Hello, Tyler.

Yep. Lego Hobbit Vita is a terrible plat. You have to craft all the red bricks, lego kits, and lego mini-kits in order to get those trophies. Every craft requires ~500-1500 resources, which the game barely gives you during play. Your only other way to get those resources is to buy them 10 or 100 at a time. Just crafting a single item means you have to go to the store and just keep hammering X over and over again until you've bought enough.

Additionally, one of the resource types (mithril) cannot be bought. You have to explore hidden maps or deliver crafted items to quest givers to get mithril. So you're stuck crafting a few kits, going and dropping them off to get a mithril each time, then walking back to the nearest forge to repeat. It's incredibly and stupidly tedious.

And a final insult; once you've gone to a node and gotten the quest, the node changes to the same brown color that inactive nodes have. So you have to go to each node and hit X to see if there's something left to do there. If there is, great, but if not you have to listen to an unskippable audio clip from the NPC on that node before you can leave. There's also no overmap to make it easy to see where you still have to go, and no quest list or anything along those lines to help guide you through unfinished material.

I can't speak to the quality of the PC/console version, but the 3DS/Vita version of Lego Hobbit is absolute ass. Don't buy it.

I knew I was forgetting someone. Sorry kilik. Everyone says they aren't good but we all have moments to shine. A good game is one where anyone can play and contribute.
I'll let you know when that happens. Thanks for the games tonight. Thanks Pancakes and Chewy as well.

You were right it is 20 saves for that trophy. I played two exhibitions after you guys left and got an epic save but the decal still shows none. Wonder if they have to be done against real players or something?

I needed that the stupid millage one and then just grind out the collectibles.

i got that one with bots. Stay inside and let them shoot. Play 1 vs 1.

Yeah did some reading and see that was a suggested method. I tried it (probably need to turn up the difficulty) and the one bot stayed near his goal most of the time.

Also saw a few people saying use a second controller and put the main one in front of goal and use second one to shoot the ball at the car in front of goal.

Will mess around with it tomorrow.

I got that and still can't beat it. No way in hell in messing with NG+.
Is that near the end then you have to beat the mega tank? If so no real help on the 7 tanks other then take your time and pick them off one by one and run. Once you beat them I think you have to beat the big tank. That was kicking my ass but there is a building near where you spawn. I think like movie ticket place or something. Anyway you can just keep that between you and him in stay in tank mode. Takes a bit but once I tried doing that way it was pretty easy.

What was your complaint about the end of Man of Steel? From a moviegoer perspective the huge fight at the end was very overdone, IMO, but from the standpoint of characterization I think they did a good job. The trailer here actually turned me off a bit to Dawn of Justice simply because of the ruling that Superman was responsible. That's bullshit, I think. He gave himself up and Zod was going to kill everybody on Earth anyway, at which point Supes fought back. Yeah people died in that fight, which sucks, but look at the alternative. Hard to blame that on the guy. That the movie does so makes it far less appealing because I don't want to see the character beaten down for something that wasn't his fault.
Every opportunity he had to try and take the other Kryptonians away from populated areas, he failed to do so. At the midpoint of the movie he takes them away from an isolated farm to main street Smallville, definitely killing some people in the process (gas station explosion).

In the fight with Zod, he focuses only on him, giving little thought to minimizing damage or trying to lure him away from the city. Dodging the sliding fuel trunk instead of stopping it, colliding full speed with Zod next to a building which will likely result in a collapse, seemingly punching Zod deeper into the city to areas not touched by the terraforming machine, running Zod's face along the side of a building, etc.

He had an excellent opportunity to alter the course in their descent from space so that they would impact in an unpopulated area (I wouldn't think it would be too difficult since Zod JUST figured out how to fly literally 3 minutes previously), but he didn't even try.

Mainly it's the complete lack of any lasting consequences, at the end of the movie the Daily Planet crew are joking and smiling like 9/11 times a hundred didn't just happen. Of course there would be people who are full of rage and looking for someone to blame. To the man on the street it just looks like two titans fighting with little regard for their surroundings. How are they to know it wasn't Superman in that building recklessly firing his heat vision full blast at Zod, bringing down the Wayne Financial tower in the process?

It feels really weird to earn trophies in a game I started 6 years ago.
I did a similar thing when I jumped back into Dark Souls 3 years later, it wasn't as disorienting as I expected.

My longest was Gunstar Heroes, 5 years and 2 months, my longest ever will be Uncharted 1 if I ever finish it (currently at 6 1/2 years).

Yeah that's the part. I'll just keep picking them off one by one. I'll get it eventually.

Plat #45 in the books with Far Cry 3. Great game.

Thanks again for the co-op help Bums. Enjoy the real actual game instead of the co-op bullshit.

Glad to help and it was a bonus since I didn't have the trophies. At least we didn't experience any glitched trophies.

Valid points. I'm not sure Superman really had a choice as you make out, however. Being able to control the location of the fight might have been beyond his ability. Moving the fight to a remote location would have required being able to overpower Zod enough to do so or that Zod not realize what's going on. I'm certain he would have realized what Superman was trying to do and probably would have deliberately stuck to populated areas. Whether he was strong enough to force the issue is a bit more up in the air, I suppose.

The single wheel option thing worked for me.  It popped overnight while rubber banding.  Based on the time, I assume it was around the 75km mark like everyone is reporting.

Glad that is done with.

great I will be doing that today then. I was going to leave it on overnight but figured I would let the system rest a bit since it was on a lot last night already

Cool. I am up to 25+ KM with the OEM wheels on the car I am using.

Was able to get the 20 saves trophy so just this and all the collectibles at this point.

I'm up to True Detective season 1 episode 6 now and hope to finish it tonight. I keep hearing season 2 isn't as good. Is it not interesting?

Has anyone seen the Ellen Page/Kate Mara spoof Tiny Detective? As a short person I enjoyed it. I'm in the same height range.

R2. I used a penny in between the triggers and it holds nicely. Saw it on the guide as a tip
I was thinking a quarter. Just used a couple of old hairbands it is circling now.

I am 30KM+ in already. Need 34 or so collectibles. So for an hour or so this morning I was doing 1 on 1 with no bots. I would kick the goal immediately and then circle the arena holding down R2 and hoop. Staying in boost most of the 5 mins. 300M or so. So 3+ games would be one K. I needed/need a crap ton of collectibles anyway.

But I am running some errands shortly so figure get what I can while I am not here.

Vig.  Any good $20 flips from BB to GS?  I am going to do the Elderscolls one and will have $21 or so left in credit at BB.  I should end up hopefully with a 50% trade coupon.

Left my controller rubberbanded and stuck between a book and my monitor stand overnight. Popped around 5am. Somewhere below 82 miles. Now I can use the cool red tires lol.

Another shot has come to get the PSTV bundle with the 8GB card, DS3, and Lego movie game for $50. It is available from Hastings for $2.28 in shipping or if you have a store in the area, you can do instore pick-up if the item is available.

If you already have too many DS3, spare vita memory, and/or don't want the Lego Movie game; they have just the system for $40 + shipping.

It's not nearly as good so far. The characters aren't as interesting, and although I was hyped for some of the actors, the ones I was psyched for have been blah (Rachel McAdams, Tim Riggins). Colin Farrell plays Colin Farrell (not a fan), and Vince Vaughn and Kelly Reilly (who plays his wife) are the only bright spots IMO.

I feel like it's trying - there's a lot going on, multiple storylines and characters - but I can't be bothered enough to pay attention to them since the show's not clicking yet, and I just get frustrated and confused instead of engrossed in the plot.

This show needs your full attention, but it's not good enough to demand it, if that makes sense.
