Well after never being able to even get in the same lobby, the Jets and the Lions were able to get their game going without an issue. I don't know what we did exactly. I believe he hooked up his xbox to his wireless router inside of directly into the modem. I (think) I switched my NAT settings from Moderate, but I'm not 100% sure. Dashboard just told me it was set to Moderate and to turn off/on router and retry. Not sure if my settings changed, but it worked.
Onto the game. Jets once again gave way to a big 1st quarter. Though, at least this time it wasn't on one huge play on the 2nd play of the game. Instead the Lions worked down the field and scored with a pass to Burleson. The Jets, however, did score on their opening drive on one big play. A 81-yard rush from Greene for a TD on the first play for them. Lions of course answered back with a kick return TD, and I thought we were off to the races.
Instead, the drives finally began to lengthen out from there. The Jets scored 21 unanswered after the kick return. Making it 28-14 midway through the 3rd. Field goals were exchanged and New York scored their last TD on a 48-yard run from LT. Burleson would catch another TD with about a minute to go for a final score of 38-24 Jets. Gg.
Two offense plays stand out for me the most. Keller caught a pass wide open up the sideline and was about 2-3 yards from scoring but as he tried to break a tackle for the TD, he fumbled the ball. Luckily, Holmes was there to scoop it up and take credit for the TD but Sanchez's TD pass was not to be. The other one (and I'm not sure why I didn't look at these again and save the replays), was a beautiful pass to Edwards. It was actually a pretty dangerous pass, but Edwards climbed up and got it and then proceed to fight off Lions for the 36-yard TD.
Jet stat highlights:
Sanchez - 9 for 10, 2 TDs, 242 yards
Greene - 206 yards, 1 TD
Edwards - 90 yards, 2 TDs
Cromartie accounted for my lone INT. E.Smith actually had one too, but Jenkins was called for a late hit on the QB, which I thought was VERY questionable haha. I tried to check the replay during the game, but I don't think that's an option.
Stafford was surprisingly elusive. I few too many plays I gave him too much time and space back there and he would run for the 1st down. I got lucky on one of them though because he dove instead of slid at one point and that caused him to fumble it right to Jason Taylor. A pretty big moment in the game.
