i think the dot system is the best around

Are you talking about the low level dots? I thought it got pretty expensive to trade a white or orange dot game, and it seems to be "whatever the hell the sales person feels like it at the time" as to what dot level a game is.
i know i saw the owner at the maplecrest story back around xmas... mabye he was just there talking to the workers but he was behind the counter helping people...

dave was his name i think
Dave McGowan.
Are you sure about that.. I saw him at the maplecrest store around xmas.. They do own storesin fishers so maybe you heard He was down at fishers and though they said he sold out.
Both stores on Emerson and Southport had a box full of them that they were handing out to customers. I'd wager all you have to do is ask for one, if they don't offer you one out of the gate.
Cool, I was going to go to one of the Emerson stores and use the $30 coupon and trade in my Xbox.

I wonder who the new guy is and if the sale included the Fishers and Evansville stores.

The new guy is out of fishers... He bought the whole lot...

that might be why the dot system is so #$#$# up now. i know dave use to have a program they paid montly for to get the dots from.. the new owner probally said to hell with this and stopped paying for the sevice.

It also shows some light why the company has gone downhill big time in the last year... dave would never put up with half of the crap the workers pull....te one on washington the workers just stand around talking to people not even helping people

I still remember that Asian guy who worked at the one on Washington Ctr (who was kind of crazy).

Not sure if you guys saw it or not, but Team Fortress 2 is free this weekend. You can download it via Steam and play for free all weekend. Monday it'll disable itself. I enjoy this one a lot. It's my 2nd favorite to Portal out of the Orange Box.

Thanks for the heads up! :D

Shameless self plug.

I have a Panasonic Q, 2 boxed Samba De Amigo Maracas + game, and a Green Halo Edition Xbox for sale in the trading forums (CML).

Willing to deliver locally to reduce the price of shipping.

I'm looking for a deal on internet service, I'm in Lebanon 46052
The only places I can find are ATT, Verizon, and Comcast, all about $30
Anyone know of any deals or anything?

To any Evansville, IN CAGs, the Gamestop in the Eastland Mall is doing the Buy 2 Get 4 Free on all dvds. They will let you stack the edge card, but not the extra 10% Off coupon.

I'm using Comcast for internet. It's fast but their customer service sucks balls.

I'm on Verizon FIOS. I'm not sure if they've run it out into your area yet, but it rocks. It's helluva fast, and they don't seem to be screwing with our traffic like Comcast. I used to use their DSL and it was great if you didn't want cable.

If anyone is in the market for a Dualshock 2 controller for the PS2, the Best Buy in Fort Wayne near Jefferson Point had about 8 of the emerald ones on sale for $12.99.

However, part of that has to do with my Dad worked at Verizon for years (one of the management), retired because of a big package, and now works there again. My Mom worked there for a short time and my sister works at a Verizon Wireless in Carmel, IN.

My Dad is part of the FiOS project right now, and it's ONLY in Fort Wayne right now (as far as the Midwest is concerned). The next city which is most likely to get it next is Lafayette/West Lafayette, according to him. He said it will be a while until FiOS expands, because they gotta lay the fiber line around a city.
If anyone is in the market for a Dualshock 2 controller for the PS2, the Best Buy in Fort Wayne near Jefferson Point had about 8 of the emerald ones on sale for $12.99.
Yeah, I've seen, but right now I'm in the market for a Dual Shock 3. ;)

I kind of wanted to mention, I finally did graduate from Purdue this Spring, so I'm back home in Fort Wayne right now. Just kind of waiting for my Bachelors degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology to arrive at home (got the Diploma yesterday). Took me a year longer than expected due to Senior Project problems, but I'm finally done. Still got a GPA above 3.5, although that's disappointing to me (since I tried to get a 4.0, but never made it). I had to go to graduation yesterday. Sucked because I had to be there at 8:30am, so my family had to leave Fort Wayne at 6am. :whistle2:( I'm about to job search soon. My goal is to stay in the state of Indiana (I'll probably end up in Indy, since Fort Wayne doesn't have a lot). Although, my favorite Professor is trying to convince me to go to Grad School, but I'm kind of sick of school after going for 20 or more years in a row, and I want more money (instead of losing it). But since I'm not really sure where I'll end up, it may be a good option, but it's probably better for me to gain more work experience.

So anyway, I'll be more active in Fort Wayne looking for deals.

Oh yeah, just wanted to share a short experience which probably happened to a few while living in Indy. When I went to Circuit City there on Friday, there were a ton of open spaces up closer, but a Rolls Royce parks right next to me. I was taking a look (first time I ever saw one in person), and was amazed seeing the car doors open the opposite way. Then, when investigating the price of the car, my jaw dropped. Those must be the same people who could easily spend over $5000 in Sak's Fifth Avenue.

Congrats on the graduation Mana, I hope to be graduating from Purdue at the end of next year.

And I am very excited about Indiana Jones 4. Fairly good summer for movies IMO.

NEW VIDEO Game trade store in fort wayne???

Next to golden corral on Lima road...

Was going down the road and saw 5 little signs that said

VIDEO GAME TRADER with an arrow pointing towards the little strip mall next to golden corral.... didnt have time to look over since i was going 40 mph.... I got to take my cousin to work tomorrow and will be coming down that road again around 7am... hopefully can pull into the drive and see what it is

Interesting note, the Indy Craigslist is showing that someone with an 812# is offering to buy game collections to start a game store. Curious if its a local fellow or McVans looking to expand....

its just called VIDEO GAME TRADER....

where its located at i be shocked if they are still there in 3 months since no1 would even see the shop (its right past golden corral few doors down from that copy place in the same strip mall)

Hey, another Indiana engineer. Cool. ChemE '03 from Rose here, working in Indy as a chemist.

And yeah, you see stuff like that occasionally here, especially on the north side. Were you at the CC up by Castleton? Some of the people up there have more money than they know what to do with... a single coworker of mine that lives up in that area bought her grandson a 60 GB PS3 with two games and a 32" HDTV for his 10th birthday. Insane.

Anyway, did anyone see gas prices around Fort Wayne today? I was just out and saw one station was at $3.97 per/gallon.

MORE INFO

seems some ripped off their signs out of the ground last night so your going to have to pull into that strip mall or you wont see it.

HOURS OPEN
WEEKDAYS 11 am to 7pm
WEEKENDS 11 am to 5 pm

How trades work

They give you 50% of whatever they sell the items for so if they sell an Item for 50 bucks they will give you 25 for it.

I might swing by thursday or saturday (with gas being 4 bucks now its not worth running out there tonight )

they said since they just opened up their selection is very small they said this is their 3rd store and they mostly been doing business in OHIO

STill like to know why another store hasnt ripped off the Mcvans DOT system.

so if you have a 20 buck game and want another 20 buck game you will have to give them YOUR GAME + 10 bucks

Compair to mcvans

Give them your game + 6 bucks.....

Top level game could be harder to swallow there though

MCVANS Your game + 9 bucks
THIS ONE Your game + 25 bucks OUCH

I dropped by that store while running around this afternoon. It looked okay, though I didn't examine trade policies since I rarely trade anything. I also dropped by atomic hobbies and games. They're getting some more games. I saw some master system, sega CD, and saturn games which I don't see often.

I went to Sears as well. They moved the games around to against the wall. They did have a bin of games and other items. There was a sign that said pink tagged items were 50% off. I got .hack // G.U. Vol. 3 for $12 after 50% off. I also got Burnout Revenge PH for around $2.50 after 50% off. They only had one other of the .hack games, but several of the Burnout. They had another bin of games, but I don't think they were 50% off.

So what is anyones thought about VIDEO GAME TRADER... I really do not think they will last unless the change it up a lot... But then again I have only been to stores in the Fort Wayne area for the most part... VERDICT...???

What does VIDEO GAME TRADER need to change? I havent been in there YET maybe tomorrow if i feel better. ran out to Golden corral and ate too much LOL

Do any of you guys know where I could find a NES power adapter for cheap in Fort Wayne? I need one for to complete this system I'm planning on selling. I don't want to spend much since I'm planning on ordering a replacement connector to put in it before I sell it. I've already tried the nearest Goodwill and might try a couple others.

Well if you don't find one locally, I think I have a spare one lying around. I can double check once I get off work.

Disc Replay has a big batch of PS1 games about to go into stock.
I also saw one pile of Dreamcast, and one of Saturn games.

They said they'd go into stock by Friday or so as there are a bunch to work through.

Did you see any good PS1, saturn, or Sega CD games in that pile? I'm always on the look out for any RPGs for those old systems, since that is my favorite genre.

So where is Disc Replay? I might have to check that place out. Maybe trade in my Vectrex + games and Colecovision + tons of stuff I have for that.

It's in the shopping center off of coldwater rd with a rallys, quizno's, and a shoe carnival. What Vectrex games do you have? I found a system at a garage sale a while back for $2, but it didn't have any games.

Sorry, it was behind the counter so I didn't get a great look at the titles.
I know there was at least one stack about a foot and a half tall that was all original PS1 games in the long black boxes before they switched to jewel cases.

In the picture the first stack on the left is all Dreamcast, next to it is Saturn, and then everything in the back is PS1 to the end of the bench.

I should ditch my Turbo 16 Grafx there along with the remaining of my older games (like Saturn, PS1, Dreamcast, etc.). I barely care if I get much for them, I just want a lot of stuff out.

You should maybe put up a list of what you got. Someone on the thread might be interested in something. I would be tempted by saturn games or the Turbo. The turbo is one of the few systems I don't have. I should probably save my money for my MGS4 LE pre-order (my first PS3 game).

If you do trade them in, atomic hobbies and games is taking games again. You might want to check with them to see who would give more.

i stopped past that video game trader next to golden corral.... tey will be long gone before xmas.

30 bucks for a used pokemon peral LOL if you have diamond and want peral you have to give them YOUR GAME + 15 compair to mcvans 6 bucks
