Last fall when I still had a console-based reptilian brain I preordered Dishonored 2 for PS4 from Target when they price glitched it at $19.99. So far they're still honoring that price but part of me hopes they cancel it because getting that deal is what's got me on the verge of justifying a fakey on BF1 and Titanfall2.

Just cancel the order, you fucks!

Fakey TF2 and BF1...BF1 is great. TF2 has great reviews already

Take PS4 Target copy, flip it to Gamestop and buy 10 copies of some game, flip that to best buy and buy 10 copies of some game, flip that back to Gamestop, continue cycle. Throw in amazon from time to time.

Free BF1, TF2, and DH2 after a few years.

Didn't realize titanfall 2 was supposed to come out already, thought that was next year for some reason. maybe it'll be free in the halloween sale

Fakey Alert:

If you fakey'd Civ6 and you're having issues loading your saves, try excluding the game file in Windows Defender. I had been unable to load my game since yesterday afternoon but as soon as I excluded it in Defender it worked perfectly.

Didn't realize it's been nearly 5 months since my last post. So... hello.
Just in time for MysterD's birthday! :bouncy:

Speaking of that...

As usual - I'll wait until Dishonored 2, BF1, CoD: Infinite Warfare, and CoD4 MW: Remastered get cheaper.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on all of those that you purchase, of course.
Incredibly disappointed with BF1. I really wish I could say that I'm as impressed with it as everyone else seems to be, but that's far from the case. Don't know why I expected anything else given the previous 3 games. They've gone with style over substance yet again. BC2 remains the last halfway decent entry in the series. Already considering just dropping it completely once T2 releases.

You too huh? I for some reason pre-ordered 2 copies during that glitch. I actually can't believe Target has not cancelled those by now, since they rarely honor price mistakes. In the event those are not cancelled I might try and exchange one for a PC version with customer service. Might be worth a shot, and probably less of a chore than walking into a GameStop.

The Division 1.4 Patch Notes Thoughts (That very few will care about.)

I'll keep it short...  It really plays differently now.  Way more tactical and with less spongy enemies. I think its a positive.

I have four characters with different degrees of playtime.  Like one has all the playtime and others not so much with hand me downs for weapoins and gear.

On the weaker characters, though they all qualified for World Tier 4, I pretty much got slaughtered relentlessly as I worked through the enemies on my season supply drops...  I'm talking like 5 plus (likely allot more) respawns.  Not really fun but I skipped straight to the hardest difficulty.

On my strongest character, I pretty much shredded the enemies though I couldn't just camp my smart cover and survive.  I had to think tactically and use the cover and whatnot.  (Like one would expect in a 3PS.)

The really unexpected thing was what I would consider one of my weakest characters is now rather quite strong...  but I think that might just be because the gear set (striker's) and weapon (used an assault rife) wasn't messed with exceptionally so.My now weakest characters one uses double SMG (SMGs got nerfed in general and the two types he uses suffers even worst, PP19 and MP7) in an alpha bridge set.  I'm positive a swap to AR and he would be back to wrecking stuff.  The last character was using a shotgun and and a sniper rifle and the gear set that might have been wrecked the most.  Shotguns suffered because of the need to use cover now and not just run up enemies.  The sniper rifle is the one that got nerfed the most.  That character is going to need allot of hand me downs to be really useful.

Loot is more plentiful but not as much as I thought it would be...  BUT all modes seem to be extremely playable now so I can and do see that progression can be made without a ridiculous amount of time being invested and without venturing into the DZ.

BF4 was great

I kinda agree. I do love the graphics and the immersion of the game. I think even more than before BF3 or BF4 this game heavily relies on playing with groups that communicate. Thus you need to play with friends, otherwise you are going to die often regardless of how defensive you play.

And since you bring up BC2, you saying that BC2 was last halfway decent game makes me wonder what is your gold standard for FPS games? Cause for me BC2 is that gold standard even to this day. There is no game I want more than BC3.

If you need friends feel free to join me...i regularly play with 2-3 others.

Budget gamers looking for a budget card - here's the 4GB GTX 1050 Ti performance from Eurogamer:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-review

Pretty much, they say:

Costs $140 USD for MSRP.

Performs similar to the 960 cards, which makes it fine for 1080p gaming.

Out-performs overlocked 4GB RX 460 models.

There's nothing like it b/c it's quite small.

Nothing like it b/c only uses up 75W at stock from a PCI-E mobo, meaning that MOST PSU's can handle this!

The above makes it ideal for lower-end desktops + on-the-go gaming!

There is overclocking room (which Eurogamer / Digital Foundry has yet to try it, but they will)

1050 Ti has more VRAM (4GB) than the 3GB 1060.

35% more cash-spending on 3GB 1060 performs about 60% better.

If you spend a bit more $, you still can get much better cards.

The 4 main episodes for Resident Evil Revelations 2 is on sale on GMG for $0.69 each and the complete season with a couple of extra missions for $5.79

https://www.greenmangaming.com/search/resident%20evil%20revelations%202

and use 9WQIZI-62B8JR-W49X6H for 10% off...

Will probably end up in todays Humble bundle though.....
I guess the questions are - are the extra episodes (Little Miss & The Struggle) and Raid Character HUNK worth the extra $?

EDIT:

Poking around on Steam reviews, since I own Ep1 (from HB), might be best to just buy the last 3 Episodes at that cheap of a price - if HB doesn't have a good sale today.

Don't look like Little Miss is of fair length (30min to an hour of stealth-gameplay).

The Struggle sounds like a Horde Mode.

I doubt I'll do anything w/ RAID Mode.

I'm going to need you guys to nail down if BF1 is awesome or if it's hot trash within the next two days before it goes off sale. Thanks.
Game is alot of fun. (super chaotic)

My largest issues are:

-Lack of gun variety

-Lack of attachment/customization of weapons

-Battlepack drops are a joke

-Battlepack loot is a joke (limited weapon skins that EVERYONE has)

-Shotguns are OP as balls

-Medics don't rez because they are baddies

(gun variety and customization is obv because it's an "old school" shooter...but still. Going from BF4 with tons of customization to bare bones is hard to deal with)

I agree with this. For me, I would like to add the fact the UI is bad. However, I think all of this will change with updates. This game is much better than what BF4 was when it launched and Dice did an excellent job turning that game around. This game is good to great as is, and will probably get better with the coming weeks/months.

Raid mode was fun if you just want pure zombie-monster shootin' action. Screw puzzles and plot, just start killing a crap ton of critters.
Hmmmm, point taken.

Though, don't think I really need to go all out on RER2 Delxue or Complete to get extra RAID characters though.

Still debating just buying the Ep's that I need [Ep 2+3+4], since they're so damn cheap.

EDIT:

Oh, I have coupon + credit built up. Might as well just use it on the 3 Ep's.

Total purchase = $1 after everything.

The sidestory episodes add a little bit of story (especially Moira's) but I don't think they're worth the extra cost when compared to the full season on GMG. I think you should experience them eventually if you're a fan of RE games, but they can easily be skipped.

The game itself is well worth buying the 4 episodes for, and most people got the first episode from a bundle anyway. I preordered it from Nuuvem and loved it, but it sucks that there's no online co-op for the campaign mode. I feel like the only way it'll be bundled is if it's in a Capcom publisher bundle, I doubt we'll see it in a non-publisher bundle, so it's doubtful it'll be in today's humble. Oh, and there are a couple of things that will be spoiled for the first Revelations game if you don't play it first, though you might not even notice at first.

I bought the missing 3 Episodes.

(See my Edit in earlier post - https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/341407-steam-deals-mega-thread-all-pc-gaming-deals/?p=13499318.)

I really dug RE: Revelations 1 (that turned out much better than RE6 overall, TBH) & RE: Rev 2 Ep 1...

So...I think I'm good to go here. :)

Thanks very much for the info, Spoder! Much appreciated.

Revelations 2 is another game that's better to be played in co-op (campaign supports local co-op), but it's ok without it. It's not better in co-op to the same extent as RE6 though. Some of the mechanics are just.. clumsy when you're playing by yourself. I also think it's quite a bit different than Revelations 1, so don't go in expecting it to be a very similar game. Totally different atmosphere, worse story, but the gameplay is better IMO due to it not being a 3DS port.

It's only good in co-op if you are player one. For player two a lot of the campaign is literally just holding a flashlight for the other player.
