I don't know who said Harvest Moon was 8$, but I went in under the impression that was the value. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the value is actually 10$ before any EDGE or Bonus credit. I'll let you all do the math to figure out how awesome this is.
I did - that's what they told me on the phone earlier in the day. Good to hear it is actually higher (they might have looked up a GC version by mistake? Who knows when they do it manually and don't scan the game).

Kinda amazing that a lot of you guys don't seem to have a problem finding harvest moon ds at your best buys, but I have been to probably 5 or 6 best buys and I have yet to see one copy of it by the ds section or the front lane section.

They were nowhere to be found for a while but about 2-3 weeks ago every BB around me got restocked with it. Now it appears to be gone again, but I'm hoping more show up soon ;).

My BestBuy doesn't have it in the front. Instead, it's on the shelf with all of the other DS games. It looks like they were recently restocked at my location (6+ copies), and the $9.99 price is very clearly noted on the shelf (not to mention, that's what it rings up at... pre-coupon).

Yeah, they most definitely are not frontlane stock - which is the only reason they are widespread at BB's (frontlane stuff is very shoddily stocked and different everywhere). The original UPC's ring up $9.99 so that is the official BB price. I keep buying this game to keep but I keep getting all these great trade-in deals thrust at me and end up using it for trade-in (before this it was the GC extra 50% deal - HM got $18 from that).

Eh...I have Lunar Knights and Castlevania PoR that I wouldn't mind getting rid of. Probably wont get enough from Gamestop to make it worth it though.

I got Gunpey for $5 after the Gamepro coupon from Best Buy, and if I can get Harvest Moon the same way, I'm all over this for trading them in for Gitaroo Man Lives.

There you go - that's the idea ;).

I'm thinking about do this with either cooking mama, sega casino, or trauma center. Anyone have updated prices on trauma center and sega casion (if they are accepting this). Also, how much is an edge card...don't have one yet :p

So, if I'm lucky, I can get $10 for Harvest Moon DS or $5 with a coupon...

Man, I'm really not feeling Best Buy after that supervisor insulted me.

The best you can profit from this deal sounds like $5-$10, your mileage varying on being able to use a coupon.

I'm hitting up CompUSA later today. They have "clearance" (usually overpriced).

I traded in some games today. I got 122.50 one store and 54.10 at a second store. All DS games.

the stupid worker guy at my ebgames didnt even try to mention the $10 promo. i brought in 4 PSP games and he told me, you'll get $20.XX for it. I was shock to think that that included the $20 promo (4 games).
can someone please PM me the BB gamepro coupon so i can take full advantage of this deal? :( please
Please note that the coupons have been expired since the 21st, so they may not be accepted.

I just got a price quote on Guilty Gear Reloaded. $9. I traded in 4 PSP games.

Guilty Gear Reloaded - $9
Daxter - $7
Syphon Filter:DM - $6
Powerstone Collection - $7

+$20 promo

= $49. Pretty good considering I spent ~$30 for all of these.

Worst case scenario... You have no EDGE card, BestBuy doesn't accept the GamePro coupons, and you buy 2 copies of Harvest Moon at 10$ each.

You still get 30$ for trading those in at EB/GS... netting you 8-9$ depending on tax in your area. I don't think that's too bad.

And best case scenario? You use a coupon on each copy of Harvest Moon, getting each for 5$. You use your edge card when you trade them in at EB/GS. You get $32.00, a net of over $21 credit, regardless of tax.

actually, i guess worst case scenario would be your BestBuy not having Harvest Moon, or your EB/GS employees being dicks and not accepting 2 copies of the same game.

FYI, instead of trading in Advance Wars DS, you should ebay it. For some odd reason they're going pretty high right now. Sold my copy and sisters' for about $41 shipped each on there (not including fees).

Eh, I need to get rid of The Con (not expecting much) and something else. SOCOM: FTB2 still nets at least $10, right? I just beat it and hackers ruin online. I might as well get rid of it now before it goes GH.

It's an out of print first party game and EBay is the only place where it's easy to find (although at a high price). That seems to be the case for most out of print first party DS games, WarioWare Touched, Kirby Canvas Curse etc.

probably going to run to bb to pick up harvest moon regardless of trading it in.which harvest moon is it?

i m probably going to get rid of:
Ridge Racer DS
Nintendogs Chicuaua
WipeOut Pure
SD Vs. Raw 2006

edit- i called them and they said they cant give trade in values over the phone

Here's some prices (before bonuses)

Scourge Hive DS - $1
Magnetica DS - $7
Innocent Life A Futuristic Harvest Moon PSP - $11
Legend of Heroes PSP - $6
Popolocrois PSP - $3
Guilty Gear Judgment PSP - $9

After all bonuses I got $70.70
anybody know the trade-in price for LocoRoco PSP or Lumines PSP?

Thanks
Don't trade in Lumines - sell it on ebay. Youll get alot more for it - and i mean like 5 times more probably.

Yes, Pookymeister is a pro at this and his advice on this matter should be taken in.

Even with the discounts, I don't know why you wouldn't trade them or sell them here. The $10 bonus adds $5 per game (obviously), and that's still not too convincing if you ask me.

well some people are flippin over 2.99 games from kmart
gettin 2 games for say 6 dollars and making 4 dollars + about another 4 dollars for the regular values. so its about 8 dollars profit per trade if u can get 2.99 games..

Here are some more trade in values (All DS games traded today)

I'm updating the wiki now, so don't worry about adding them in.

Picked up 4 copies of Harvest Moon DS and 4 copies of Gunpey PSP from Best Buy for $42.32 after coupons/tax. Went to 4 different Gamestops (all within 5-10 minutes of each other...) and traded those in along with Asphalt Urban GT ($1 before discounts) and Goldeneye Rogue Agent ($4), both on the DS.

Made $121.50 in credit, preordered Bioshock LE for 360 and Phantom Hourglass on DS, renewed my Game Informer/Edge card for $14.99, and still have $6.53 left over. Very happy to essentially get 2 games and the subscription/bonus card for only $42.32. Awesome deal. :D I'm definitely gonna look for more cheap games to fully abuse this deal...

Now thats skill :applause:

You guys have now made me go take a trip to a couple of my best buys and see if they some how restocked harvest moon.

My bestbuy does not even have Harvest Moon DS in their systems. They keep mentioning Rune Factory Harvest Moon. Im from SoCal. Can someone elaborate?

I'm most impressed that he was able to get Best Buy to take EIGHT copies of the expired coupons! Oh, and that he was able to find a Best Buy with that many in stock!

I've been using those things like crazy but I'd never try to pass off that many at once.

Actually, I went last night right before the store closed, and bought 2 copies of HM and 2 copies of Gunpey. Saw that they had 2 more HMs but I unfortunately did not print off enough Wii/DS coupons. They took 4 coupons at once with no problem. Went back today, picked up the other 2 of each, and grabbed a Kingdom of Paradise. Took 5 coupons, again, with no problem. The HMs I know were recently restocked, up with the frontlane games. And the KoP had to have been added just this morning. On a related note, is there a general day when Best Buy restocks frontlane games or does it typically vary by store?
