I got a feeling we'll be seeing LOTS of drawn out, boring promos tonight, not sure why exactly
I'm sure we will get 20 minutes of Cena calling Orton a homo/fart juice followed by 30 minutes of HHH screaming "I AM THE GAME" at anybody who looks at him backstage.

I wish they'd give Punk the ball for one second and stop jobbing him out to Morrison.

I mean, really. This is fucking ECW. He is striaght edge, and you're telling me the best thing you can do with him is put him in a feud with Morrison? He needs to go heel. That's where I always thought he shined the best. And howabout putting him in feuds with people like the sandan, RVD would have worked, just people known for long time drug and alcohol abuse. Hell, they could do the whole Raven vs CM Punk thing but have someone else play Raven's part and the fans'll never know. But htis whole Morrison vs. Punk thing..uh uh. Goin' nowhere.

Ya know, when you think about it, that would actually be hilarious. Assuming each segment only lasted 30 seconds instead of minutes, you could have Triple H just going around backstage screaming "I AM THE GAME!" at everyone he sees. Although, I guess Farooq kind of already has that gimmick.
I wish they'd give Punk the ball for one second and stop jobbing him out to Morrison.
Because Johnny Mnemonic has always had a brighter future? John Hennigan is a future SD/Raw champ. What his name will be when that happens no one knows, but I believe it will happen as long as he continues to improve on the mic. That's the sole reason he's even in ECW in the first place.

I do like your ideas of who they should've feuded CM with; although, I just can't agree with the "Morrison/Punk" feud going nowhere. Punk continues to score wins over Morrison on ECW's show, but then falls short when Punk cheats him at a ppv. This feud works a lot better with Punk chasing the title, instead of the belt being hot-potato'd back and forth. Plus, most importantly these two are putting on some damn good matches.

Glad to see Jeff back in action after that nasty bump he took a few weeks back.

And I expect to see Kennedy missing the mic in the next Botchamania.

Dude... he meant to do that!

I definitely expect the Hardy fall in the next Botchamania. That was one of the worst accidental falls I've ever seen in 20+ years of watching wrestling.

So... Umaga turns heel again, and we just proceed as though the past month never happened. Makes me wonder if WWE wanted the IC belt on Jeff all along.

Interesting. Jeff gets benched for a few weeks in the middle of a feud with Umaga, while in the meantime Umaga turns babyface, and upon Jeff's return things pick right back up where they left off with Umaga squashing Jeff, turning him heel once again.

Is there anyone that streams RAW? I forgot it was going to be on Sci-Fi.
Great another Vince yak-fest coming up, why am I still watching this garbage
Now I remember why, Trips is back.

One-eyed Wendy FTW

Shelton is now Butch Reed Jr.?
Is there anyone that streams RAW? I forgot it was going to be on Sci-Fi.
It is on USA in 45 minutes or so.

 Oh that was great, the whole time my friend and I were just begging for Orton to kick Cena's dad in the head, and he did! Now Cena will be out there demanding another match with Orton next week.
Shelton is now Butch Reed Jr.?.
 You're not the only one thinking that, either Reed or The Cat!

Also, please tell me that's not you in your avatar going "KENNEDY!!!"

That was a great way to set up a rematch for those two and a nice exclamation point for the night. Definitely better than the last few weeks of RAW.

Impact spoilers for the next 2 weeks - http://www.gerweck.net/news/1188266836.shtml

News - http://www.gerweck.net/news/1188261079.shtml

Christian's DVD will be coming out on 10/19, alongside Hard Justice '07.

Here's Christian's DVD cover -
christiancagedvdartnm0.jpg

Quite possibly the best wrestling DVD cover yet, and easily TNA's best.

My mind is boggled after reading that...
the Motor City Machine Guns lost to VKM in 90 seconds, who then lost to Shark Boy and EY.

Like J.R., I thought of Sweet Daddy Siki when I saw Shelton's new hair, as he was an incredible talent, which wasn't true of the Cat (at least in the ring).

That's the best Cover for a DVD of all time, wrestling or otherwise. His T-Shirt similar to that is awesome too and I had to buy one :)

Bryan saw an eye specialist today and it was found that he had a detached retina. He had laser surgery today where they re-attached the retina and tightened the muscles surrounding the eye. The reason his eye couldn't come down after the match was because the muscle was loosened. It's an outpatient surgery, so he was released today after having surgery this morning. The surgery went well, and there's a 90% he will regain vision, although it may be blurred.

It is recommended he take 4-6 weeks off. He will have a check up next week and the week after to check on his progress. I promise you all that we will not rush Bryan back. Bryan is maybe the toughest individual I've ever known and that covers a lot of ground. No one saw the locker room scene after almost all of his matches after the shoulder injury and how much pain he was in and how he was able to gut it out at his own insistence. This isn't a guy that takes pain killers or anything even close. He is also a guy that knows his limits. He is just incredibly tough.

Going back to Saturday, I started watching the Bryan vs. Morishima match in the locker room with the rest of the crew. The entire locker room was cringing at Bryan's kicks and Morishima's strikes. I found myself just rising and working my way to the curtain so I could watch it in person in the middle of the crowd. I got so lost in the match I couldn't tell you how long it was or at what point I made my way through the curtain to watch the match unobstructed on the ramp. Simply put, it was one of the greatest matches I've ever seen. The great fans of New York really brought it to the next level as the crowd reactions were among the most intense in ROH history. I was elated after the match because after all this is what I enjoy. That elation soon turned to panic and dismay when Paul Turner passed me on the ramp and said "he can't see out of his eye."

Everyone was in a great mood backstage and that quickly changed when Bryan sat down and word began to spread. The entire crew came over to see how Bryan was doing, who of course was taking it like a champ and saying it was no big deal. His eye was telling a different story. As the doctor was looking at it, his eye was rolled back into his head and it stayed that way. Bryan couldn't control it. It was really hard to look at. I can't even imagine how Bryan got through this.

Forgotten in all this is the fact that Morishima's leg was pretty messed up after the match too. I will have an update on him when I get one. He was limping really badly after the match and his thigh/knee area was bruised red.

After glancing over the TNA spoilers for the next two weeks, I suggest you all make plans on Thursday so you don't watch this show, even by accident. Go kayaking, take up knitting, join a local chapter of Oprah's book club.

Whatever you do, don't watch Impact for the next two weeks unless you want to hate yourself and TNA.

I've dealt with retinal detachment for all my life, so I really hope Danielson ends up being okay after his injury, as they can really change your life for the worse depending on how severe they are. Zen, did you create that text, or is it available somewhere online (like an ROH wrestler's myspace)?

Could someone post the impact! spoilers, sans-results?
The only way for TNA to get any worse after reading those spoilers would be
having Angle job to Pacman.

Bet on it.
Yeah. I have a feeling Truth and Pac-Man are gonna be tag champs.

TNA's gotta get their priorities straight.

Gabe just updated on Danielson's condition a little while ago and I copied and pasted it here.

I know a lot of people don't watch Ring of Honor but Bryan Danielson and Takeshi Morishima legitamately put on the match of the year last Saturday. It was incredible and they were absolutely pounding the shit out of each other like they were in the UFC. If you can - do your best to catch this one match because it was insane how badly these two guys beat each other up. Really, really watch this match.

I don't know whether I should be happy that Hardcore Holly's career appears to be over or sad that he didn't get saddled with this wrestlecrap gimmick on a show I never watch.
Bob Holly has been having more elbow problems after his surgery. He told management in OVW that he had lost feeling in his arm from his elbow to his hand. A similar case of nerve damage brought Ultimo Dragon's career to a close. According to Meltzer, the plan for his return had been to move him to Smackdown (due to heat with ECW writer Dave Lagana) and team him up with Eugene. They would be a reluctant odd couple and be managed by a trained monkey. That is the most brilliant plan of all time. Hopefully they can still bring the monkey up from developmental. Perhaps he could be the Boogeymonkey?
After just watching a recording of Raw (dvr ftw!) I think they timed everything wrong...

Sure, they could've had Orton start the show complaining how he didn't win at Summerslam and whatnot but then Triple H comes out and challenges Orton for the top spot at Unforgiven. But then we get John Cena who says he wants to challenge Triple H....how the hell does that make sense? Alright, I'm in my hometown so I want to be up against the returning guy who is more popular than me and on top of that IT DIDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!! I thought for sure Regal was coming out to tell everyone that the main event would be Orton vs. Triple H in a #1 Contenders Match, but nope - its King Booker vs. Cena, and again how the hell does that make sense?! One more thing, when Triple H finally did come out it was probably in the worst possible segment...for me at least. I don't know if it was supposed to be obvious that the skit would lead to McMahon saying "I love cocks" but seriously...THEY COULD'VE HAD HIM MAIN EVENTING!!!

Sad. Seriously, a trained monkey? The potential for the monkey to go berserk and pull someone's arm out of it's socket ala Chewbacca would've made Smackdown a must-see for me.

thanks hhh for wasting 20 mins of my life. fat tranny and cock jokes are so lame, id rather watch mickie james jump up and down in a skirt or Lord forbid john cena do a freestyle. hhh should just go back to jumping people from behind and being a total dick.
fat tranny and cock jokes are so lame
Are you not the same piece of shit that said you laugh every time you hear Michael Vick's name because it sounds like dick?
Are you not the same piece of shit that said you laugh every time you hear Michael Vick's name because it sounds like dick?
thanks for the flame, im glad im in your head :) and hearing abc announcers say, vick scrambles to the right and unloads is a lot funnier than hearing hhh rant about the same stuff as always.
I'm not high on Cena as the champ but Orton is a lousy choice. He has a history of immaturity and plain, old, dumb-assery with the WWE and now his "punishment" has consisted of "legend-killing" Shawn Michaels & RVD and dethroning John Cena, a guy who has now held his title through all manner of monsters.

I understand the WWE is in dire straits with all their injuries but come on, don't make Orton into a god this year. That fucker should still be throwing headlocks in dark matches as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT - Although I did appreciate the funny story someone posted in here about Orton trading shirts at a... restaurant was it? Anyhow, sure, he deserves another chance but I'd rather have him take it off someone who is more of an interim champion than Cena has turned out to be.
im the guy orton traded shirts with, sorry this is so much further down the thread, i just barely have access to the internet right now and my friend just sent me the picture from her digital camera like sunday.... but heres a picture

and the story breaks down like this.... the wwe did a house show in lexington, ky in mid june. i wasnt able to go due to work, but my brother calls me from applebees that night about 1130 or 12 and says a few of the guys are up there and are being really cool with autographs and pictures and shit, so me and my friend paul go up there and the three guys at the bar are orton, santino, and i think dan rodimir. so i go up say hey to all of them, and im in mid-sentence when orton says 'thats a cool shirt man, whered you get it?' and i telll him my buddies made them back in college and they had the idea to start selling them, he says the shirt is really cool and rodimir chimes in with a 'do you smoke dope?' question. so orton makes a couple more comments before i jokingly look at him and say if he likes it that much i would trade him shirts right on the spot. he questions me about how clean the shirt is and stuff but after a minute we went to the bathroom switched shirts and walked back out where my severely drunk brother and his friends could not stop laughing, walking back out to the bar area, first thing orton does is walk up to a table of girls , pull the shirt down and say 'ladies, isnt my shirt fucking awesome.' so for all the shit orton gets as a wrestler and he may be a general dick back stage, but from what i could tell, hes awesome when it comes to fans.

great story, but i thought orton used to smoke rvd style too?

Bryan Danielson is scheduled to wrestle at PWG's Battle Of Los Angeles Tournament taking place this weekend. Something tells me he'll miss the tournament, possibly dropping the PWG Title along the way. Looks like BOLA will have a title up for grabs as well.

I have heard Adam Pearce has taken his spot.

as far as i know orton still does, even though with vince telling all the wrestlers to get off illegal drugs if they were on any a few weeks back that couldve calmed down a bit.... but i somehow doubt it

I've said it before but i'll say it again. Randy Orton is always out and about where i live and i've run into him a couple times and he's been nothing but awesome.
*Orton love*
i shared most of the story in a previous thread, but i didn't remember the part about him approaching the girls. that's fucking gold.

Yeah, yeah. I get a bit too pissed off at Orton sometimes. Or I'm not mad enough at Cena.

Whatever, things'll get better (I hope) once some guys are healthy again. I'm personally hoping Undertaker returns and is able to still put on some good matches, shame it looks like he's set to feud with sluggish monsters.

I had a period of about 2 years where I shat upon the 'taker (early internet smark smarminess I suppose) but now that I'm re-watching the 3 DVD set of his stuff, he can really go considering his size. Obviously I'm not looking for him to springboard plancha anyone but his match against Lesner at the 2002 No Mercy is possibly the best "Hell in a Cell" match I've ever seen and that's coming from a huge Foley mark.
I have heard Adam Pearce has taken his spot.
Adam Pearce has taken his spot for the NWA World title match, but I'm not sure about the PWG booking. As for the Rock... well, I doubt that'll be a good movie, or worthwhile in any way, but doing a Disney movie is a fairly big deal, it'll probably expand his fanbase, and it's not like he's just done A-list stuff his entire acting career anyway.

3 things:

Why would the Rock do that?

That Orton story is awesome.

And a trained Monkey would be reason for me to watch SD every week. Are there any plans for this monkey still?
