Got my Doctor Who key. 6 GB... ugh. :p

Edit: Wait a sec, Sumo Digital made this? The Sonic Racing devs?
At least they have solid RPG experience.

They've got a spotlight on Evopollution right now. $1 for the game, no other options. Didn't see it mentioned yet, which I thought was surprising because usually I'm the last one to notice these things; so sorry if everybody already knows. >>

No, we just don't talk about Spotlights, like we don't talk about full MSRP games.

For someone that's never played Chrono Cross (somehow), what makes it better than Trigger?

Because Trigger is probably my favorite JRPG. It's one of two that I have played all the way through multiple times.

The other being FF IX. VII will join those ranks eventually, thanks to Uplay (for selling it for $3) and HD mods.
I fell in love with the characters in Chrono Cross far easier than I did in Trigger. As much as I love Crono and Lucca and the gang, it's an older game and I think it's natural that advances in graphics and whatnot lend more connection and personality to characters. People do complain that Chrono Cross is all quantity and not quality when it comes to the characters (there's 45 or so playable ones...), but there's a massive array of side quests and character involvement of most if not all of the characters you can use, as well as obvious focus on the main ones (Serge, Kid, Lynx, etc).

Besides that, I preferred the battle style, the magic system, and general depth to the game. There's so much to do, so many secrets to uncover, characters to recruit and experiment with, etc etc. The soundtrack is the most beautiful one I've heard in a game, ever. The hand drawn environments are utterly gorgeous, the world is vibrant, not too big, not too small, varied locations and hidden areas. The story is intricate and connects with Trigger as you get farther into it, and is both interesting enough to enjoy on your first play through as well as your fourth as deep connections and understandings become clearer to you (unless you just beat the game and then read the mountains of explanations online).

I'm really overhyping the game here, but it's hard for me not to. I love Chrono Trigger as well, so realize this isn't coming from someone who hates one game in the series and loves the other. I just like Chrono Cross so much more. I haven't come across a good an RPG... ever. The closest I would put against it is Final Fantasy Tactics, which is equally deep in both gameplay and story, but even then that dark, political/religious story is much different than what's going on in Chrono Cross, and less enjoyable in my opinion.

You like FF9? Please leave. That was one of the worst games, with some of the most pointless, whiniest characters ever. The actual bosses made me rofl, with the exception of Ozma, who is pointlessly hard. And the strategy guide was a ploy for the short-lived PlayOnline website and gave hardly any valuable clues aside from Tetra Master card listings.

Chrono Cross is about a bajillion times better than that turd. Sure, there are tons of characters, and some of them are useless, but at least you don't have to catch frogs for them.

Yet FF9 was infinitely better than FF7. Cloud is one of the most badly written characters I've ever come across in a Final Fantasy game, and that's saying something.

I liked playing Cloud. He was a nutcase. PTSD, multiple personaiity, crippling self esteem issues.

Not many characters get to have a complete psychotic break on camera. It was hilarious.

Up until he stopped thinking he was Zack at least, then he just got kinda emo. Freakin' sequels...

Or CAG Fight Club.

But FWIW, it looks like a mildly interesting concept executed poorly.
I have no doubt that the CAG Fight Club was executed poorly, but I'm not sure the concept was ever much better...

EDIT: There seems to be a lot of talk going on about the best Squeenix RPG. I don't want to get too involved, so I'll just leave the correct answer here:

I just noticed that Groupees included another one of Mirage's EPs in that regional bundle.

I'm buying it just because of that. That dude (?) makes good music.

Trading Cards shipped from our side at day zero of the release, we don't think we have much authority on distributing them. However, we'll contact Valve to see if there is any tech problem regarding this issue. Thank you for pointing this issue out, will keep you posted on this.
The developers of Guise Of The Wolf responded on the issue for trading card but someone posted that Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan had the same issue and it was fixed in less than 72 hours. Guise Of The Wolf has been released close to 2 months and trading cards are still not available...

Correct. Mirage is comprised of one solitary French guy.

This is for you, I figure you'll appreciate it.. -> https://soundcloud.com/mirage_mirage
Bought the CotWB: Southern Europe last night.

Thanks for the reminder. I needed some new morning music because I'm definitely not a morning person. This fit the bill today. :D

I was ready to take on the world, er... leave the house per usual for daily drone duties.

Does Groupees have the deal where it gets cheaper to buy a bundle near the end or am I thinking of something else?
No, you're probably thinking of Happy Hour at Indie Gala.

Or what happens when a bundle at Indie Gala isn't selling (they lower the BTA price)

I think you're thinking of Gala or maybe Bundlestars (although im not sure if that's consistent)
BundleStars does 48-hour discounts on bundles before introducing them lately, but after that period, all they do is go up or down by a couple of cents.

With some Build-a-Bundles, they'll sometimes lower the required number of games to purchase towards the end of the bundle's run, which effectively lowers the minimum cost; I don't remember whether they've done that in a while, though.

It gets worse..

From the wiki -> A Nintendo 3DS sequel was released on November 2, 2011, titled Slime MoriMori Dragon Quest 3: The Great Pirate Ship and Tails Troupe.[3]

It hasn't seen release outside of Japan.. YET. *dramatic music*

It has a sequel? That is worse.

Not only did we never get the first game, now we're never getting the third!

Truly life has blessed us all.

I'm waiting for this so I'll get more copies of Arson and Plunder and Heroes of Steel.

Groupees did run a promo on reddit one time, where if the thread got enough upvotes they'd lower the price on a bundle for a short period of time. It failed and didn't get the required amount of upvotes. That was the only time I've seen them attempt something like that. I was kind of glad it failed tbh, because I bought the bundle before they attempted that.
