CAG PS3 Fighting Game Matchmaking Thread - Injustice out NAO!
'94 was ghetto, '95 was the first good one, '96 had The Immortal Boss Team, '97 was aight, except it had like no music, '98 is THE BEST. '99 was hilarious with the Kyo army. 2000 was good. 2001 SUCKED, 2K2 is good shit, Neowave doesn't exist, XI is great, XII stinks.
96 had more then the boss team. It had the best music
I wonder when that was made because I only played Super Street Fighter IV once online (when I first got it).
Good match between hank and tmk.

Someone was HATING ON DA HOMIES earlier. Had to give them the Dread Kicks with HOMIE BEAT.

You guys really go after tmk for whatever reason. You really should have left it unedited and showed the guy that played him. Now I really want to know.

If anyone wants to play me in Super Street Fighter IV, I'll do it this weekend....I'm serious. I'm off for 4 days from work and will finally have time.

I'm up for some SF this weekend. Saturday I might be going to a convention, but I'm completely free Today, Friday and Sunday. Feel free to add me and invite me if you get a group going.
If it wasn't hank playing him it must have been valk. ;)
And the last horse finally crosses the finish line.

Anyway, I should have posted the video when option.iv kept spamming when playing jman at BlazBlue. :p

But eh, I'm honestly not a big Street Fighter player. I'm mostly Guilty Gear, Battle Phantasia, and somewhat BlazBlue.
And the last horse finally crosses the finish line.
He should have not had it edited to start with. I figured it was him after beef dropped a hint.
He should have not had it edited to start with. I figured it was him at the hint beef gave.
I wouldn't exactly call what I said a "hint," per se.
Nice job, Valk. ;D
More like a straight-up revelation.
i think it was Vuraizen

Hes a sneaky bastard.
I dunno, looks like Vlitz6speed to me.
Anyway, I should have posted the video when option.iv kept spamming when playing jman at BlazBlue. :p
Spamming or mashing? Accusing somebody of spamming is scrub talk! If it works, then keep doing it.

Mana Knight. One problem. Only NERDS play Guilty Gear, Battle Fantasia is deader then KOF XII, and Blazblue is also known as the BITCH version of Guilty Gear. Nobody cares about Ragna/$$$na or Jin Ice Crap. There's a reason only weaboos play them and that's because they will never be accepted by HOMIES. Best forget those games and learns yous some Street Fighta FO.

I say this the nicest way possible. What the fuck does that mean?

Weaboos? Homies? Have you lost your damn mind?
VikingLongwood... isn't that hank's psn name?
Yah it is, bro. And no way can I match your randomness. That's like, S+ rank mashing. ^_^

I'd need to mod up both my stick and buttons to be turbo. :bouncy:

And I think Paco has had one too many Ganja Tacos.

Dread Kicks is one of the other names for Deejays Jack Knife. Also some people call them up kicks or lift kicks. The reason Dread Kicks stays is because in Super Turbo those kicks were comboable with another dread kick and the dread kick was one of the most effective anti airs in the game that was also comboable with another. That's where the term Dread Kicks comes from.

And Weaboos is the general term for most fans who play Guilty Gear or Blazblue. The actual definition is

"A negative term directed to anyone overly obsessed with Japanese culture to the point where they become annoying.Used frequently on the image boards of 4chan. Most weaboos are uneducated about their obsession of choice and are often noobs who are overly zealous, trying to impress others with their otaku knowledge. Another trait of a weaboo is their desire to "be Japanese". While the two terms are often fused together, weaboos are very different from anime fans or enthusiasts. A fan may be just as enthusiastic and knowlegable about Japanese culture, mainly anime, but they neither boast about their knowledge nor call themselves otaku(because of its known negative connatation)."

And that goes for most all Guilty Gear and Blazblue fans since most of the appeal in those games comes from the weaboo subset. Street Fighter and King of Fighters along with Dead or Alive don't carry those connotations due to having more world wide appeal hence being more acceptable. There's a nice and long discussion on this, but it's easier to put it on this.

And the Deejay as a homie comes from his musical talents and his haircut along with being more relaxed then the other fighters hence homie time.

Commenting on the greatest match of all time, I'm pretty sure the j. lp by ken to punish ryu's whiffed tatsu is the most godlike round finisher I've seen.

and as for weeaboo (yes, two e's), it just means wapanese, meaning wannabe japanese. "wapanese" is supposedly derogatory, so it was word filtered to weaboo on 4chan. in a simpler definition of paco's, it is just someone who thinks japan is the shit, and everything from it, is also.

are you a /b/rother paco?

I would enjoy having Paco on ignore a lot more if people would stop quoting him all the damn time. :whistle2:?

Why would you do that? You guys could be brothers.

Mr. Beef and Mr. Paco. It would be like the movie Stepbrothers, but 100% more Mexican.

SSF4 question. I'm a casual player, and one ultra move that always hits me is M. Bison's ultra where he air stomps you. People usually use it as anti-air and it always hits me. My question is, does that stomp have crossover properties? I am always really close when people initiate it and I can't tell which way to block I always get hit.

I know it's wrong to laugh at this post, but I literally LOL'D at this picture.

And shenanigans are good in fighting game topics while we wait for other fighting games to come out. Otherwise we're going to only be talking about Street Fighter and there's only so much we can do on that.

Finally found a copy of SNK VS Capcom Match of the Millenium great fighting game for a portable.

Got to play some SSFIV with TMK. Yep you heard me right. The TMK. He said it himself. We played SFIV back in the day and had some pretty good games. He just don't play fighters much anymore or have time for it. GG'S Mana. I hope you still play me again someday. I was holding back quite a bit. I got cocky with Cammy. I let you get close and took it away. I had to mess with you some. Feels like a honor to play TMK since he rarely plays. I was really thrilled about it and wanted to play him. He made my day.

It can cross you up. I took out a guy taunting that way

It can most definitely cross you up. The easiest way to dodge it is to neutral jump after the Ultra flash. You can also SRK him out of it, if you're feeling bold. It has no invincibility frames on the way down.

Also, Bison's U2 isn't technically an anti-air, and doesn't actually hit while you are in midair. You're probably being hit by the dustcloud as he lands, which can hit as you're landing.

Straight up jump? Huh. Gotta try that. I usually play Ibuki, and when I do kick DP with her, he jumps over my DP's hit box, and stomps me on the way down.

Yes, that's what I meant, and I always get hit by it.

Well, the Bison matchup is bad enough for Ibuki, so I feel your pain there. It just takes a lot of patience, spacing, and trickery to pull out the W.

If you can manage to make Bison's headstomp/Devil's Reverse whiff, however, it's a free Ultra 2 for you. Also, most Bisons will try and to scissor kick, poke, scissor kick. If you notice that they're getting a bit PREDICTABO with that, you can do Ibuki's command grab after the first scissor kick to nab them out of it.
