F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

My two sets of the "Sega Fun Pack" for $17 each came in, and one "set" is just the Sonic game, no Shadow the Hedgehog. Can't flip that now :(

DS2U coming through!

Anybody bought a TV through AWD and had good luck with it? I know somebody just mentioned getting one that looked brand new but I'm curious if thats more of an exception than usual. I'm also leaning towards a 39" Insignia at BB for $299 right now if anybody has good experience with those.
Haven't bought a TV yet, but did get a 24" monitor for ~$130 a year ago which was Like New. Box was dented in but screen and plastic still had all the protective tape on it. I'm still rocking it, but now that I have a decent job and too much space, I'm going to need an HDTV soon as well. Definitely going to be looking at AWD if there isn't anything decent for Black Friday.

Don't buy an HDTV with high input lag. I can't stress that enough.

Exactly. You pay a premium for that feature and I would rather put that money towards better quality or features I want.
I'm talking about the soap opera effect effect. Not all 120mhz has to use that.

120 May or may not be better for you depending on your preference. It's not like its a useless feature for everyone.

Panasonic plasmas..well some of them took the Kuro technology and they look GOOD.

They don't have burn in anymore. Thing of the past. That said they use a lot of energy compared to an LED, and are comparable in price. Personally I prefer LED, but I had a plasma for awhile in college. No joke, the thing would keep my room warm when it wasn't freezing!
My Panasonic plasma I bought last year still has my health bar and radar and a couple others things still burned into from playing a lot of Twisted Metal when it came out...I wasn't cautious with it in its first 1000 hours or so because of comments like this.

I'm talking about the motion blur effect.
I'm not either. I don't know how things have changed in the last two years, since I last sold TVs, but in the range where most people bought TVs you would be talking about a $100-150 or greater premium for a 120hz version. The manufacturers would offer either an identical model with a slightly different model number or a different model but with near identical features and panel but at different price points. In the mid-end you could then step up to the next model from that manufacturer for the same price as the 120hz model. Now I don't know if the high end sets all having 120hz has migrated down or not. Either way I can not stand it.

but don't most tv have a high input lag compare to computer monitors?
Some monitors have more input lag than some HDTVs.

My LG 32LD450 has an input lag of around 16 ms ( in game mode) , I've seen monitors with over 30 ms of input lag consistently.

Generally speaking , monitors do have the least input lag though.

My Asus VG278h has the lowest input lag of any monitor or HDTV I've used.

Still going to argue my Pioneer Kuro 151 and Panasonic P65vt50, both have a better gaming image than 99% of the LEDs build to date IMO. Yes I was careful with them the first 500 hours or so, actually ran slides on them the first 200 hours, and they have barely any imput lag. I know these high end tv's aren't for everyone cause of the price, but they do have an amazing picture that can only be rivaled by the Sharp Elites

R00kie, I agree the 2012 Pannys were bad about ir and burn in without a proper break in, I fell asleep watching my 30 for 30 blu-ray the first night I have the tv, of course when the show was over it went to the title screen and stayed on it for 6 hours. I woke up the next morning sick to my stomach. The 30 for 30 logo was visiable no matter what I watched. I started running the slides every morning when I left for work each day for a week and finally the image completely disappeared. Was sure I was gonna have to return it, now a year later I can leave the same image on the tv for 12 straight hours and I will get less than 5 minutes of IR and then it gone.

The picture on my TC-P60ST30 is by far better than any other TV I have owned...I did about 100 hours of slides then only watched movies and stuff for the next 200 hours or so and figured that was enough, then I got hooked on Twisted Metal...ended up moving my PS3 to the bedroom because of it. It's back in the living room now, and I can barely barely see any of the images, but I can against a white or green slide.

Once you see it, you will always see it lol, even if nobody else can. My wife thinks I am a nut case every time I get a new Plasma. I ask her, do you see this or that, she says I am nuts

Having to wait to use a Tv and do all this extra shit with slides defeats the purpose of having a tv.  Why would anyone want to own a plasma tv to have to put in more work to actually get to enjoy it?  Makes absolutely no sense.  Like I said before all plasma tvs leak either way you look at it.  The life span of them is bad compared to a LED hence why I stick behind my word.  If you like dealing with that type of crap more power to you.  The heat that comes off of them is ridiculous as well.

Absolutely! I could barely watch anything on that TV for months because all I would look at was the lower left wondering if I could see my health bar....burned in on full health of course lol

Never understood the life span argument...technology will advance to where you would replace it by a better display before it burns out or whatever happens to them after 50,000 hours. I have a 50 inch plasma in the bedroom I bought back in 2006 and it still looks better than the 40 inch samsung LED i bought a couple years ago.

Well it depends who you are too. Most people don't keep their TV for more than five years any longer because you can get bigger, better, cheaper. It didn't use to be that way though and most people would keep their CRTs until they broke.

Why even bother buying a 120 Hz HDTV then?

Just buy a good 60 Hz HDTV.
Everyone seems to be confusing refresh rate with something like a clear motion rate or the like.

A true 120hz panel LED looks a lot better in motion than a "clear motion 120", for example. Clear motion is image processer rate plus the backlight speed. Overall, a marketing thing that actually degrades picture quality, but sounds good. On a 120HZ refresh rate TV, you won't be able to "turn it off" This is why you don't see high end televisions with a 60hz refresh rate. A majority of companies have the misleading "clear motion" thing (it's a samsung term, others will have trumotion, etc.)

But really, why would anyone not buy a plasma? So much better. I own a 51" Samsung f8500.

Here's my old LED for comparison: (yeah, look at those black levels and that off angle performance, LED IS fantastiiccc, right?)

X's a billion. I have yet to see one that looks half way decent in a store. And, obviously, that's why.

A few weeks worth of baby sitting is worth the years of better picture quality to me, guess its not for everyone though

As long as you think your technology is better, all that matters in the end is that your happy

This is what I was saying.

Plasma tvs have the best picture quality for the price. But they obviously aren't perfect. They use more electricity and aren't as bright. You really can't compare tvs at the store, plasmas look like crap under store lighting compared to super bright leds.

X360 controllers are simple to take apart.  I put colored buttons in my transforming d-pad one.  I didnt like the white/gray buttons.

Hey poker are you upgrading to XB1? If so, are you changing your username to pokerXB1? ;)
Yes i'm getting XB1, no not changing it haha. I honestly hate my username (but it's kind of stuck and i use it on multiple forums, here, gamefaqs, neogaf, etc.) i made in back in 2007 when i was 14 or 15* i think... i was really into texas hold em and xbox 360.

In that case that is a perfect fit for your name. Plus poker360 rolls of the tongue a bit better. Here's to next gen and the deals they will bring. Big thanks to you and your thread.

Yay, my WII U shipped. Time to get some games for it.
No, no, no. You're doing it all wrong. You buy the games, first, even if you're not sure if or don't know when you'll ever get the console. Cheapasshoarders.com

I can see some of us climbing out of homes full of games and going to rehab for hunting more than playing. My great grandkids' grandkids' ancestors shall have an heirloom backlog.
