Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.
[*]ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...

I was gonna buy a Ori code to give away and those bastards on Amazon raised the price just when I got out of the shower.

Let's see what date night brings I want to give away something not too expensive but good like Ori.

On Tuesday, June 20 between 8:00AM UTC and 10:00AM UTC (4:00AM ET and 6:00AM ET), we will be performing scheduled maintenance that will affect Xbox 360 titles and services.

Please note this maintenance will also impact Xbox 360 backward compatible titles on Xbox One.

All other Xbox One titles and services will not be affected.  If you’re playing an Xbox 360 title during the maintenance, you may be disconnected from Xbox Live one or more times.

I appreciate you guys responding about Stardew Valley since I never got around to playing my physical copy today even though I had promised that I would boot it up today. I decided to take an "old man" nap this afternoon instead. ;)
Have you ever been so overwhelmed by all the gaming choices installed in your console that you just take a nap instead? :)

Does anyone know if the offer where you buy 3 months of Xbox Live and get a free copy of Rocket League for Xbox One is happening on the online Microsoft Store, or is it just at retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop? I looked and didn't see it active there. I've got $49 in Microsoft money, so I would prefer to buy it there.
I think I read somewhere that if you buy 3 months of XBLG directly from the console that you would get the game. Don't quote me.

Can't recommend the Google Pixel more highly, amazing smartphone.

Fallout Shelter can eat a bag of you know what, still haven't gotten any Legendary Dwellers from my weekly Lunchbox or ones I bring back from quests. Here's a duplicate outfit, duplicate weapon, duplicate theme! :bomb:
I thought about playing FOS after its most recent update, but I didn't. You have to think about the ROI for the game at this point.

I was digging through a box of random stuff and HUZZAH!  I found my binder of old PC games and software.  I don't think Windows 10 has an ISO making tool installed by default, so can anyone recommend a good one from personal use?

Been considering picking up a pixel since I've been bummed on the loss of mainstream apps and support for the wp even though I enjoy the look. From what I've used of friends/family iphones, I'm not a huge fan. Need to look into the pixel more, I like unlocked phones that also have an sd slot.

As far as fallout shelter, I've gotten maybe four legendary dwellers from maybe 30 lunchboxes. On TA, people using the time change glitch on Windows 10 were saying it took 200+ lunchboxes to get the 20 legendary dweller achievement.

Windows phone are great quality products in terms of performance and reliability.

The problem is they don't have many apps.

I've been using a Windows phone for the last five years but I am ready to drop them any month now because of the lack of apps.

No Savings Catcher App, WalMart App, Target Cartwheel and a bunch of other useful apps that I'm missing out on.

Uber works well for me though in the winter and the GPS service is fine.

If they made surface phone that ran on android I'd probably buy that. Otherwise I'm just waiting till this thing breaks and I'll buy a cheap android phone.
Sucks that you can only sideload window apps on Win 8 /8.1 but you can totally sideload andriod apps on Win 10.

Any strong recommendations for the FH3 expansion pass that's on sale through today? I was enjoying playing FH1 through BC well enough but haven't even started FH2, and own all the expansions for FH2...

I guess I'd be feeding the backlog by buying this.

I'd love for that Batman blackgate to go bc. I never played it when I had my 360
I agree with this so much. I bought it a week before I got my Xbox One and never got past the first hour as a result.

I also really wish they'd make MGS Collecfion bc because I really want to play Peace Walker again.

If you genuinely intend to play through them in order and depending on how many other games you might be working on then you very well could wait since all the other expansions in the Forza series seem to have hit $5 eventually.

Personally I think it's a steal at the current price and they are some of the best expansions ever made (probably the greatest for a racing game) but if you are more disciplined than I am then hold off because FH3 does everything better than the first two so it might be tough going back to them if you start really getting into FH3.

i thought Blizzard Mountain was really well done and lot of fun. I will pick up Hot Wheels (which many think is even better) when it is cheaper. Almost wish I had waited for the expansion pass. I paid around $10 just for Blizzard Mountain. Would have been nice to get both for $17.49.

Okay fellow XBox Cagers can I get a non-XBL opinion as this is my favorite XBox related forum on the planet right now? I was scanning Craig's List and came across this bundle in the picture. He wants $115 which I think is high. I have some of the games already, and I don't need the controllers. I will probably donate the controllers to a church youth center along with the duplicate games. With that said how much if anything would you pick this up for......the seller said they will take lower offers.

p.s. uploading images to CAG blows so I had to link to an outside folder.

@defgufman. That $115 is way too high.

Remember to cross reference this list first - as these are the OG games probably coming to BC first:

 https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Games/GamesOnDemand?page=7&pagesize=90&sortby=ReleaseDate (scroll to the bottom)

Then this list - as these are the OG games playable on 360: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/legacy-devices/original-console/play-original-games

I have a feeling those games are the best contenders for back compat. (Sadly, Cold Fear and Second Sight (two of my faves) are nowhere to be found.)

I have been poking around eBay myself. But have only bought 2 OG games thus far. We have no idea how many games will come. (I want The Thing, Run Like Hell, and so many others... but I need to wait!)

Honestly that looks a like a semi-decent selection of non-sports games to me, but it is missing a lot of the classics. Usually if you see this many games it's mostly sports games, this is less than a quarter, but there is a high number of racing games. Unless they separate it out I don't know how much they'll come down. If a decently working console and 4 controllers are included than $100ish seems fair, though unlikely to sell very fast, especially when you sometimes see Xbones or PS4s around $150 on Craigslist.

This could also be the original owner trying to offload his library all at once, as I only see one double. Their taste in games was just boring.

Yeah, for $115 I'd expect it to come with a console to play them on. I count less than 10 games I'd honestly consider firing up and actually playing again, even if some others were good in their time.

I'd go with the $50 suggestions, none of the really high profile Xbox games in the lot.

If you get it, I might be interested in some of the duplicates if I don't have them in my collection already.

Also, did it ever get mentioned in here that NCAA 14 was delisted near the end of May?

Should we have gotten those Mixer E3 rewards by now? I never got mine but didn't link my Xbox account till Friday. Was there a link to request the rewards?

EDIT: Never mind a quick google search got me the answer I needed.

Those Logitech controllers aren't that cheap, I see them going for a decent price. I was looking for them (yeah I'm that lazy and I hate cables around) but they're all in the US and shipping make the cost more than doubled. I'm starting my OG Xbox collection these days (got the Duke, waiting for a console and the equipment to mod it, own a few games already). In case you ever get these and want to take the hassle to ship them to Italy let me know, I would pay it if it's not too much.

I'm guessing those games were chery-picked out of the bunch of them to sell individually.

To my fellow Stardew Valley addicts farmers, if you aren't already consulting http://stardewvalleywiki.com from time to time, I highly recommend it. It's very useful for stuff that the game doesn't really explain (which is a lot, honestly), or even to find out where your stalking target favorite guy or gal is at a certain time of day. I have been playing with a tab open to the page on my phone most of the time because it always seems like I need to look up stuff like what fish are available in what areas or what gifts someone likes.

Played Bioshock last night for about 3 hours, and I'm hooked all over again like it's 2009 (when I first played it). the remaster looks mostly great, and it controls exactly as it did before, for better or for worse. The shooting has always been a little floaty but I think that was intentional.

Also, if you play with Vita Chambers enabled, I'm judging you.

For what it's worth, Cold Fear is still available on Steam for purchase, goes on sale every so often and is published by Ubisoft. They most likely still have the rights to it, meaning they could add it to the catalog if they get it working on Xbone and Ubisoft has shown themselves to be one of the better supporters of BC. :bouncy:

That really was an amazing game.......I should pick up the XOne collection and play it again

Now I am pretty sure I'll be getting Friday the 13th, I see a few friends play it religiously. And after seeing Retro 8 bit Jason I'm sold. It's nice that they are doing this plus adding SP later.

It's also pretty long, I don't think I could play it more than once every 5-10 years, but it's been long enough that it's a fresh experience again, especially with the prettier graphics.

Also, shout-out to games without regenerating health and save-anywhere functionality. They just don't make em like they used to.

Yeah, it can be a life saver. I pretty much only use it for birthday gifts and fish locations also. It'd be next to impossible to find all the fish without it.

Stop talking about Bioshock. You're making me want to play it for the 34,000th time.

Doesn't Bioshock have save anywhere functionality? Or did you just mean in general? I'd definitely prefer save anywhere, I thought the save system was the worst part of Dead Rising cause you had to find those fucking bathrooms.

Went into my local game store and found Crimson Skies for $2, prices are pretty low all around, with almost everything still at or below $5. They didn't have any Fusion Frenzy. I'm going to keep checking back and picking up stuff here and there, I know I want to find Jade Empire since I never played it.

I didn't realize how few Xbox games I actually had, seems to be about 6 from when the system was alive. I bought it third in the generation pretty much only for Halo, I think early 2004, and most of my collection from the era was GameCube and PS2. I must have been renting games as well. I know I have Halo 2 somewhere, and I have some shitty Bruce Lee game that came with a dead Xbox I bought cheap last year or so. Shenmue II was a more recent gift, and GunValkyrie was last year. At least they're all masterpieces right, especially Dead or Alive Xtreme right? Thank you young me.

I think the outside edge of possibility is some emulated version of the OG Xbox Live to run the multiplayer portion, but I'd say 5% chance tops. I do hope they just include the little bit of DLC that existed back then since I don't think there will be a way to buy it. KotOR 1 had some small free addition, and it'd be nice to get all the Halo 2 maps since one pack isn't included on that install disc. They already said no achievements but at least these wouldn't be new features that take much work to make happen. I really hope KotOR 1 is announced early in the program, the PC version has a lot of issues on current computers.

So I bought Battlefront Ultimate, what's the best thing to play in it? I had the vanilla game but that Deathstar and having it digitally pulled me in for $10.

The Deathstar expansion is cool if you like space battles especially. But I also found it very frustrating in that it's not easy to get to the Trench Run part of it (rebels have to keep winning to get to it) and even harder to be the pilot that goes on the trench run. That's one of my favorite sequences of all time in SW. Wish they had made an offline mission for it. I haven't played in a while but never ended up being the pilot for the trench run.

I wish games were that cheap here, but literally no store has them (Gamestop stopped years ago), so you have to rely on Ebay and shipping costs. I actually got good prices for the Halo games, spent like 15€ total for Halo CE + Halo 2 LCE + Halo 2 "Multiplayer Map Packs".

Conan Exiles releases 8/16 on XB1. Will be part of Game Preview for launch. TATS.

(I am sick of saying "trailer at the spoiler" - so I will just say TATS now.)

Anybody pick up Stardew Valley? How's it work on console for you, if so?
I read a Kotaku article that suggested that the joypad controls were better on PS4 and Xbox One than they were on the PC version. Something to do with the clicking being more accurate since it was fixed when it was ported to console. Can't say first hand if it's true.

Just realized how confusing my statement was. I was praising the game for its lack of regenerative health and the fact that it does have save anywhere.

For good or ill, the Game Pass shares a similarity with EA Access - the Game Pass discounts also count down.  Looks like Blood Bowl 2, Knight Squad (former GwG), Mega Coin Squad, #IDARB (former GwG) and Massive Chalice (former GwG) are part of tonight's line up.

Here ya go, closedsocket.
