I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

I FINALLY found a copy of Pirates. A few days ago, we had zero in our inventory. I checked when I went in this morning and we had one, but no tickets or even on the floor. It was just sitting there on the shelf in the security booth, amonst it's fellow XB games. It must have come among a shipment of games on Saturday. Needless to say, it was mine.

cool. so there is a slim chance that even these 9.98 games are getting restocks. hopefully, my TRU will get psychonaughts restocked.
 
Can anyone confirm that SSX 3 for Xbox is also $9.98? I called a store about 20 miles away and they say they have it for $29.95. I wonder if they're confusing it with SSX On Tour?

My copies of Resident Evil 4 and Karaoke Revolution arrived in the mail today. Resident Evil 4's shrink wrap was really messed up. It was torn on several places.
 
So I went to my local TRU last night to pick up a few more games and take back an extra copy of Golden Sun: Lost Age. I picked up Samurai Western and Romance of the Three Kingdoms X. I also got a cashier to remove Baiten Kaitos from the case and asked him to remove the sticker from the UPC. It rang up for ten bucks at that point. So yay for nice TRU clerks.

Anyone in the DF/W area? The TRU over on 75 and Parker has plenty of copies of Black Hawk Down ($9.95)...bought 2 when they went on sale last week. Have been to all of the TRU's in the northern metroplex and the one in Lubbock over the holidays. Myself, my wife, and my 2 sons (11 and 4) are all gamers so we all got something. I picked up Timesplitters: Future Perfect (GCN) and Fatal Frame 2:DC (Xbox) while I was there though.

I really, really wanted Conker, but they didn't have it.
 
most of the games are ringing up regular price or prices at the store which is not 9.89 mostly 19.99.

is samurai western any good because i heard its pretty bad.

If the game is on sale online, most likely its on sale in-store. If anything, I'm going there after I get off of work and can probably check it out for you. If not, if you are really bored, just grab the UPC from a site and scan it instore and see what it comes out. Either way, if i remember I'll check it up for you.
 
i think it depends, and yeah alot of the games on sale are kind of crappy, alot of the more populrs buys are the better games, FF:DoS, Metroid Prime to name a few.

Not that I know of, I think its something like 4.99 for regular shipping? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But if you decide to get 3+ games or so, 4.99 isnt much for shipping, especially if its games you cannot get instores due to being OOS

Did anyone buy and play Bards Tale for Xbox? I purchased one and it says 12 months free of XBN, that is the only reason I bought the game... I wanna make sure it is still valid otherwise I might have to refund the game.

My TRU got in about 10 Pikmin 2 (San Diego, CA, Grossmont Center). I picked up 3 (one for me and two for some Gamestop employee's who wanted a copy) and then Trivial Pursuit for my Mom.

Hey what happens after a price adjustment at TRU? They refunded the difference, but didn't issue a new receipt.

If I return a game on the original receipt, do they refund the "final" price?
 
RIGHT. I tried at one of the D/FW TRU's and got the and UP answer which I expected - but hey it never hurts to try. Those that are getting it for $4.99 are because the salepeople are well....ignorant. :) But hey it doesn't hurt to try.

No sweat off my back for asking anyways. Besides, I asked and they found the last copy of Digital Devil Saga 1 boxed set tucked away in the store room. Not a bad buy for $9.95!

I don't know if star fox was on list but they had 2 of em for GC so I grabbed one. It rang up 50 but they took care of it at register. Guy there also said Thursday would be the next mark down day and he is asking about Baten Kaitos, Psyconauts and Gran Turismo 4 as they are in the photos but they are ringing at the store at 50. I'm gonna check back Thursday morning.

Kay, I couldn't find any games last night, so I bought Meteos for DS instead. But when the cashier scanned it, it said "promo" on the screen. Is there a price drop for this soon?

Either try that, or ask them to remove the sticker upc and see if they allow it to scan at teh real 10$ price. worked for me, but then again it pays to know people ;)

Passed up Dead To Rights 2, but it's ok. Adding all of those games to my recent trade for PoP: Sand of Time, and my girlfriend buying me a puppy, I don't think owning one less game will kill me ;)

Visited a TRU tonight and couldn't believe that a copy of RE4 was sitiing on the shelf. It must have been a return, brought in from the back, or hidden since I visited that same store 4 days ago and saw no copies of RE4.

It says promo for everything you buy that's a videogame. The specific thing that comes up is "videogame promo" under extended information, and it's been that way for months now, in fact.

Still, to this day, I have no idea what it could possibly be for, and i've tried finding out many a time.... maybe benboxer might know?
