OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you. :)

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) since they do have the abillity to bann you from all GameRush locations if they want to.
It's a shame that gamerush is not taking any orders for the PSP system. I think they will be missing out on money that they could have made from all those pre-orders.
I'm pretty sure they'll still sell out of any they recieve, they just wont have to worry about people bitching they didnt get thier pre-ordered unit.

I believe that you can preorder PSP games. We've got a list of about 20 PSP titles and their part numbers. The email indicates there will be about 12 games available at launch (late March), including a Grand Theft Auto game. Of course, I don't know how reliable this information is, as I've heard next to nothing about the GTA game. I looked up a few of the games in the computer and they all come up at $39.99.

I agree, but the point I was making was that when the DS was released at Gamerush, they only received 8 the first day they were released and they have never had them back in since. Gamerush in the Cleveland areas are not getting any more DS until March. With the new release of the PSP, I would have thought that Gamerush would have learned from there DS mistake but I see they have not.

drfrielgood,

Can you tell us the list of games that Gamerush will have available for the PSP at launch? Also, are you sure that they will not be taking any pre-orders for the PSP system? It seems rather strange that you can preoder PSP games but not the system itself. To me that makes no logic.

Thanks
Good question how much is Men of Valor worth for trade in.
I traded one in some days ago and it only got $8-9

I just got back from Gamerush and they have a new deal were if you trade in two games you can pre-order any game for $34.99. Not too bad. It doesn't really say when it ends but it's probably the new promotion since the Trade 3 get a game for $29.99 ends on the 31st.

In the new EGM there's an ad for the new GamRush deal that's been mentioned already. The ad is on page #55 (GodFather is on the cover). Page 75 has another GR ad, but nothing special.

This might've been said already. It says the New Deal Trade 2 Get ANY Pre-order for $35 - Ends 2-28-05.

Did it start already there? If so I wonder if the PSX sale has started as well.

Can you use the trade 3 get a new game for 29.99 on PSP games? Anyone try it?

I have a few more games to trade in Sunday before the 3/29.99 deal ends.

Wow that game has dropped fast. I tried the game last week when Bestbuy had it for $19.99. It was too linear... I traded it in this past Monday and it was $28... must have been changed in the system Tuesday.

awesome! Time to pick up some DC games. There were a few at my local GR that I hesitated on in the past but at .99 cents, I'll be stocking up on them. I'll be up in about 4 hrs to get them.

No go on .99 cent games at the stores in my area... they even checked the emails...

Who started this one??!?

-----------------------------------------

UPDATE:

OK - it's .99 on SNES, NES, and DC.

The retro game sale IS on. There is no signage for this deal, they aren't really advertising it. If you'd like to confirm it for yourself, ask a Gamerush employee to price check ANY NES, SNES, Genesis, or Dreamcast game. They will all come up for .99.

For those new to the thread, this guy works at a GR. He knows what he's talking about

also, the "Game guy" is what the regular, pre-GR employees call someone that was hired speciffically for GR

Nope. I checked. I was really hoping GB and GBC games would be .99.

Just got back from GR........the .99 clearance isn't on PS1 or N64 games. It did work on Dreamcast and probably would have for snes and genesis (& NES ??) games. I didn't see anything interesting for Genesis or Snes, tho.

I got Evolution, Tokyo extreme Racer, and RE: Code Veronica for .99 each. Total cost was $3.15. Interestingly, it didn't do the buy one get one 1/2 off. They must consider the clearance a discount or something and can't double up. But, for .99 I'm not complaining.

EDIT -- oops, i just saw the post aboving confirming what systems are included.

I might pick up some games, but I don't even have any of the old systems. My cousins have a NES, and I'm probally going to get a DC since they are so cheap, so this could work out really well. :)

Oh crap if it was, i would have spent in excess of $100. I would have pillages both of my Gamerushes. I wish. I hope they do that sale soon.

Macomb, MI on 24 and Hayes. All they have left is Crazy Taxi 1 and 2, bass fishing and sports games. oh, and rippin riders (snowboarding). They had a few genesis and very few snes games.

Found alot of stuff - not bad for $10

DC: Seaman

Genesis: Batman & Robin, Madden 92, and Herzog Zwei

Snes: Mario All Stars, Yoshi's Island, Stunt Race FX, Rival Turf, Warios Woods, and Brandish

I called a Gamerush in OKC, and the guy said they weren't starting the sale until Tuesday.

I am the game manager at the store in Warr Acres - who did you talk to and what store? If it was tyler he's wrong. The price download is in all the computers it won't be posted just employees will need to update the stickers. Check out hefnerand rockwell theyhave tons of genesis

Only managed to get Space Channel 5 for the DC after going to 2 different GR's. There's too many CAG's in the Dallas area. I should've gone earlier.

Herzog Zwei?!? Excellent find.

That may be #1 on my list of '16-bit games needing to be updated'. Of course, I'd be more than satisfied if somehow it magically arrived on store shelves for current systems with the only addition being online play. =P~

I drove to 9, yes, nine GameRush today to sniff around for anything good for $0.99. Didn't come away with much good stuff:

SNES:
Goof Troop
Street Fighter II
Battletoads and Double Dragon
Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 3
Super Punch Out
Super Bomberman 2
Uniracers

Genesis:
Street Fighter II Champion Edition
Super Street Fighter II
Vectorman 2

Now I hit myself for not picking up Lion King, Mickey Mania, and Jungle Book for SNES... I'm sure someday when I have kids, they'll love these Disney games

Oh btw 2 of the 6 stores (I only bought from 6 of those stores out of the 9) combined this deal w/ B1G1 50% off. So a few games I got for 50 cents, but the other 4 stores just rang them up as is.
