I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

the game i gt was Wario Ware inc mega party games...the guy said its kind of similar to mario party..maybe good, but at $10 not too bad a risk
 
RE4 and Tekken 5 are available online again although it's a 3 to 5 week wait. Don't know about the other titles that were OOS as I only picked these two up.

Kick ass! I grabbed both Killer 7 and Psychonauts for the PS2 today on this jawesome deal. Saw quite a few copies of MP2 and Geist at the Colonie, NY store earlier this afternoon. I was hoping to grab a copy of Alien Homind as well, but I haven't noticed this game in any store in quite some time.

The TRU at Caesar's Bay in Brooklyn near the Belt Parkway has both, except all the copies of Baiten Kaitos had the "free" soundtrack, and I've had no luck getting the $10 price. Please don't make a fuss to them if you're unable to either. :pray:
 
If you ask the employee to take off the sticker covering the original SKU on Baten Kaitos (Worth a shot, worked for me), it will ring up 10$.
 
I walked right into TRU and walked out with copies of Geist and Metroid Prime 2 for $10 each.

And I can go back and get more if anyone wants to trade. I *really* want Resident Evil 4. I will trade a new copy of Metroid 2 or Geist straight across for a new copy of RE4 for the Cube. If anyone wants to take me up on it, PM me.

If you can't get RE4 but really want those games, I will consider trades for other Gamecube games that I don't already own (check my collection list in my sig line. 56K warning).
 
to hell with TRU, i go back the second time for this new sale and yet again they dont have anything, i mean i know the sale was yesterday but since the chrismas rush is over and it was a smaller sale, that they'd have something of what i was looking for, but nope, nuthin, zip zilch. No DOS, no MP2, No Metal Slug Advance or 4/5. and the store is depressing anyway, blech.
 
So much for online. Geist is sold out on the website. I was just about to order it there, as I saw it only about an hour or two ago, then poof! Gone. And 3-5 weeks for RE4 is killer. I'll try my luck tommorow with other TRU's.
 
Stopped at one on my way home yesterday (Greensboro NC) and picked up a couple of FF I&II for trade. They must of had about 15 copies out but nothing else on the list. If anyone needs FF I&II I would like to trade for DDS, Rot3K, or Flatout. PM if interested.

i tried to get metal slug 4/5 for xbox cuz it was on the list and the cashier said it was 40 bucks? is this just a flaw in the list? or did that bastard save it for himself!!?!

i dont trust some TRU workers...some of them are abnormal, zit faced teenagers...wouldn't surprise me if they keep the games for themselves. if there's a couple copies left...some dont even bother to check at all

They would for me up through earlier this week...one clerk even found me a copy of DDS1! But now now....just "out of stock"...broken record answers not even looking in the behind the counter shelves much less the back stockroom (which when they leave the door open you can tell is messy as hell!). :)

Torrance store had multiple Geists on the table marked 9.98 so i picked one up to give it a try. They also had Black Hawk Down for PS2 as well as Ghost in the Shell for PS2, though not on the table. Managed to pick me up a copy of Golden Sun TLA, Wario Ware INC, and Geist on this trip, couple days ago managed to snag a copy of DF BHD and GITS SAC at the TRU in Campbell. Campbell had the cases for DDS 1, RE4, all the nice games you would want, but when asked to check for them, of course the cases turn out to be display copies only. Why keep display copies of games you dont have out for people to see is beyond me.

DDS1 is Digital Devil Saga 1 (part of a 2 part series), the utltimate find on this TRU sale. A ton of people want this, including myself.

I'm pretty sure it is just a case of someone coming in and asking for the game directly out of the case and the employees not going back to remove the display copy. It works the opposite way too. I found a Mario Party 5 in the case that wasn't on the shelf.
 
I know this (flipping) may be a touchy subject on here, but I figured I'd ask about this. My friend had been using the TRU sale to flip at Walmart, but not to the extent where he was picking up more than one copy of a game (he only returned about 8 games and only one of them was a repeat). Later that day (this was on Tuesday night) I had an extra copy of Metal Slug 4/5 and went to Walmart to return it and exchange it for a CD and DVD I had wanted. When I went in to get my credit, as soon as the cashier scanned the game, he said he had to get his manager. After the manager looked at the game, he said they couldn't take it. Has Walmart realized this deal and started red-flagging games that are getting traded in frequently? Has anyone else experienced this?

My suggestion for "flipping" is either to trade it in at a gamerush or other place that has high trade value (some are quoting $20-27 or more on some titles) or ebay.

Most likely. I know people on CAG look down on it, but I traded in a copy of Resident Evil 4 at Best Buy in Saugus, MA. Then I traded another copy of Resident Evil 4 in Danvers, MA. I went to Wal-Mart in Salem, MA and turned in Resident Evil 4 and Darkstalkers. Then I went back to Best Buy in Saugus, MA and had my girlfriend turn in Resident Evil 4 and another Darkstalkers there.

As immoral as this may be, not a single employee asked if I purchased the items at the respective stores. Lazy employees sure do help, you probably got screwed because your friend went in and got everything flagged.
 
If anyone comes up with an extra copy of mario pinball let me know, I have an extra geist, Romance IX, golden sun and zelda 4 swords.

I still have my 2 copies of DDS1 that I bought, one for me and one for my gf (she's on vacation and isn't coming back until next semester starts). I'll only sell the 2nd one if my gf cheats on me and I find out...then to punish her I'll sell it to a CAG...muwhahaha! Seriously though don't get your hopes up we've been together for 3 years and she hasn't cheated yet (at least to my knowledge).

Oh, these are the times that living in a place like Arkansas isn't so bad after all. I'm still missing a copy of DDS1 (which sucks, since my local TRU had ~6 in a few days before the sale...another CAG among me I suppose...), but I've been able to grab every other game on the list I was looking for. Now to go grab a copy of Geist and I'll be finished. Great haul!
 
Most Disappointing Game
Geist
Geist had remained in development limbo since it was announced back in 2003. After its release date was pushed back several times, it was finally released this past August and the reception was unenthusiastic. While Geist wasn't a bad game, it suffered from weak AI, poor aiming, and some framerate issues. It simply wasn't as polished as a game that had spent so many years in development should be. Its puzzles and exploration aspects were certainly novel, but just not enough to keep us from suffering a major let-down.

I would have to agree, but for $10 I say buy it, but those thinknig it will be a Halo killer or something close, it's not.

I scored Geist today! The employee was pretty mad because I have gone in there about 10 times and picked up TONS of games. Whenever I come in he goes "You again, why don't you take them all at once?"

I played it for about an hour last night. I guess if someone doesn't own an xbox, this would be the medicore shooter to play. If someone has an xbox, there are better medicore shooters out there.
