[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Which Kmart in Raleigh is this? I stopped by the Kmart on Capital Blvd last night and they had both versions of COD3 ringing up at their regular prices.
 
My wife's going to check her K-Mart today for any of these. She works there part time as a Unit and Pricing Manager only one day a week, but these idiots will just activate the price drops without marking the shit so it's very well possible that her store will have a stash of this stuff.

Hate to burst his bubble but most Sears have their own stockroom for the smaller stuff in electronics. It's usually right near the department. They only have the TV's & big stuff in the main backroom warehouse. I know this because I've inventoried quite a few Sears before. That is the job to have, being an auditor for the inventory crew that counts these stores. I've been in backrooms for Kmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, Target...etc. You wouldn't believe the stuff I've found! lol:drool:
 
I went to the Lem Turner Kmart in Jacksonville and got Kameo for 4.90. Also picked up Halo for Xbox for 10.00. Phantasy Star Universe for 360 rang up 59.99. They had some ds browsers but didn't think I would use it much so didn't pick it up. Its funny, out of the five stores I went to this week, four of them looked like indoor flea markets. LOL

Okay, so the Kmart by me had all their clearance games on the bottom shelf where they woudl stock extra cd's. They weren't even near the rest of the videogames with no sign or anything. No sign even saying they were 30 percent off. Anyways, I got perfect dark zero for 4.9 and then thought about quake 4 for 7 bucks and just cause for 8.40. Maybe I'll stop back after work. i'm a super cheapass gamer though. haha. Oh I did get viva pinata for 20 bucks and that game is crazy addictive.

I'm sure they will. The one thing is that the K-Mart in Danville is VASTLY superior in organization. Discount games are neatly arranged in a bin near checkout. That makes it easier to look through, but it means most of the good stuff is probably gone too.

I also got Xbox Star Wars Clone Wars/Tetris Worlds double pack that was a pack in with a system for 5.00 with clearance tag. Big YMMV I'm sure. SSX On Tour FrontLane was now 4.99 which is cheaper than the non FL clearance price. I finally find a Rogue Galaxy and it was not on clearance at that store. For some reason the 30% discount didn't apply to any of my clearance games and I didn't notice until I got back to work. Will have to PA. Fun fun.

They already had Guitar Hero 3 for PS2 and 360 on the floor as well as the 360 Arcade System. GH3 rang up as before sell date. Oh well.
 
Hit the KMart by Disney today, and though they had a lot more games, nothing much as the way of clearance. Absolutely nothing for 360 aside from a few faceplates and the official 360 DVD remote. A veritable TON of games had been pulled aside and put in plastic bins (according to the clerk, awaiting to be tagged), but they were mostly XB and GBA games - nothing really worth noting. Just looked like they were catching up on old clearance.
 
I had a whole fistful of games at one store, and they wouldn't give me the extra 30%. I even pointed the weekly ad out to them, and 2 different people said no. I said "Okay, I don't want any of these games then." One of them was "Hotel Dusk".

I about fell over in shock. Someone actually organized the Kissimmee store, and all the clearance games below $20 were out of the case and sorted neatly in a front lane box.

Just Cause is fun, for a GTA clone, though I wish the jungle had some little secrets you could find besides getting stuck in the underbrush....ALOT.

One of the coolest moves had to be jumping from one vehicle to another to carjack other drivers, then tossing them out while still moving. Or the grappling hook they gave you to start out with....and using that to attach to helicopters or using the parasail to get a much better view of the island.

They said this game was either 4 or 10 times(I forget which) bigger than San Andreas and San Andreas was HUGE.

If I can find an Xbox copy before weeks end, I may snatch it, since my BB doesn't have any copies of it in the collection of front lane games they have.

My one friend from CAG bought a copy from a BB for me, but I rarely see him, so I may end up snagging a copy from Kmart if I find it. I think both the Xbox and PS2 versions are down to $10(7 with the 30% off this week). I just hope if I snag it for Xbox that it doesn't lock up on the Xbox like the last copy I had.

Hm, VP2 is on clearance too? One the stores near me had like 10+ of them. Too bad I picked it up at the CC clearance last month for cheaper.

Kameo ($4.90 x2, one to keep one to trade in)
Cabella's Alaskan Adventure (4.90)
Top Spin 2 (7)
Star Trek Legacy (7)
Gun (7, rang up as generic 360 Game *shrugs*)
Prey (which actually rang up *higher* at $10.50)
all games for the 360 of course.

I am happy to find Kameo so cheap as, despite what reviewers might say, it was the most fasinating game to me at launch. I hadn't picked one up yet, but @ five bucks, I'm quite pleased. However, I'm a bit bummed that they had no Tomb Raider Legend. Yeah, I have it for the PS2, but I've been playing so much 360 lately, I've gotten spoiled by the graphics ;).

Seven games for under 50 bucks....sometimes I dont know whether to thank CAG for saving me money or curse CAG for promting me to buy more stuff! :)
 
Nice haul over a 3 day period... Monday/Wednesday/Thursday. Started off with the clearance rack and then started going through the 'behind glass' games. Thursday I found the faceplates and intercooler hanging on a rack over by the cd's still marked full price but scanned clearance. Everything scanned what has been already been reported...

I also scanned a stack of the 'white label' end cap games and they all rang up regular price (and one $10 more).

Even though I found lots of games I want, the customer service I received was like hell.
The old fat lady in the electronics dept first refused to help me check the price of the Dynasty warriors PSP game.
She said it was what the price tag says. It turned out that DW psp was out of their system. After I brought all the 16 games to her,
she said that you buy them and sell them on ebay. I was like ????. I said no.
Then she insisted that you bought multiple copies of games and you will sell them ebay.
At first I thought she was joking and tried to start a conversation. NOOOOOO, she was pretty serious.
WTF!!! I said no, I buy these games for myself. She just ignored what I said and kept saying that I buy them for reselling.
I told her that I wound have cleaned all the fucking games on their fucking shelf if I were buying these games for reselling.
She noticed that I got offended, then she said that she was trying to start a conversation and people do buy cheap games for reselling.
She acted like doing me a favor to accuse me of something. I told her to stop it and I do not like her attitude.
She responded:"What you said? OK, if you do not want to start a conversation, then I won't talk to you."
(Did you mama teach you to start a conversation like that??? Idiot!!!).
Shen did not even say one sorry to me in this whole conversation. She was so stupid and messed up with the transaction.
She had to called in a manager forhelp. A cashier lead walked in to help her to void it. I complained what she has done to that cashier lead lady.
The old fat lady just walked off and let the other lady to finish my transaction.
I was so pissed off and talked to their manager on duty to file a formal complaint. The assistant manager was very professional and put down my name & phone #.
She said the store manager will call me monday or tuesday. Well, we will see.

After I arrived home, I found out that fucking stupid asshole rang up one game twice and I had to go back sometime next week to get my money back.

Some idiot Tag wrong sticker on the back of the HIT MAN: BLoody Money (360) & it rangup $5.60 and the cashier peel it off & re-rang up again $18.XX. Yeah, Kinda look bad but who care cos i didn't do it. I may come back pickup Last 2 copies AMPED for $7 each & trade-in at GR for $19 each :)

I wonder how much Chromehound trade-in at GR ??

They are not going to call you back :(...best to call cooperate and report the incident. The associate shouldn't be accusing a customer of that thing. Wiether or not you are planning on reselling it, it is NONE of Kmarts business. They got their money, you got the product , so do whatever you want with it. It's all legal.

In situations like this, its best to always check your receipt and WATCH the ring up screen like a hawk before you pay for it and leave the store. Since you are going back in a few days, it may be difficult to prove that you were double charged for something you only got one item of.

My local kmart has nothing but old people working in the electronics department who don't know shit about electronics and bitch and moan when you want a price check or don't want something that's not on clearance. When it does come up cheaper then the tag, they bitch even more saying "I can't sell you this as it's cheaper then the price tag" WTF?!??! Then I argue with them and they let it go. So Now I go every few days to another Kmart where the electronics associate is this cute looking latina with a nice rack, nice curves and a nice butt. She always wears a white shirt and black skirt :p She has a bit of a zip problem, but the rest is perfect.

Thanks for your advice. Well, we will see. If I receive no call from them, I will definately call the corperate and report it. I will take the extra effort to nail it down. It is no suprise that Kmart filed bankruptcy because they hired so many retards.
I did immediately call the store after I found the double charge. The assistant manager assured me that I will get my money back when I visit them the next time.

This happens all the time in retail as a result of poor wages not giving any incentive for people to work hard/well. Trust me, I was in retail for two years. Most employees just don't care.

I mean, you saw the difference between how management treated you and the cashier, there's a difference of about 20-30k a year there.
