Chargers 42, Titans 14 (CPU)
Pretty straightforward win for the Chargers who didn't try to do anything too fancy. Rivers was just about perfect until a late pick, but still managed to complete 18 of 23 for 289 yards and 2 scores. It was the Gates and Jackson show as usual, with each topping 100 yards once again. Gates and Naanee scored the TDs from Rivers. In his first game as a starter following Sproles being traded, rookier RB Ryan Mathews was yeomanlike, rushing 13 times for 55 yards and 2 scores, one a beautiful 23 yard scamper. Meanwhile, Santana Moss did not exactly cover himself in glory in his Chargers debut, catching 2 for 8 yards, coughing up a fumble on an end around, and averaging a measly 6 yards per punt return.
For the Titans, Johnson was Johnson, rushing for 124 and a score, though most of that came on an 80 yard run on the first play of the 2nd half. Collins threw two picks, both of which were brought to the house by the Chargers (Cason, Stuckey).
The Chargers move to 5-3 ahead of a vital AFC matchup with the Texans.

Venom, I'm sorry it had to go down like this, but I'm also not. You had ample opportunity with me contacting you, and you finally got in touch today but completely failed to show for the time we set. I hope everything's alright first and foremost, and that there are no hard feelings. I couldn't play tomorrow, so this was really the only choice we had - I don't like playing the CPU. No one on your team was injured, though I lost Ogemdi Nwagbuo for the season.
...On a related note, I'm now in even more desperate need of a DT. ubernes, what's the policy on picking players up from the free agent wire when I lose someone for the year?
