I'm gonna grab all the games apart from the two RPG maker games. I was hoping Groupees would drop the sale to a single item bundle at some point but I guess they're not with this one.

Sometimes I hate Indie Gala, and then other times I wish other sites were more like them.

It's like they specifically picked these two out of spite for the man, haha.

But in all seriousness, I need to give you guys some background on why not to buy Guise of the Wolf.

After TotalBiscuit did his video that I linked to, the devs filed false copyright claims to try and remove the bad review (even though the review falls under fair use), and a strike was placed on his account (bad thing as it messes with his ad money).

He e-mailed the devs about it, and they said this.-> http://imgur.com/47f4jt6 and denied filing the claim.

They also said that if he tweeted or shared the e-mail, they would deny it. TotalBiscuit of course, tweeted a screencap of it, and they denied it (as well as the copyright claim), leading to an argument over Twitter.

The devs (FUN Creator) then e-mailed TotalBiscuit telling him to take down his channel, as they weren't "afraid of him", as their company was bigger than his "silly little YouTube channel", and if he didn't, they'd sue him. -> http://imgur.com/w1iLIhi

After confirmation that FUN Creator DID issue the claim, they backed down and the video was put back up and the strike removed.

I hate to get preachy on you guys, but if you are against this kind of shit, please do not buy Guise of the Wolf.

I don't really care what the biscuits of the world do or what the bitchy devs of the world do.  When it comes to figuring out if I like I game I'd rather just play it for 30 minutes than watch someone else playing it.  I mean the bundle is a dollar with a ton of games and music.  You'll be giving each dev like .05 cents or something.  There's really no moral ground to stand on.

You're more than welcome to do so. I was recommending you not buying Guise of the Wolf specifically because the devs are censoring shits, not necessarily the bad gameplay.

It's just you can easily buy the bundle WITHOUT Guise of the Wolf and still get everything else. I don't see what the harm is. It's a BaB, so none of the individual games are mandatory or have to get your money. I was just informing people who might be against what they did.

It's called having a gaming budget. I know I'm a #fakecag for this, but I only have a certain amount of money I put aside for games weekly (exactly so I can afford a computer, etc.), so sometimes I'll skip a good deal in favour of something else. And sometimes I'll go above my budget because something's really good, it doesn't make somebody "poor".

I wasn't calling anyone poor. I was just pointing out the term is thrown around too loosely by people who don't really know what being poor is.

And also, TotalBiscuit and all these utubers are just trying to get views because views = money. So they play up the reviews, try to find stupid shit to make fun of criticize, etc. I mean I know these guys have their clan of fanboys who probably watch more videos than ever actually play games. That's fine. Whatever floats their boats. I just see it for what it is.

Fair enough, misunderstood. You're right about the "poor" thing, I agree.

I know that's the MO for YouTube but is TB's video that bad? I don't know, I mean it's one thing to file a copyright claim to save face, but it's another to threaten to sue the guy if he doesn't remove his YouTube account/Twitter because he critiqued their game. I just can't condone that kind of thing, I mean even Castleminer Z didn't threaten anybody over the bad reviews. The only other case I can think of is Garry's Incident. It was a bunch of assholes thinking they could intimidate someone and it backfired, I can't help but root for the "little" guy in this scenario. Corporate/legal bullying happens all the time, TB just happens to be successful enough that he could actually afford lawyers for this instance.

Well, I'll just put this out there - given the amount and consistent viewership TB gets - he's probably the "big guy" in this equation and banks more money that the devs who got mad. Like I said before, the devs are acting like little bitches and no one condones that shit, but I paid like pennies for some shitty minecraft clone and some game with werewolfs or some shit so I'm not too caught up on the devs bitchassedness. Maybe if I paid full price.

As for CastleMinerZ, I don't mind Minecraft clones (even if Minecraft made me sick - no really, it gave me intense motion sickness) if they're entertaining. I don't know if it's entertaining. The screenshots show the player using some heavy weaponry, so... *shrugs*

Dudes the epitome of the whole "P.C. Master Race" BS but I still watch his videos. I just skip the obligatory 5-10 minutes of bitching about the menus that's in every video he does. Of course I watch a lot of crap as long as it's even remotely related to gaming in general.

Understandable. I do not blame you for not liking the man. At least you acknowledge the BS in the situation, that's all that matters.

Minecraft actually makes me sick too (after extended play) for the same reason, not sure why. But it's not a big deal, as I don't enjoy it much even when it doesn't make me sick. It's just kinda boring after the initial premise is introduced. It's aimless unless you're very much a visually creative type (which I am not). Exploring other people's shit is the best part of the game for me, but I don't know too many people who build crazy awesome things.

But then again, I've primarily played on the console version. Maybe it's tons better on PC.

Don't worry about having started anything, I would have probably mentioned it anyways as I know some people like being informed about those kind of shenanigans.
