There's a remove link under the item name/graphic on the first page of the checkout procedure (the 'basket' page).

When enter the basket page, it direct me right to the "add voucher" page

Now it worked. Selected PayPal, redirected me to PayPal site, login, accept... And redirected me AGAIN to the checkout page. This is very suspicious. I don't like it anymore. Will change my PayPal password just in case

Edit: and now my basket is empty. Magically. There was about 5 minutes left, but 2 clicks later it is empty. Too shaddy for my taste

Check the .log file.

SweetFX does not do magic

  • Wrong directoryMake sure you’ve selected the right directory. Some games need to have it put in a subfolder (usually bin or bin32)
  • If SweetFX loads, there should be a log.log file in the game’s directory.
[*]Antialiasing
  • Some games use a postprocessor step for antialiasing, and this can overwrite SweetFX’s changes to the image.
  • Try turning off ingame antialiasing. SweetFX have a SMAA filter that can compensate (sometimes even better than the original, and with less overhead)
[*]Not supported title
  • Some games are just plain out not supported. Games using OpenGL or old DirectX versions are not supported, and a few games are not injectable at all.
[*]64bit games
  • The injector only support 32bit programs. Run the 32bit version of the game
Aware of all these things, still no luck. I have no indication that the game is 64bit (I seriously don't think it is), I'm fairly certain it uses a compatible version of DirectX (it's not that old of a game), and there is NO log file.

I honestly don't know what's up.

The problem with that is the servers seem to be packed with 10th+ year pro-players who don't tolerate rookies.
Kinda sorta. Shopper is the most popular gametype, and it's loads of fun. Just learn the rules and practice your ninja roping skills offline. You're gonna get your ass handed to you in multiplayer, and you're gonna become the "cow" (the cow is someone who's not following the rules correctly, thus everyone will "kill the cow"), but you'll get the hang of it.

It's not L4D2 multiplayer or anything.

I was able to check out with Xcom with no issues about 10 minutes ago. I should have waited from the beginning instead of trying to get through earlier and getting pissed about it.

Ouch, got a bad exchange rate from Paypal but still a great deal on Xcom. They gave me .92 Canadian to US
I always have paypal set to charging my credit card the foreign currency so as to use the bank's exchange rate rather than Paypal's extortion rate

I've never looked into that. I have it set up to go through my bank account cause I believe it's cheaper, as far as transaction fees.

Using an attached credit card is free for purchases, but costs to send money using the "friends and family" option. But this is how to set the payment to charging you in foreign currency rather than using paypal's rates:

Wait until the deals switch over, there'll be a voucher to use on it, or $2 credit.. someone might help you out then.

Ok thanks! Too bad everytime GMG have a mega sale, I cant access their site.

Hopefully someone will be tempted enough to buy it for me if they can get a $2 credit in return.

Where can you see that option? I cant seem to find it. :(

Nevermind, I saw the reddit post after I post this.

Damn! I still cant access the site. Anyone willing to help me buy Lost planet?

DMC good o no? (20$ after extra 20%)

I did it. I figure best Steam will do is probably 24.99. It's rare when Steam will do more than 50% on a Capcom title. I imagine around Halloween or in early Fall they'll do a price drop.

Then again, I might be wrong. Who knows? For $20, I figure I've waited long enough. I'll eat the rest. Didn't use Paypal though. Exchange rate is horrible.

Biting for LP:EC, Steam MSRP is cheaper, but they haven't had a good sale on it in years. Can't beat $2.50 after yesterdays credit and the voucher. Too bad it didn't have a $2 credit or 20% voucher, but beggars can't be choosers.

Still waiting on DMC to hit $15 or less.   Stupid Capcom pricing.  Activision is the same way.  $34 for AMS really? I got it from gamefly for like $10 not long ago.

Think the days of knowing the sales in advance are over for GMG. The latest image file was:

http://wizzywizzyweb.gmgcdn.com/media/backgrounds/666-Promo_Super-Takeover10-89045.jpg

Assuming they are now adding random characters to the end, may never find the future ones. Oh well, twas fun well it lasted. I was able to do a directory scan, but it wasn't complete, only had the image files through 9

Also, for anybody interested in Judge Dredd, it is also currently in the Indie Royale Bundle with 4 other games for $6. Might be worth a look if the other games are worth a buck each to you.

this is the colonies ediiton the other one right it the same price colonies edition on steam right?

I must be masochistic, but regardless of all the critical panning, I'm still tempted to grab Jurassic Park at 75% off (with additional 10% voucher).  Someone please stop me, haha...

With all of the Telltale games that keep showing up in Indie Royale & Humble bundles --including licensed properties like Back to the Future and The Walking Dead-- you might as well wait it out a bit. The price is only going to come down...

Also, I don't see it listed on the main images, but Crysis 3 is 50% off. Origin key. It's on the 666 page so not sure if it is tied to the same 6 hour time limit and 10% voucher or not.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the free games are nixed for the time being.

Per the blog...

Progress update - July 3rd Hi - sorry about this evening - we had a significant hardware failure while running at 20 times the traffic of our normal average for this time of year. This hardware failure stopped you from getting to the deals, and that's the hardest thing for us to take. Our supplier was excellent, though, at working with us and getting replacement hardware deployed as soon as possible.

So what have we changed?
Firstly, the sale continues - we are determined to bring you the best deals on the market in our sale. That's what we're about - it's what we want and need to do for you.

Secondly, we have cancelled the other free game giveaways we were going to run - we'll look at doing these at some point after the sale, so it doesn't stop those wanting the deals - we know a lot of you want free games, but we've had a lot of feedback that recommends we put back the free games so you can pick up the titles you've been waiting for a discount on, and this is exactly what we're going to do. We don't want to jeopardise our relationship with you all. So, from now, any free game giveaways in this current sale are cancelled. Period.

Finally, I'd hope we're a lot more humble - we've had some problems and you've stuck with us. We've been in business for just over 3 years and we're selling globally - and you are part of that. We might not get it right every time but, make no mistake, we are all about getting great games to you.

Keep talking to us - good, bad or indifferent, it will make us better.

Thanks,
James, George, Darren and the rest of the GMG Team

I think nixing the free games is for the best.

Personally, I fully understand. While new/better/more hardware is an ideal long term solution, that is an expensive fix and the vast majority of the time the traffic to their site doesn't justify that cost. Hell, even Steam typically goes down at the start of their major sales and periodically during them.

Yeah wow, that's a pile of turds right there.

Apparently they're hiding their background art, not out of suspense, but out of shame.

I probably would have picked up Lost Planet if I hadn't been sleeping (that's twice they've run deals I was interested in during that period and I've missed them.)

Pass for this poor round.

New deals:

"Great bonus offer": 10% off coupon. GMG10-VTTCS-VYH18

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City: $29.99 $7.49 (-75%)

Worms Blast: $7.99 $1.59 (-80%)

Natural Selection 2: $24.99 $8.49 (-66%)

Company of Heroes Complete Pack: $29.99 $10.19 (-66%)

F1 2012: $39.99 $9.99 (-75%)

Jagged Alliance Complete Pack: $39.99 $9.99 (-75%)

Not a bad REORC price at all. I'd probably grab it if I wasn't so broke.

The game isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It's a serviceable third-person cover shooter in the Resident Evil universe with a nice mix of characters, character upgrades, and great zombie shooting physics. It's nothing special, it's not doing anything that similar games of the genre aren't doing, and it has its flaws, but it's still a solid game (for that price).

Is the JA Complete Pack just one key? Or seperate? I actually have everything but the Crossfire expansion and that's never really been on sale
