so JD Nealy goes down in the 1st qtr with a dislocated ankle... someone please look at the Ravens injuries and try to convince me that Madden doesnt have it in for me. My top 2 SS's got hurt last week, my starting FS gets hurt tonight, i'm still missing my starting C, FB... and a bunch of other guys i dont remember... fuck Madden



and apparently, Glenn Dorsey is much faster than Vince Young...

then my #2 corner goes down...

Ravens were predictably bad on defense. On either side of the ball for Baltimore, the only bright spot was Chris Johnson. GG Sprice, wish i coulda actually given u some competition cuz the last game we played was nuts.

I think I'll be looking at a top 10 draft pick (if we go that far with the league) for the first time since i've been playing online franchises... nice.

lol... i definately noticed and u kinda did me a favor cuz i'm down to my 3rd string FS and 3rd string SS. Offensively, i think the combination of not having McClain at FB and Matt Birk at C is hurting me more than i thought it would cuz since they went down, I dont get time to throw and when i run the ball, i rarely get out of the backfield. I just want this season to hurry up and end so I can use this (likely) top 10 pick

I've had a bit of a change in plans, so my game may end up a sub or sim unless I can contact the new owner tonight. I nabbed a 3-day pass to PAX East and in order to hijack my girlfriend's dorm room, I need to leave tomorrow evening. PMing the new owner now.
 
Up to you. I wouldn't be opposed to you playing the CPU due to your circumstances. I think I tried to go to PAX East last year and it fell through, but it looked fun!

I got in contact with the new Steelers owner last night and planned to do the game after he ate, but it was already quite late and I ended up falling asleep. I'm not going to lose sleep over what happens to my game...whatever happens, happens, although I'd prefer either a sim or sub so I have a chance to win it.
 
Anyone buy Torchlight? I loved the demo but the lack of co-op sucks. Gf has been playing through Dragon Age 2. From what I've seen, it looks excellent as well although I can see what all the reviews were getting at.

I passed, a game like that needs co-op on the console to get a purchase in my house.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed when I saw there was no co-op, but it just reminds me so much of Diablo that it's going to be almost impossible to resist the urge to buy it and play through it. Don't know how many hours I put into Diablo I & II, but this is one of the closest console clones I've seen.

Must..resist..still...have....4 major rpgs to go through.
 
Torchlight didn't have co-op on PC either. I poured a ton of time into it on PC, it's well worth it even without co-op, it's really fun.

Oh and Doom, if you're a big Diablo player we'll have to play once III comes out.

Have you played Sacred II? If you're a Diablo fan you might really enjoy it, it's the closest they've come on consoles to replicating that sort of game.

I built a new PC pretty much exclusively so it COULD run Diablo III, as well as a few other games. :D

I actually forgot it was sitting in my backlog. I have a buying problem :cry: I've been working on Fallout New Vegas and FF13 lately, should probably start that one next. Still have Demon's Souls and 3D Dot game Heroes to finish....

If you ever do get around to Sacred II let me know, I'd love to do some co-op (it has up to 4 player co-op actually). When I was playing through it I didn't ever get to try the online and I always wanted to.
 
Go ahead and play the CPU whoever is playing the bills. My friend will be taking the bills over sometime Friday/Saturday. We're both pretty busy at work so I'm not going to ride his back to get him to join prior t

Ah right I should probably open up the Free Agency next week in the other league lol...it'll have to wait til I get back from Dallas though since it's kind of a lengthy process.

So BV do you want me to give commissioner to someone else or can you handle it for a few days?

yea I know I just thought we were going to do it after week 4 thats all
 
We'll open up the FAs early next week. I'm out of town this weekend so can't do it when we advance. At the big east tournament double header tonight! Hopefully it gets more interesting!

I'm gonna make this short and sweet....or atleast try to.

As of Today, I will on longer be coaching the Dolphins

As I sat playing the last couple of games...I found myself thinking of 30 or so other things I could be doing with my time, that would be more productive, and more fun.

I think taking on a 2nd and 3rd team and back to back to back losses in 1-2 days really kind of kills your mood.

We've drafted some insane talent into this league recently....and I for one will admit when i'm being outplayed by somebody far more talented than myself. I've found myself in this situation quite often as of late.
When this happens, it's time for me to step down and let the young alpha males take the lead. I was never great, but I was decent. And in this case, decent is good enough for me.

To those that I had great games with..you will be missed.

To those I had some not so great games with, I wish you the best of luck in the future.

To Uber, BVharris, and Master...... THANK YOU... Great work keeping together this motley crew of people who love football....attitudes, work schedules, insane skill, and all the rest of the baggage us crazy people bring with us...

To the rest of the league...Good Luck in all your future endeavours.

Later siradam, I don't believe I played you before but you appear to be a class act. That is the way to go out. Hope to see you around in 2012.
