Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Wow, 47 cents, now thats a good deal. I wish these clearances werent YMMV and more consistent. Paid $5.97 for mine, which still isnt bad for Zoo Keeper.
 
Went to my local Sears and I couldn't even find a clearance section. All their games were behind a glass case. Do they usually put clearance games somewhere else? FYI this was the Sears at the Brea Mall in Brea, CA.

Any Folklore or Eternal Sonata sightings in Los Angeles area Sears? Preferably somewhere around 90025 or 91765. Having to make a long drive ruins the deal. :)

Nah, Sears dont really have a clearance section with a sign or anything. Sometimes they would have a small display with random games on it and tags that say something like low price or special deals. Some of the stuff in the cases will normally not be marked at clearance but doesnt mean it wont ring up as clearance, so if you suspect one or just feel like checking if the game you want is a clearance, just ask them to check the price for you.

I'd say it's totally YMMV. The one I went to today actually DID have a clearance bin, and there were no glass cases, just open shelves. Which made it very easy to just walk up and ask for price checks on a whole stack of junk. :lol:

God, I wish my sears had them all on shelves. Every game besides the really cheap ones they leave outside are locked up. I have to wait for one of the employees to open it up for me to check on some of the games. Bastards T___T
 
I guess the Sears I went to today dug through their stock in the back because they had the first DDR Universe 360 Bundle that was definitely not there the last 3 times I went. It was $9.97.

Ithaca, NY @ the Pyramid Mall(now called the Ithaca Mall, I think)? I was just wondering since I've been up that way in the past six months and I was shocked to see that the Sears up there had completely stopped selling games.

Then again, the Columbia Mall in Bloomsburg, PA area also stopped selling games about a year or so ago as well.

I go all over creation for work(driver for an auto dealer)at times, so that explains why I ask about totally unrelated malls in far, far apart areas usually.

I was hitting up every damn mall in the Tri-State area for a while due to work, since many auctions are within a quick walk/drive of major retail areas.
 
^^I won't lie, I always wondered how/why you went to every store in the northeast US. The more I know!

Anyway, I think it's safe to say this month was a bit of a disappointment?

yeah...i'm in st cloud area in MN...lame city...been to shopko, walmart, BBY, target, kmart, sears....no single game deal...very lame...not to mention no blockbuster in st cloud too...:cry:

Have you tried Pricegrabber. com? They list multiple sites and sources for games and you can SOMETIMES find a deal on there, though it IS rare since they list ALOT of independent sellers.

As for me, I bought an opened copy of GUN for the original Xbox today from the Stroud Mall Sears for $3.15 with tax.

It still had the Xbox seal on the side of the case and it didn't appear tampered with, yet I checked it as soon as I bought it. The game was still firmly in the case, so I was happy with my purchase and left.
 
can someone PM me if they've been able to find Bullet Witch :360: in the Inland Empire (southern california) at Sears? I keep going to some local ones and I never find any of the deals.

I know it's a horrible game but I tried it and I would like to finish it...

Man, no you don't. The one's in the cases at the ones near me stay there until I buy one, so I wait until they hit $5 or whatever the sweet spot is. On the shelves more kids thumb through them while mommy and daddy shop for whatever, and if tagged correctly they'll sell. 99% of the grade A finds I've had from Sears were from the case.

EXACTLY!! Had the PSone/LCD screen a fellow CAG tipped me off to been properly marked, it would've easily sold for more than the $10 I paid for it once I bought it.

It's good when the store employees don't re-tag merchandise, but it's bad when there's other people in the area who know the prices and grab every fuckin' thing they can get their grubby mitts on long before they hit 90% off.
 
in VA, picked up NBA Street Homecourt and Def Jam Icon for 4.97, each. Pretty much the cheapest price I would consider spending for either of these. I'd love to see Dead Rising get dropped. It's been in that bin for a while now.

Today I found Yu-gi-oh Tag Force (PSP) for $4.97, Snoopy Vs Red Baron (PS2) for $4.97, and King of Fighters 2006 (PS2) for $9.97. I had to dig in a bin of games to find them, but I am sure there are more sub-$10 games in there.
 
LOL icame in sears today to find some wii game to flip to gs but could't find any of the clearance tittles. Instead I spotted a copy of warhawk w/ hs in the ps3 section got it for 9.97 + tax. They removed the clearce section for games now can't find those clearance ps3/360/wii games anymore

Glad to hear someone was willing to make a special trip down, then run home and package them and ship them out and risk getting the package sent back if they checked and determined that games don't qualify for Media shipping. I know I certainly wasn't.

If I were going that way, I mighta done it, but demanding what way the items be shipped is a good way to get me to tell ya to go fuck yourself and get the shit yerself.
 
went to a Sears in a smaller town about 45 minutes away. I was suprised that for a low-traffic area, there were none of the good clearance games whatsoever. O well, GS made up for it.

Riiiiiiiight. From what I've seen the difference between first class and Media shipping isn't enough to make it worth taking the risk, which is why I was being a hardass about NOT shipping Media.

With you being pretty much local as well, I can't imagine why you would even bother asking people to ship games in the first place. What's wrong with your own personal vehicle that you couldn't have make the trek in your downtime?

I'm just curious.

i will pay extra for the convenience.... I told you i didnt have any downtime this week, and theres not even a guarantee the games will be there should i take the 2 1/2 hours to make the trip.

I also drive a 15mpg gas guzzler, so once again, ill pay extra for the convenience.

we went over this i thought... nearest sears are frackville mall, and wyoming valley mall... both are 35-45 minutes away, usually much more often the latter time, if not longer. Trust me, i went to school down at wilkes university, and sometimes it took over an hour to get down there because of road work and shit.

so maybe not 2 1/2 hours, but definately 2. 45 mins each way, and 30 minutes in store. 2 hours.
 
Thirty minutes in the store? I gave you descriptions of right where to find the games in the store, all you would've had to do was go in the side entrance closest to electronics, turn right and you were almost guaranteed to see Folklore en route to electronics.

Then just keep looking on the lower shelves heading towards the tv's displayed at the back of electronics to find the copies Of Heavenly Sword.

Either way, it shouldn't take 30 minutes to find two games. But all the same, I'm glad someone else got them for you, since I wasn't about to make a special trip to WB anytime soon.

Went to look for Folklore - was still priced at $59.99 :cry: However, the trip was still worth it because I snagged a copy of Heavenly Sword for $19.97 :)
 
Did you ask them to scan it? Mine was in the glass case with the 59.99 sticker on it but i asked him to scan it and it rang up 14.97

The department was void of any Sears employee and the game was in the glass case. I'll go back again either tonight or tomorrow.
 
I popped into Sears and got Folklore for $15, I didn't see anything else really notable. They had Heavenly Sword, but I was counting the dollar bills for Folklore so, next time. Thanks for this thread :).

Just got back from Sears. This time there was a warm body in Electronics. Had them pull out a copy of Folklore marked at $59.99 and scan it because I thought it might be on clearance for $14.97. The guy said "They do a good job of keeping these prices up-to-date so it will be $59.99." I just smiled at him when it rang up at $14.97.

Thanks for saving me a trip, since I usually go to an auction up in Lafayette on Tuesdays and Auburn is a 40 minute trek ONE WAY on mostly state highways. Now, if there were a Best Buy or a couple Kmarts out that way, it might make the trip worthwhile, but I'm sure if there are you hit them up pretty well already, right? :D
