X K C

All you need to do is keep guessing a random combination of 8 and you can get a free bonus xp and mission. 

For example: 337XCCK7 (doesn't work) 3377444k etc. any combination of letters and numbers.

I got mines fairly quickly after 3 attempts. There are ip bans on the redbull website if you try too many incorrect guesses.

My friend says she went to a 7-11 near our house and almost all of the red bull tabs were peeled back revealing the code. She bought a pack that wasn't peeled back only to find the code was invalid. Luckily, I just guessed two right codes so I could give her one. So not only are people not paying for the red bull and getting free codes but people who legitimately bought red bull cans are now screwed if some random person guesses there code.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buying red bull for the destiny codes until they release a new batch with more than 6 character possibilities. Who ever thought that was a good idea is now going to realize why 6 character possibilities is a poor choice. It would not have killed them to just use more variability.

Also use a proxy service if you are trying to get multiple codes. But don't be  fuck about it and farm for them, just try and get one and done.

Now that I have strange coins (12 more from last night's Nightfall) Xur is onky selling shit I already have. Literally everything. At least I can ascend a few exotic weapons with shards. Only have enough motes for 1 engram. Not sure I wanna waste those on another damn helmet that I probably already have.
 
Now its a double c/f. People who buy cans risk the codes being taken by the internets angry nerds already? That is f'd in the A.

The cans are still MIA in my area by the way but I did notice them making space for something and not restocking the cooler with red bull...like its normally packed but today it was over half empty. Either they are waiting for someone to stock it or someone bought them all already or something.

I did 3 nightfalls...got vanguard auto rifle, sniper, and FWC rocket. Broke it all down...I even did one solo it took longer but was easy enough.

I invited Matt even though he wasn't playing because I knew he needed one more, he joined at the end and did literally nothing for those coins so I figured he was going to get gjally. I did think it was hilarious he spawned out in the open though...

Destiny players are turning into raging dickholes though...stealing codes, booting people at the end of games so they dont get loot, cheating in trials...why are people being like this?

Its really not worth all that dudes its just a game.

I've seen that happen a few times after the last patch. He gets aggro and just chases the guy that sworded him all the way back inside...seen it on both sides too.

 
Dilemma: Xur is selling Lucky Raspberry with INT +172. I have an old one with INT +166. However, I'd need 2 shards to finish off the last node and then ascend it. The old one is fully leveled otherwise. What is the best option?

6 intellect, I THINK, will only give you like 2-4% more towards your super so its not really much of an upgrade. Mine is also lower than the one he is selling but im not going to bother.

Turn PS4 on to play some Trials and PSN is undergoing maintenance. Really? Also ToO is on the Burning Shrine again. Not bad, i thought that map was one of the better maps since the start, but id rather have a new map than one we already played on.

 
I feel like such a dumbass. I've been playing this game for a year now and just learned 10 minutes ago that you can use gestures/emotes while riding vehicles.

Haha. Don't feel too bad, I just learned about this a few weeks ago myself. :dunce:

Although I never really "tried" doing anything else with vehicles besides flipping/rolling the tumbler sparrow or just driving to my destination point as fast as possible.

Argh, I haven't done anything this week in Destiny besides loot Xur with my Warlock and briefly play IB with my Titan. Is the NF super easy this week? I'll probably try running through those at some point. Doubtful that I'll get a PoE run in or try ToO with my luck this weekend. And Omnigul is the weekly? Not cool.

I'm done with Destiny probably until TKK comes out I'll play some witcher that I haven't touched since launch and will very likely get batman...
