Where is the weekly ad?
They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).


TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

Not the best discount but whatever, it was palatable enough for my wallet. But on the final order page, I got a warning that 1 of my items were out of stock but I was able to hit the "place order" button.

SMRPG and Peach are both in stock, Minecraft is not so I'm guessing that was what trigger the warning... is my order safe or am I SOL since the free game is OOS?

What does your order details show? Is Minecraft on there? Sounds to me like you might have just bought the other two games at full price...

Tried to shop around a bit, but it's such a pain at the stores by me since they combined the new and pre owned display boxes. It's impossible to know what's pre owned without pulling each game off the shelf and checking. I gave after a few minutes since I wasn't planning to get anything anyways. What did you come away with?

Yes, order shows all 3 games but prices are all messed up... Minecraft is $0, Paper Mario and Peach both show $12 but my total is $110 (which is what the two full priced games are).

EDIT* Got shipping notices for everything, guess I'm good. :)

Having a problem ordering 3 games for the B2G1(Paper Mario, Peach Showtime and SMB Wonder) and when I use my home address it won't let me ship but when I use a PO Box it charges me $11.00 for shipping even though it should be free. Of course, it won't tell me which one can't be shipped.

I encountered this yesterday and found that message always appears if I try checking out on the desktop site. When I placed the order in the GS app, the checkout process didn’t have any issues.

Well the "challenge" with selling cards is to whom and where to sell them. So many scammers and thieves on Ebay. And so many mom and pop card shops tell you "we have to make money too" when they are giving you low offers. Wish I knew a honest reputable buyer or shop. You have to accept that you are going to take a loss unless you are one of those fortunate sellers that have a good network of reputable buyers. But correct me if I'm wrong cause I just got into this card game about 4 years ago.

I’ve been having the same problem with both the app and the website since I first tried checking out yesterday. Not too concerned though, I barely wanted to place an order, and I had planned on trading one of the games back immediately anyway.
 
Just from what I saw there are a few trades that after the pre-order bonus ended up being worth it to pick up and then trade in.

Is there a way to view your trading history? I had a certain game that I wanted to trade, but I can't find it now, and I thought maybe I already traded it and just forgot about it.

The cart online goes nuts when you add more than 3 used games to your checkout. B2G1 doesn't apply when I had 4 total in cart!

I always wondered if your (at least recent) trading history is something they can immediately see on their screen when pulling up your account, or if they'd have to go out of their way to look it up. Never stopped me from trading in the same game multiple times or at different stores when it came down to it, but it would be a little embarassing to find out I'm not remotely as slick as I thought I was lol
 
Found nothing at my 2 closest GameStops yesterday.

Drove further out today and think I found the one store that gets good trades. I think it’s also closer to a town that is a bit more ritzy than the other 2, lol.

Persona 5 Tactica (NS) - was going to get FF Crisis core for the NS but the guy could not find the cart for it so I had to find something in a similar price that my kids would play
 
How often do they do trade promos that are over $5 get another $5? The last time this happened was the 2nd week of December 23 If I remember correctly. Do they have a similar summer trade in promo?

Not with any regularity, but I feel like we're due for one in the next couple of months. Just a hunch.
 
Grapevine, TX is where their main warehouse is right? I'm super annoyed that an order from the 30th still hasn't been picked up by the USPS and I decided to have it shipped to my parents (where I'm visiting). At this rate, it'll get here after I leave.

All of my other items were picked up within a day. I can understand there being pick-up issues at stores (especially if the norm is that most stores don't open until noon like they do around here) but for it to not be picked up from the main warehouse fairly quickly is ridiculous.

It's possible that it's still en-route and just hasn't been scanned by USPS yet. When I had not-yet-picked-up orders within the last few months, they would still arrive in the typical 3-5 business day timeframe.

What did you order? Anything that’s not a preorder is going to ship from whatever store has it in stock.

Welp, you're kinda right... it just got scanned in Fort Worth, TX. A whole half around away from Grapevine... ETA is Monday for delivery and I leave Sunday.:mad: Guess it's possible USPS pulls a miracle but... not holding my breath.

Red Dead PS4 (store), Killer Instinct (store), and Simpsons Hit & Run PS2 (Grapevine). Simpsons was my freebie, I couldn't find anything else I wanted so figured I'd take a gamble at GS.
 
This is not helpful now but I use the "USPS Hold Mail Service" so my carrier will (in theory) not deliver mail while I'm out and then deliver it once I return.

Yeah I use it all the time though it's very hit or miss in my area. They hold 90% of my packages but I've had multiple packages mis-delivered or delivered/stolen while there was an active hold mail request.

But in this case it wouldn't matter since it's my parent's place so they can just hold it or mail it to me when they get a chance I guess.
 
I might have to go on a B2G1 free haul. I headed into my local casino during week and turned 5K into almost 10K playing some few big hands playing Baccarat! This was the high limit room, so $100 minimum bet tables.

Threw the dealer some change black chip $100, because I don't want to fill out the W-2 form when you cash out more than 10K at the cage!

Funny I see some people win a couple of thousands, literally no tip at all! That 5% comission on Banker at the squeeze tables is all the casino needs. I was giving back $5 for every $100 waged. Placed a few big ass bets at 1K, $50 right there back to the house! 😆



I already pulled the trigger on Star Ocean 2nd story R, LaD Infinite wealth, P3 Reload when GS they had their last B2G1 in April. I still got to many jRPGs in the backlog to work through.

Flip advice needed. I have a copy of NCAA Football 14...I found another two of the seven in the series on PS3 at a couple of GS stores CIB...would it be viable to sell 14 on its own or bundle it together along with the other games CIB?

you should probably just sell it on it's own. 13 has some value for people that didn't like the changes to recruiting on 14, but the rest are worthless. and 13 and 14 are quickly moving into irrelevancy with 25 being released soon.

At what point is a ban warranted when it comes to returns? Better to return in a single batch at one store or multiple stores or different days?
